Notes

  • Minimum $50 spend per transaction.
  • Discount also applies to postage.
  • A maximum discount of $100 applies to each transaction (Transactions totalling at least $666.67 including postage will give you the maximum $100 discount).
  • Up to 3 transactions per person.
  • Payment must be done through PayPal.
  • Discount can be applied to items sold by overseas sellers, as long as you checkout on eBay.com.au.
  • You can purchase multiple items (even from different sellers) in one transaction by adding them to your cart. However, make sure all items are in the same currency. Otherwise, you'll have to checkout in each currency separately and each currency you checkout with will count as a separate transaction.
  • PayPal transactions will show the full amount after the purchase. However, if you login to your PayPal account, find the transaction(s), and click details, you will see a 15% contribution from eBay plus your actual charge to your funding source which makes up the difference. The total needs be 100% because the seller gets 100%. eBay just pays the 15% and you pay the rest. It should look something like this http://i.imgur.com/afbCvki.jpg (Image courtesy of ezarc - Obtained from previous 15% off offer).
  • Items can be 'purchased' before the promotion starts (ie. Auctions ending before 10am Sunday). Payment is to be made during the promotion period with the coupon code applied at checkout.
  • Don't forget to claim your 2% Cash Rewards cash back.
  • Or earn 2 Virgin Velocity Points for every $1 spent from Virgin Velocity.

Everki Flight 16" Backpack Laptop Notebook Back Pack
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Everki-Flight-16-Backpack-Laptop-…

    Is it a good deal?

    • Not really, bought a 16" everki notebook shoulder bag the other day for 30 from dse ebay. Has 3 compartments just the same and is heaps lighter (has the shoulder strap as well as a briefcase handle), I can't see why adding an extra strap would double the price, and even if i could Targus sells bags a hundred times better for less
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TARGUS-15-4-SLAM-BACKPACK-MULTI-P…
The above is awesome, it says 15-4 but it will fit 17" laptops easily and I've loaded it with 20kg's of clothes backpacking accross south east asia without an issue, the thing can go through hell compared to everki's weird plasticy feel.

    • It's kinda crazy that the 1+1 64Gb is around or cheaper than a Z1 compact, aahhh cant decide.

I'm surprised that there are still some 1+1 listings, I assumed it would sellout before now.

Has anyone found a cheaper price than DWI for a 1+1 64Gb?

    • -1

I hope not! ebay glitches more often that Cash Rewards does!

  • Any good deal on real GOLD purchase on ebay? Thanks. I can use my AMEX to pay via PayPal and earn some Qantas points as well.

    • +2

or 20 gram for $975 after discount ($1070 pre discount)

Comparing 10g gold bar to buying via Perth mint website vs Ebay
          Perth Mint website 484.97 + 17.5 (Toll shipping) = $502.47
          vs
          Ebay $518 + $5 (standard shipping) = $523 - 15% = $444.55

          Saving $57.92

        • +1

This is worth 436.80 on the market, so you are still paying over the value for gold but not by much. Why does Perth Mint charge so much more for gold than it is worth?

Hey anyone remember the UK government selling half of their gold reserve at gold's 20 year low? The people who bought that, if they sold in 2011 at their peak would have got 6 and a half times its value. Well done UK Government and former prime minister Gordon Brown, genius.

        • +2

          @FabMan:

Everything in Perth costs more than its worth !

        • +1

          @FabMan:

Some sellers on ebay are asking for $580-$630 for this!!————>Tell em their dreamin!

        • +3

          @FabMan:

As the Australian dollar falls, the value of the Gold rises. Thats assuming a constant US$ gold price. But if the Gold increases in US$ and the AU$ decreases this has a double positive effect on the price of the Gold purchased today. The price displayed on the Perth mint website is as of friday, and doesnt reflect the "mini collapse" of the AUD since then going from US94 to US90.5 The AUD price they are selling these 10g bars I suspect will increase on monday morning when trading re opens to reflect the decreased AUD

        • +1

@FabMan: Thank YOU for this great post. Was about to commit.

Which market is this $436.80? Is it physical gold? How do you get this at this price? Please share links. Sorry if all this are noooob questions, will have to start somewhere. Cheers.

Today's total: bass guitar + bass strings + strap + stand. I'm going to be a bedroom bass legend!

I will be delighted if the cashrewards 2% discount comes through as well :0

    • Need a low end bass guitar to play with rock smith game. Any suggestion?

