I had a look at other sites and this seems like a decent price for those on Telstra.
I really don't know if other places outside of Telstra can unlock this as Telstra unlocking fee is crazy.

    Pretty sure it will be unlocked- states 'telstra software loaded'. I have a phone with optus software/logo but I'm using a telstra sim. I belive most, if not all, higher end smart phones are unlocked.

        prepaid phones are usually locked, only the post paid/outright phones are unlocked.

    I remember a calling Telstra and they said only iphones are locked.

    If you do get this, do yourself a favour and install cyanogenmod.

      Not true.
      I got a cheapy Telstra Prepaid Nokia Lumia 530 and it was definitely carrier locked. Thankfully I was able to get it unlocked cheaper than Telstra charge

    This seems like the 3G model which has 1gb RAM.

    Decent price but I personally would pick the Zenfone 2 (base model) for few extra

      This phone is sold out at the price unless you want to get it second hand from gumtree. I would really recommend that you try to increase your budget and get the LG G3 32gb which is very decent and powerful device and priced at $400, QHD display and 3gb ram and good battery. Otherwise, Moto G 2nd is not bad if you cant afford the LG G3 32gb as the 16gb comes only with 2gb ram.

          In terms of spec, S3 4G is better, 2GB ram, better SoC + I think I've read that telstra version, even though it's technically a different model, works with the ROMs for i9305. Moto G is known for better optimisation, but if you were considering getting these and rooting it, I think S3 4G is a better choice.

          I can confirm that telstra s3 4g will work with i9305 ROMS as i did it before to get raid from their blots.

          As the S3 was sold out, I just Bought the zenfone 2 ZE550ML at ebay, payed 250. I Hope it`s not too big for me.

          Had bought a sony z2 one month ago for 340, but the store didn`t send so I asked for a refund and bought this zenfone.

        Nah but add a little under $200 to the price and you have a flagship LG G3 or One Plus One.

        Both phones are significantly higher in performance and screen quality not to mention larger if that's your thing.

        I mean compared to the Chinese manufacturers. $200 is getting dangerously close to octacore 1.7GHZ, 2GB+ ram, 16GB+ storage, 1920x screen etc
