  • Darn. Was gonna pull the trigger on kindle but bday code no longer valid after using it only once before

    • +1

Coupon code now back to single use, as originally advertised, due to huge popularity.

      • +1

I see. Thanks for the reply.

Was debating whether to buy the kindle, guess I'll hold off now

        • I would grab it as I don't think this price will be beaten especially with free delivery going off the history of previous kindles.

        • @geebee: cheers But I remember late last year DJ had it for $159. After $15 discount offer and Amex cash back offer if total spend is over $250, it went down to almost $100. Unfortunately I didn't pull the trigger.
          PS. I didn't down vote u.

      • Hi Rep, I bought these Oral B brush heads Last week:
        http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/42160/product/3x-oral-….

After receiving I found out they are fakes compared to woolies genuine orbal b brush heads. And the are the same fake ones that I bought form ebay couple of months ago and got the refund as they were fakes. Your Oral B brush heads are exactly the same as those fakes ones. u can even open a packet and compare with woolies ones by yourself.

How to get the refund? plz let me know. :(

        • -1

They are probably not fakes but parallel import

        • +1

@nubzy: Man I have got a lesson. I will never buy these Oral B brush heads from any other places or deals except Woolworths. COTD, ebay, Shavershop all are fakes. So sad. I wasted my money buying from them thinking it's a good deal. :(

        • +1

What are the tell tale signs they are fake? I was just about to purchase them when I saw your comment.

        • @ninjapanda: a lot of signs actually. new users will not be able to find out easily unless they continue to use it and some of them will get broke later. here are the signs:

          1) plastic feels polished and smooth on original opposed to the fakes ones which got little sharp edges and dents that u can feel that finishing is not good

2)If u look at the metal hinge/spring in the middle, they are lowered more/more visible compared to original. u can take one and go to woolies and compare without even opening the packet. u will see the difference.

3)Fake heads feels tight while inserting in to the motor while the original one will get in easily and make a click sound once inserted properly.

4)Motor makes little more loud noise with the fake ones, seems like struggling to rotate the heads.

          5)bristles will decay quickly

6)in some instances there is a pin kind of metal at the top of the head in between two white dots and that pin will come out leaving the brush broken. and so on. my friend.

        • I bought fakes once, not from COTD.

Basically the bristles fell out very quickly. Perhaps a few per week. Threw them out.

        • I've purchased these from COTD before and they were fine, definitely not fake.

      • There was no where to enter the coupon code for me? :(

  • got chromecast
    thanks OP

    • Show that appreciation with an upvote :)

  • +1

Any recommendations on best value AAA battery chargers for Enloops?

  • +5

Was going to get the Chromecast, but then realised I couldn't re-use the BDAY code.
Then realised the wife has her own COTD account, and hasn't used the code. I knew there was a reason I got married…

    • -8

Well someone also needs to stay in the kitchen to satisfy your appetite.

  • Darn it. Trying to get the Chromecast, keep getting sent to a log in screen after I click on pay … no order in the account, no confirmation email, no payment gone through >:(

    • really not happy. Three times I tried to put the order through. Each time getting thrown back to the "log in" page.

Finally got a "live chat" rep, who seems to be multi tasking in a major way, struggling to get them to respond to me, the product finally shows "sold out"

Really not happy with Catch of the Day

      • Still talking with the live chat person.

Getting nowhere fast with them. In response to "what can you do, now that I'm an unhappy customer", they say nothing, and then proceed to ask me inane questions like, did the payment go through on my credit card (We established the order didn't go through and I'd said I used Paypal anways and I'd already checked)

Now they are asking me to try putting the order through again, even though I said the status is "sold out"

        !? :S

        • Even tried telling me the irrelevant stuff about "if the order isn't finished, it can sell out"

except I was able to add the item to the cart 3 times … so it didn't sell out for the 1st two times.

anyways, sent a message to customer service through the online contact form. Very irate now though, after dealing with the "live chat" person

        • +1

Have had same problem but managed to complete the purchase with the Ipad. Sorry to hear that…

    • Heya, shoot a message to our Help Centre and they'll do their best to help https://helpcentre.catchoftheday.com.au/hc/en-us

    • Try logout then log back in.

Wild card deals aside, there's been absolutely nothing worth buying in the hourly sales… Majority of it was just stuff that's been on cotd for ages reposted under a new banner.. Not even any price difference

  • why is the postage on yamaha 220 so expensive?

    • Did you mean Yamaha HPH-200 ?

    • +1

      only showing as $8.87 for me to wa .. ( HPH-MT220 Over-Ear Headphones - Black )

  • No decent wildcard deal in 11 pm release :(

  • No wildcard for this last set of deals?

  • +2

    WHERES FALL OUT???