      • Hmmm… I'm not a bedroom bass legend yet! FWIW, I bought it play on rocksmith LOL

I hear the Squier vintage modified and classic vibe range have an ok rep for beginner to intermediate players. If you can find one second hand you'll save a bit of cash. The bass I bought on ebay today is a manufacturer refurbished Squier vintage modified jaguar special for $240. The best I could see online for that model was $320 new here in Aus.

    Voll B44 speakers $81
    Topping TP22 amp $89
    Orico DCH-4U USB 4-port charger $14
5m speaker cables from Selby $8.30
    Sony NP-FW50 generic charger $3

    • 2nd round:

      Sony Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 $696

AUD going down in the past few days plus a seller increasing prices made this about $30 more expensive

      • which seller?

      • Which seller? Looking to buy one myself :)

  • Got The Last of Us for $48.

  • Quick question. I completed my purchase, entered in the promo code. Final price indicated discount. Confirmed payment through Paypal. All seems well… until I logged into my Paypal account, and it shows that the FULL price have been paid. I have yet to see a voucher showing the discounted value. Does this usually take awhile before a voucher is rebated to our Paypal account? Thanks all, and happy shopping.

    • +1

Have you read the OP including the part with a picture?

      • JasRulz63 thanks and yes I have… which is why the question. Mine only shows the full amount paid (no expansion box). Does not show a voucher. My question then, was really to ask how long before Paypal account shows a voucher?

Anyway, I have been refreshing my PP account, and it finally reflected the voucher. Cheers.

    • +13

Every time…. This gets asked every time….

      • SBOB, thanks for the "help" but if you read my question, I have indicated that a "voucher" DOES NOT appear on my statement(I only stated this, because I HAVE read the OP INCLUDING the part with picture).

And I have read all comments before posting this question. If I missed the part where it explains "when" the voucher will appear on our Paypal statement, I do apologise, but at the time of my original post I did not see it (there was no expand box, only had payment completed with full price).

    • +1

Look carefully at the details of the transaction. Usually the summary shows the full price, but in the details it shows the part which was contributed by the voucher, and which by your other funding source.

      • Thanks Make It so, I have been refreshing my Paypal account for the last 2 hours, it has finally updated itself to reflect the voucher. Much appreciated for your help.

If anyone else made a purchase and is paranoid like me, please kindly note that it took almost 2 hours before the voucher updated on my Paypal account. If your Paypal account does not have a voucher updated (as per OP original picture), you may want to double check with Paypal or eBay.

    • I checked my online banking,it shows $900.It's the same amount after discount!

      • Hey Watson4884, you might wanna double check your Paypal at this point. Good luck.

  • +1

Got 2 Sony Xperia Z1's, saved $64 on each, buying for $363 and $369 each (purple was cheaper).
Did a lot of research, and it seems the Z1 is pretty up-to-date in terms of spec, just cheaper because they released the Z2 within 5 months of the Z1.
Was going to buy a Xiaomi M3, but no Micro-SD Card slot…

    • -1

Seems you didn't do enough research on the Xperia Z1's self-cracking issues.

      Good luck hf!

      • +1

Tell me of a phone which does not have issues… There's always going to be something.
Type in any phone model followed by "issue" into Google.

        • +6

          nokia 3210? ;)

        • +1

A crack is a crack mate.
Issues yeah, but one that cracks itself?

        • @SBOB: Didn't want to hold out any longer for them to release the 4G version :)

      • +2

iPhone 4 - Antennagate, Green spot on photos
iPhone 5 - Very thin paint (easily scratched frame), Purple flare
iPhone 6/6+ - ???? (hopefully, third time lucky, no issue)

Previously, I purchased Apple products when they introduced new screens (iPhone 4, iPad 3). Both turned out to be decisions I regret.

        • That's what I figured :) Check productreview.com.au and the Z1 gets better ratings than a Galaxy S4, yet we can probably all agree that S4 is a good phone. Social media can really distort the severety of issues, or the chance of them occuring.

  • +1

Just realised sale goes until tomorrow at midnight…

  • I'm not understanding the bit about overseas purchases. On my phone, if I change my country to the UK and buy something, do I need then to change back to Australia eBay before I checkout or this discount would count toward the purchase?

    • why would you change your country to buy something? just search worldwide

      • -1

The item must be listed on eBay Australia. If you search "Worldwide" instead of "on eBay Australia", I do not think the discount will work.
