50% off BBQs in BBQ Category on eBay (Sunday - 31/8)

4520
CSIZZLE50

Looks like anything listed as a 'BBQ' under the BBQ category will be entitled to a 50% off discount this sunday! (Max $250 discount)

"The offer entitles you to a 50% discount off the total purchase price (excluding postage) of BBQs in the BBQs category on www.ebay.com.au purchased during the Offer Period."

Hopefully we see some other stuff listed in the category too (assuming that works).

WARNING:
eBay have just added this line to their T's and C's:

eBay reserves the right to disallow or reverse a discount in circumstances where it believes a sale or purchase of any BBQ or other item as part of this sale has not been made in good faith. This includes any collusive conduct by buyers or sellers or any other conduct which eBay considers to be unfair or untoward.

(Thanks JDF)
Be wary of buying items that aren't BBQ's in the category with the discount!

Regardless, anyone after a BBQ should check out eBay this sunday!

  • 1 transaction only (per account)
  • Multiple items per transaction allowed
  • $250 max discount ($500 spend)
  • Must pay with PayPal
  • Must purchase during the offer period (Sunday)

  • Reputable seller has the Weber Q2000 LPG new for $410 Shipped ($217.50 Shipped w/Coupon)-

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-MODEL-Bbq-Lp-Q2000-Weber-Q-/1…

    • Sold out again :(

  • +1
    • Noticed that is well. Only thing there is no such thing as the Q3000 only the Q3100 so I think the store has its model no mixed up.

Not listed on the Australian Weber site-

      http://www.weberbbq.com.au/CompareAllQ.php

      • maybe it is a typo. pictures show it is the Q3100

        • Got an email response back-

          "WE only stock Q3000
          Bruce"

That doesn't make sense as there is no Australian model no. like that and he is showing the picture for the Q3100.

        • @Spizz:

I don't understand too, his other listing for local pickup is Q3100(Item no 321507112489)
Yet he says he doesn't sell Q3100. What?! Anyway I got one

        • Pointed him to the Weber site saying no other retailer other than himself lists the Q3000.

          Here was the response-

"We have stock of the Q3000. Webers site is a mess
          Bruce"

Be interested to see what people end up with.

        • @abracadabra: Different store. Don't think that's his listing.

BCF have a Q3000 on their site.

          http://www.bcf.com.au/online-store/products/Weber-Q-Q3000-LP…

        • @eediot:

Well there you go. Maybe Weber Australia brought in some of this stock. Interesting they don't list it on their site.

Either way he is now Sold Out of the Q3000 and only has the Q3100 for pickup.

  • Anyone have a link for the cheapest 3, 4 or 6 burner BBQ including postage? I'm after a brand new one for work so the cheaper the better.

Damn… wanted to buy a BBQ rangehood, listed as a BBQ rangehood but when I committed to purchase it was under the "Home Appliances" section.. ah well…

  • Can anyone please guide me to buy an electric Weber BBQ?

    • Sold out. On the Q200 models.

    • Why don't they stock the ones with a thermometer?

      • They're not a Weber specialist dealer.

  • What's the difference between q1000 and q100?

    • +5

      900

      • +2

        lol wrong, q900.

        But seriously..

        • The q is the same in both the q1000 and q100. Therefore, 900.

But seriously, i think the q100 is a discontinued model. q1000 is the newer model. Difference probably marketing?

        • @escimojoe: AFAIK, old model has a one piece grille, new model has two halves, and optional hot plate half.

        • @escimojoe: the new model has coating on grille.

        • @escimojoe: Algebraically, it would have been q900.

  • Any Weber Q200 still available for sale ?

  • best priced baby q?

  • +2

Just bit the bullet instead of piss farting around for a Q200 just got the Family Q instead. Worked out better as I would of bought a trolley for the Q200 the Family Q comes with.

Now to figure out where to put the bloody thing.

    • Have you got a link?

    • Was it the one from TGG that has sold out again?

      • Yeah Good Guys one.

I am off to pick it up now and get my postage refunded. Awesome work Good Guys. So all up for $440.

        • Yeah :(, I was late by about a minute as I was trying to type my password in.

        • @skatoz:

same, hopefully they put more up, I'll keep checking

        • +1

@jlogic - how did you organize the postage refund?

        • @bigtimmus:
I gave up chasing the Qs and got a BUGG instead for $301 all up (7 left ATM):
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Beefeater-BUGG-BBQ-with-Trolley-G…

        • @Stix: I got there and they said it's a new policy on eBay orders not to refund the postage.

Wasted my time after I rang them to confirm pick up. I have already sent an email to their Corporate email address.

I don't mind paying it if it was disclosed but it wasn't and then was told on the phone I could.

  • Anyone know or think this seller is legit

    http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/291232349031?nav=SEARCH

He had these kettles for $499 then listed them at $520

just ordered a square fire pit delivered for $61.45

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Aestivo-Square-Fire-Pit-w-Sheet-M…

it comes with a BBQ grill :p

    • That's awesome.

      it's 84 x 84. Bit small.

