Notes

  • Minimum $50 spend per transaction.
  • Discount also applies to postage.
  • A maximum discount of $100 applies to each transaction (Transactions totalling at least $666.67 including postage will give you the maximum $100 discount).
  • Up to 3 transactions per person.
  • Payment must be done through PayPal.
  • Discount can be applied to items sold by overseas sellers, as long as you checkout on eBay.com.au.
  • You can purchase multiple items (even from different sellers) in one transaction by adding them to your cart. However, make sure all items are in the same currency. Otherwise, you'll have to checkout in each currency separately and each currency you checkout with will count as a separate transaction.
  • PayPal transactions will show the full amount after the purchase. However, if you login to your PayPal account, find the transaction(s), and click details, you will see a 15% contribution from eBay plus your actual charge to your funding source which makes up the difference. The total needs be 100% because the seller gets 100%. eBay just pays the 15% and you pay the rest. It should look something like this http://i.imgur.com/afbCvki.jpg (Image courtesy of ezarc - Obtained from previous 15% off offer).
  • Items can be 'purchased' before the promotion starts (ie. Auctions ending before 10am Sunday). Payment is to be made during the promotion period with the coupon code applied at checkout.
  • Don't forget to claim your 2% Cash Rewards cash back.
  • Or earn 2 Virgin Velocity Points for every $1 spent from Virgin Velocity.

        • I would go for a 2GB RAM model, which is not that expensive.
The Xperia Z seems good value for money ($278 after discount), but I decided to fork out an extra ~$80 on top of that for the Xperia Z1 (much faster CPU, better camera).
          Don't forget to use www.cashrewards.com.au

        • Can you please send the link where i can get xperia z for $278 i need one better phone as well

That's all well and good… But what about tomorrow?

  • I think his gone mad!

    I'm doing the complete opposite.

    • Yes I have gone mad :)

Cant decide on what HDD to buy 3TB/4TB/5TB/6TB

Still $300 puts a dent in the CC

  • +1

    Noob question…

I'm trying to get an order over $50… Can I order from 2 people together to count as 1 transaction, or no?

    • +8

Yes. Add multiple items to cart and then checkout like you do in online shopping.

    • +4

Yes. Click 'Add to Cart' for each item. Then when you've done that for all items you wants to purchase, proceed through checkout.

EDIT: as above, beaten to it.

      • Lifesavers, thanks Gaggy & sebby (hmm similar names!)

        • +3

          We are ozb brothers :)

    • +9

My first transaction had 4 items, from 3 different sellers.
Total came to $665.48 (before discount), giving me a discount of $99.82 from a maximum of $100

      • Congrats :)

      • Well done, I ended up having no trouble reaching $50… I spent $126.50 (before discount)

Total orders today from eBay: $203.15 then $31 discount

The above was 16 different items from I think 7 sellers :)

Also saved another $3 from that CashRewards site (finally joined)

Darn! Bloody paypal is not cooperating and doesn't want to process payment :(((
I called them but they said the system blocked my request because I have been inactive for too long and now want to make a large purchase… Come on, it's been only 9 months…

Any other options? Any chance I could use a paypal account from one of my friends? The T&C don't seem to allow it however. Anybody tried to use a paypal account with a different email address than their eBay?

    • How about don't log into your PayPal account and select the option to just pay with credit card without an account?

      • +3

The deal is with paypal only.

        • Yes that's what I thought as well. Thanks for clarifying.

        • You can still pay with PayPal without having an account.

      • Thanks sebby!

The option doesn't seem to be there. I know it was there at some point months ago.
Other option is to create a NEW paypal account, and when I do that, it doesn't want to proceed because my credit card hasn't been verified yet (which takes a couple of days as well, apparently).

I'll investigate a bit further to see how I can get that specific option back.

        • +1

If you can see creditcard transactions immediately (like Bankwest, where they show online as "pending"), then you can verify your creditcard within minutes (they do a transaction with a code in the description).

        • @Make it so:

Thanks Make it so (like your name!),

I created a new account, verified my credit card, and it indeed appeared on my Bankwest online statement straightaway. Anyway, just bought a Samsung washing machine… old one died last week.

          Lifesaver!!!!

EDIT: Seems like Paypal only allows one transaction… Tried a second one, and same error appears again. It doesn't allow me to add the credit card to a new account as well. Paypal, such a pita :(

      • That's what the paypal lady suggested as well :)

    • The ebay account Ive used Ive had open for almost 2 years, never bought or sold anything with this particular account, and I was aloud to make 3 seperate purchases of $455 each.

      • Good on you!

Seems like Paypal just likes picking on me.

  • Bought Saucony Hurricane 15 running shoes for Dad. Cost $80 inc postage and cashback rewards. From the catch of the day shop:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Saucony-Men-s-Powergrid-Hurricane…

They actually have some alright shoes in there.

  • +1

    Just itching here…..

    ….What can I buy…?

    • Printer cartridges, power leads, shoes, sunglasses, beach and swimming stuff for summer, microsd cards/hdds/ssd, tea and stuff like that maybe?

      • +1

Oh, I should have been more specific…..

        ….what can I buy after my first $160 transaction….??

        Two more transactions to go….!!!!

        • +3

Or you can save your money if there's nothing you actually need.

        • +3

I bought a motorbike helmet for $51 saving $9. Even though I never intend on owning a motorbike.

These are also rated for Go Karting use, and I hate those rank smelling, wet-with-others-sweat helmets they provide at the venues.
I only go karting about once a year (usually when friends visit from NZ) but for $51 its worth it just for that hour a year… and should last me for years.