This might be it: Advanced Warfare $59.95 http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/42735/

  • Call of Duty Advanced Warfare for PS4 or Xbox One $60

  • +1

maybe the wildcard is not an physical thing, maybe the real wildcard is in our hearts. thank you COTD for helping me realise this

    • how much is it?

      • -1

$1 billion if you can find a Billionaire that needs a heart transplant but has to wait on the donor list.

  • So I brought Skyrim how do I start to download the game?

    • +1

You'll need to download the game through the Steam client. Visit http://store.steampowered.com/ and click the green Install Steam button at the top of the page, make an account and register your key when Steam has fully installed.

      • Ok. But where I get the key from? I got an email confirmation from COTD but the email did not contain the key.

        • Keys haven't been sent out yet

  • How long are the wildcards eg Kindle staying up? Tonight only?

  • Has anyone noticed that the Kindle is called a Paperweight instead of Paperwhite? Those are two completely different kind of features, one I really don't want to fork out over $100 for.

  • Hey OzBarginers

Does anyone have any experience with either https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/42598/product/cygnett… or https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/42598/product/kensing…

Both are pretty cheap for me since I have $20 of store credit and the $8 BDAY voucher to use….?

  • +1

Thanks, I needed a new pair of Havaianas..decided to buy the Sony 50" too though…

  • thought about the yamaha mt220, but shipping was around $26 to qld.

  • +1

Just got a shipping notification for my 2 packs of Eneloop's. Surprising considering it said 2-4 weeks iirc.

    • +1

      We try!

  • +1

Eneloops have been shipped. Now I just need some devices to put them in…

  • I just got an email indicating my "Kindle 6" WiFi Paperweight" was shipped :)

  • First eneloops in my hands now. They're so pretty

  • Holy crap, my Chromecast arrived today! Quickest ever.

  • Very impressed with COTD's customer service. I bought a pack of AAA & AA eneloops but received 2 AA packs. Spoke with customer service and they refunded the $2 i paid for the AAA packs right away.

    • I am more impressed!!! I actually LOVE COTD after this week. Received 2xAAA too but after contacting them via live chat they said:

"We are already aware of the issue.

You should receive the correct item in the next few days.

We apologise for the inconvenience Greg."

  • COTD stuffed up my order, sent AA instead of AAA. Anyone wants to exchange AAA with AA anywhere in Canberra - ACT?

    • same here 2xAA instead of 1xAA and 1xAAA
update: contacted Cotd live chat and they said they are aware of the issue and they will ship the correct item soon!!!

  • Received my Chromecast in Brisbane today. Nice work COTD !

  • +4

I also had 2 x AA's sent although they told me they had no AAA's left. I was refunded my $1.98 and had $8 credit put in my account as I used the BDAY code….and they let me keep the extra pack of AA's.

A lot of online retailers could learn a lot from this awesome service (I'm looking at you Dick!!!). I've had nothing but great experiences with CotD.

    • Isn't the deal is powered by DSE?

      • I have no idea but it certainly wasn't anyone from Dick Smith that I was chatting with on the CotD site.

    • You bought AA and AAA, then they sent you 2*AA and refunded you $2 and $8 credit coz no AAA? So you have 1 pk AA for free?

    • +3

I would like to add to this. COTD has fantastic customer service. Dick Smith sent out the wrong batteries and COTD offered for me to keep the others. Here's what they said:

"My sincere apologies for this inconvenience. Dick Smith have recently contacted us to say that there was a mix-up when packing their orders, and that AA batteries have been sent out instead of AAA. However, they have also informed us that they will be sending out the correct AAA batteries to everyone affected as soon as possible, which should dispatch shortly. As a gesture of goodwill, please keep the received AA batteries."

      • Wow! I didn't know we would be getting the correct batteries as well! That's awesome customer service!

        • $1.98 ain't bad for 16 eneloops!

        • +1

Just got my AAA's now! awesome! Didn't even get notified, they just turned up :) $1.98 total for 16 AA & 8 AAA Eneloops :))))

        • +1

@rukia: LOL! Same here. Three packs just turned up so total 24 AA and 8 AAA for $3.96 delivered!

        • +2

@rukia: Yep, just got my AAA's also….gotta be happy with this deal :)

It's probably safe to say that despite all the great prices we've had on Eneloop's this one will never be beaten, for those who managed to score the AAA's anyway.

      • I guess this one time we should also give kudos (just a little) to Dick if they are still willing to honour our original orders although my order was marked as cancelled once I was refunded so I am not so sure I'll be seeing those AAA's.

        Fingers crossed though.

  • Got my MicroSD today, nice. Eneloops haven't shipped though.

    • I got my eneloops but havent received the microsd yet.

  • Received eneloops and chromecast today.

  • Got none so far :(

  • Does anyone know when we will get the iTunes cards?

  • +1

Just got my iTunes code :)
Accounts now up to $20 and only outlaid $2.99.
Almost as good as this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/78435