      • yeah - not a big one. Putting it on a wooden deck with other deck furniture - don't want anything too large that might scorch things

    • I already have a 4-burner BBQ so I got one of these, too :-). Worth a try for ~$60.

      • Darn, I just saw this one with a removable ceramic center for $25 more: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Multi-Function-Outdoor-Fire-Pit-B…

Should I cancel and get this one, instead? Decisions, decisions…

Edit: Oh well, emailed the first seller to cancel and bought this. Worst case scenario, I can always gift the other one. By the way, the 50% off code worked for both in two different transactions.

I have just gone and reported a heap of dodgy listings. I pay excess of $1000 in fees some months and to have the people cheat the system is unfair on the genuine people like me and many others..

I hope accounts get closed because of these greedy people who will ruin the chances of a deal like this ever happening again.

What's a BBQ folk. The sellers don't even try!

    • Been reporting about a dozen an hour all day. Hope they make the buyers pay the full amount.

Whilst I hate fleabay and their fees and policies, 2 wrongs don't make a right.

I am nearly always 1 of the last out the door… like any true ozbargainer got to drink as much free beer as possible. Before going out to party to sunrise.

  • For people who bought of BCF, I've just checked their feedback and it's gotten me worried. In the event that they do not fulfil our orders is there anyway to force them to fulfil it? After all the purchase of the item is a contract

    • I got mail from BCF that my Weber is packed and ready for shipping. Should I be worried?

That said, I'm not really worried.

      • When did you buy?

        • Bought 10:01 am, got mail that it's packed and ready for pick-up by courier at 1:49 pm.

  • and there back 215 sold already how are they going to fill all these orders in a reasonable amount of time

thank you so much, i was waiting for TCG to put more stock. I was able to grab one of the 10 weber family q's in stock.

      • Good job!! Family is now out of stock but there is still "more than 10 available" Baby Q's at 4:36pm WST

      • I think I bought last one from the available lot :)
Does the family Q come with the stand? and does Weber K426624 mean its the latest model?

        • From what i could see from google was that it was Q305 model, but im not too sure, im fairly sure it comes with the stand :)

    • All sold out already

  • Does anyone know whether the patio cart for the Q200 will fit the Q2000? From the pictures from the good guys looks like you will be getting Q200 but since they don't put the exact model not surprised if they send out the newer Q2000.

    • I'd like to know whether the cart for Q200 and Q2000 is the same as well.

      • I asked a question to one of the sellers and they said no difference in size between the Q2000AU and Q200 and that the Q200 stand should fit the Q2000AU. Hope it's true.

  • wow thanks for this op… I got the baby 120 with side tables.

    • How did you get the 120? the only ones I can see won't let me put in the redemption code as they are under the cooking category instead of BBQ.

  • You know you've scored a true ozbargain when your missus spots excitement/anxiety and sweat pits at 10am on a sunday. I think I'm truly addicted.

  • Scored me a smoker and probe. Very nice

It's now fully assembled. I am a happy man.

  • Can someone give me a link to a descent Digital Thermometer cant seem to get one with the code working Maverick if you can. Thanks

    • The Maverik was removed by the Thermapen is/was still available

  • totally forgot about this. i needed a weber family size for this summer..damn.

    • with close to 700 webers sold through tgg alone i will guarantee a lot will pop up on fleabay over the next couple of months because it's going to take that long to fill the orders

  • I'm looking at http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181035346664?ssPageName=STRK:MEWA…

sent an eBay message but doubtful I'll get a reply in time, anyone purchase one or know if it is natural gas or can be converted to natural gas?

Or if it's hard to do if I take a punt?

    • +1

      Out of stock mate

      • In the time I've been waiting for a reply, have no idea what I can do? :(

I also had to send a message because of freight, in the postcode next to me postage is $291 but in my postcode 1 min further away, it quotes $721, so I had to quire this as well.

This phone runs hot enough to cook food apparently :/

    • Is the baby q big enough to feed 4 adults? Thanks

      • +1

        for average adults yes, happily

  • So is it case by case getting postage back from local Good Guys?

    • I'd say not because the physical stores have nothing to do the ebay store and it's warehouse direct

      • Right, though I am sure others reported it with some other deals?

        • not even a corporate tgg owned store will refund the cost of postage for an item that was originally purchased via ebay/paypal, so i'm not sure how there managing to get there refunds,, personally im calling b.s

  • Has anyone tried to use this more than once? e.g. 2 BBQ's or items? and on an accessory, for example a BBQ Sink attachment that forms part of a BBQ?

    • Will work multiple times.

      • Thanks for that, and as far as accessory item goes?

        Anyone tried?

        • Also are you able to preview the discount before you completely commit to the purchase?

        • Apparently it does not work, I asked earlier in the day.