        • @systmworks:
          I like ur style ;)

        • +1

          @systmworks:

Aldi have motorcycle helmets for $49 next week. And you can try it on before buying (assuming you are near one)

        • +1

          @PBG:
Yes but Aldi wont give me a 15% birthday discount - eBay did ! (:
And they might not look as nice as these, or meet the same standards.

The one I ordered should fit…. I measured my head ;)

      • sunglasses?

    • you really need this to continue the fun
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Itch-powder-card-joke-gag-funny-c…

    • Just itching here

some baby powder? itch cream? for starters! ;)

    • Might want to go to the doctor to check that itch out

  • Can anyone recommend a grill pan or pre work out supplement ?

Trying to get in shape for summer.

    • I've been using 1MR Vortex preworkout for a few months - this ebay seller also has 10% off so with the 15% you'll get them under $40/tub

      http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271592…

      • +1

I personally have tried 1MR and 1MR Vortex and both aren't as affective as many others. Cellular C4 seems to work best for most people

        • I agree C4 - have used many other ones post the removal of the good stuff and C4 is the only one that has come close to maximising a workout. Has creatine and caffeine and gives a good buzz most mornings. Dont mix anything else with it.

It may cause a headache or two though (suspect from the caffeine).

        • @pw2002au: Bulk Nutrients NO3X up there with prior hall of fame PWO's such as Jack3d and Craze. Probably not available on ebay though….and not for the beginner lifter…

  • I am looking for a bike to ride to work (5kms) for around $3-500. Anyone who knows anything about bikes?

  • +4

I'm following this thread but so far, nothing of interest for me. Oh well, next time.

    • Good on ya for not jumping on the hype train. Hysteria does wonders for impulsive spending :-)

  • +1

Potentially some good deals to be had on iPads. Picked up a brand new 32GB Ipad Air with cellular in an auction (private seller) for $565 delivered after the 15% + 2% Cashrewards, pretty happy with that.

  • +4

Bose QC25. $265 after GST refund

    • Could you please provide the link?

      • +1
        • +1

Should be about $277 after GST refund, not $265

Unless I'm doing my calculations wrong…

edit: forgot that invoice would be the full amount, but even then
          out of pocket= 359*.85= $305.15
          GST refund= $359/11= $32.64
          total= 305.15-32.64= $272.51

        • +1

          @bangbang:

          2% cashback

        • @Thrawn: Oh right, completely forgot about that. Cheap.

        • Sorry, I got miscalculated myself. So it is 359 AUD as original price then GST refund. Hmm.

BTW, how do I get GST refund on this? Sorry again that I am still a newbie on GST. :(

        • +1

          @sparkssj:

Claim at the airport when exiting Australia.

Bose QC25 is an airplane travel item.. I figure a lot of potential buyers will be able to claim GST

        • @Thrawn: Oh, thanks. Actually I will be visiting Seoul next Month 1st from Sydney. Maybe this can help!

This is a pretty good deal for a Sony Lens, the SEL18200LE from videopro if nobody posted it yet. After discount, comes to $598.50 when the RRP is $1,099.

  • best bluetooth headset under $50?

  • if i got multiple items from different sellers, can i have them delivered to two different addresses or one transaction need to have one address?

    • Good question, I've been wondering as well. I couldn't find an option to change just one address earlier.

      • so you have done one transaction with multiple items from diff sellers, i assume? and you have to nominate one address?

        • +1

Yep, you have to nominate one. Can't pick more than 1.

    • +3

      One transaction to one address

    • +2

One address. It wont let you pay.

      I have three to complete.

      1) to USA mailing address in US dollars
      2) in US dollars to AU address
      3) in AUD to my AU address

      thank goodness for 3 transactions!

      • What are you getting? Sounds shiny.

  • It's a shame that you can't buy mail order bride from Ebay. The money saved from this 15% off RRP deal can go towards a home down payment :)

    • +1

dont think you're going to get much of a down payment with $100…

  • -6

looking for a baby cot with mattress new can someone help me to get the best deal thank u in advance

  • Just wondering about the PayPal transaction. I'm using a debit card, so say I have $575 on it, and the eBay price is $670, but after discount its $570. Will my transaction still go through or will I need the full amount in my account for it to go through?

    • +2

it will only charge you the $570, it subtracts the 15% before you pay upon entering the code.
      You will be fine

  • Will the 15% off work for "Make an offer" transaction? Anyone tried this?

    • It should take 15% off the final price.

    • +1

Should do as long as you pay through Paypal and add the voucher.

    • +1

      I tried it, works

  • Things I bought
    - ysl cologne around $50
    - ray ban clubmasters around 90

    • which seller did you buy from for the ray bans?

Thanks OP! Bought ps4 and extra controller $445 total!

  • -1

Very surprised the info in this listing is still incorrect.
It's not ending Monday midnight (0:00 aka: 12:00am Monday) It's ending 12hours after that. Tuesday Midnight (well, 1min before). The very reason they do the 23:59 is to avoid confusion like this.

"This offer commences at 10:00 (AEST) on 14 September 2014 and ends at 23:59 (AEST) on 15 September 2014 (“Offer Period”)."

    • +3

I'm pretty sure everyone knows they mean it ends monday night…

      • wxyz234's post (and it's +'s) shows otherwise. eBay (along with airlines/airports etc) choose 23:59 to avoid these endless confusions. But 'midnight' was added here, and incorrectly used. It's now been corrected/removed.

        For wxyz234 & others confused…
Midnight, 12am, 24:00, 0:00, 12 midnight… they're all ways of showing the start of the new day. You can't name it after the previous day. It's incorrect, and confusing you.

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12-hour_clock#Confusion_at_noon…

    • +1

Tuesday midnight would be end of Tuesday.
