    Is this genuine?

    • +8

      Genuine Xiaomi

      Not sure man, not sure.

      • +2

Maybe ask people from the previous banggood deals on this product?

      • +3

Because thats never fooled anyone on ebay

    • +3

Yes they are, but will take over 3 Weeks to get here.

      • +1

I never received mine, I just got a refund.

Pretty good refund process though, not much hassle.

    • +3

I got two of these from banggood and can confirm they are genuine. The postage is really slow which will take 25-35 days to arrive. If you are in a rush you may need to look somewhere else.

      • Still for this price you can buy 2 for the price of 1 from an Australian seller.

        • +3

If im going overseas next week and i need something to use while travelling then i will be more than happy to pay %100 extra to get it fast rather than paying $80-$100 for those sold at shop.

        • +2

@User_153999: yeah that's true. It's insane - the prices of power banks at bricks and mortar though..

        • @ShamelessBargains: Still waiting to see mophie going into liquidation :)

        • @User_153999: haha saw one of their charging phone cases for $250 the other day. The margins on that must be incredible. Probably just a Xiaomi power bank with a cheap plastic case on top from China.

      • i bought with registered post - arrived in 2 weeks

    • -3

Gee.. I've NEVER thought that there will be the day that a consumer asks "Is this a GENUINE (Chinese Made) product?"
      Isn't bad enough?

    • +1

Can confirm it is fake :( i had a Chinese friend of mine look at it. He bought a genuine one when he went to china a few months ago. In saying that though, it works perfectly well and has the stated mAh so and i've been pretty satisfied with it.

      • I bought two last deal, both genuine.

        • he said the differences were so small that unless you were aware of what the duplicates had differently you wouldn't be able to tell, it was something to with the power indicator. But seriously its essentially just a big battery with an Aluminium casing, i don't see how they could mess that up. as long as the storage capacity is the same and battery works well it doesn't really make any difference to me. i'd still recommend it to a friend.

        • +1

@deal seeking missile: Fake ones could be using secondhand cells from old laptop batteries, or simply use cheap lower-capacity cells. It might work fine for the first few months then go downhill from there.

Apart from the battery there's also the boost circuitry which could be less efficient than the genuine one. It could also have less or no protection from short circuits or overheating.

My fake xiaomi 16000 takes forrreeeevveeeerrrr to charge too, and doesn't support passthrough charging.

        • @eug:
Hmmmm…. interesting, maybe its real after all. I've had it for about a year without any problems.

    • +1

The one I bought from the previous deal was genuine (Mi in the USB connector, the code in the scratch away panel was certified online and the charger pass-through worked) did take 3 weeks to arrive though

    • +1

Banggood sells 100% authentic xiaomi products.
They will have a scratch code for you to verify on xiaomi's website. Only downside is the waiting time

  • -5

    CBA is better

  • +6

They are genuine, however the one I bought from banggood died after 4 months and they refuse to refund without me first sending it to China, yeah, send the fully charged faulty battery pack aka firebomb. Currently seeking a refund through paypal.

  • Are these slimmer then the 10400 version i just lost?

    • +11

      yes 400mAh slimmer

    • +1

Almost the same performance but this one is a bit smaller and comes with 3 battery inside it compare to 4 batteries in the 10400 one. I got both of them and im mostly using the 10000 model because its lighter and smaller and easier to carry :) Get one.

      • -1

I think you mean "cells" rather than battery

  • +5

I'm not sure if it's still a thing, but when I bought mine from banggood about a month ago I was offered a 10% discount if I bought through their app, (more of a saving than cashrewards, and no waiting). Also, as a side note, mine arrived with no problems, but as mentioned by others, shipping takes about 3 weeks.

    • +1

ok will see if this still works :)

    • +2

Can confirm, this does work. Just created an account and was given a unique code which gave me 10% off my first order. Have updated deal.

Thanks for your help jamescd :)

      • +2

        Great, happy to help :)

      • No code for me

    • @jamescd: did you go with tracking option for your shipping? Or just the free shipping option?

      • +1

I just went with free shipping

  • +11

hahaha, I posted the previous deal. Can definitely confirm they're genuine. Took about three weeks to arrive.
Except they sent me a pink one instead of silver, and I'm offering to return it so we can exchange, but they keep offering me free silicone cases (which I don't want) and now they've offered me $5 USD - I don't know what to do… They don't understand that I just don't want a pink powerbank. I am a guy. Should I just open a paypal dispute?

    • +15

Embrace it. It is an awesome pink.

      • even roger federrer wear pink nike shoes

      • +1

hahahaha, it doesn't even match the rose gold iphones…

    • +1

Should I just open a paypal dispute?

To what end? You CANNOT return it for the value that it's worth, so you will never get it resolved nor refunded.

This is an incredibly simple thing to solve.
Just sell the pink one and buy again.

      • +7

This is an incredibly simple thing to solve.
Just sell the pink one and buy again.

Not really. I just want the product that I bought. I don't want ot have to deal with selling it etc. I can open a dispute on the grounds that I received the wrong item and the seller won't exchange the item.

However, I'm considering just keeping the pink one as a gift, taking the $5 USD and simply buying another one…

        • +1

buy a black case. you'll need one anyway given how heavy they are.

        • Mate if people were selling the pink one for $5 less than the others everyone here would be buying them instead. It's 1/3 of the price! 1/2 if it's USD

    • +7

They don't understand that I just don't want a pink powerbank. I am a guy.

Well the plus side is no one would want to steal it yeah? Be functional, you're a guy :)
      Great convo starters haha

      • +1

        it's not pink, it's salmon

    • +2

Haha keep persisting, same thing happened to me except I got gold instead of 'red'. Got offered 300 Banggood points first, then a silicone case, then a half refund and then they finally they gave me their address and instructions for returns. I'm now considering the half refund instead though…

      • Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, it just seemed a bit fruitless as we've exchanged around six e-mails now and I think I'm talking to a different person each time… I might just take the $5 though. That's basically a half refund.

        • I don't think it's right for them to request you to send it at your expense as it will undoubtedly cost more to send it back than to purchase another one.

Since it is their fault, they should just send you another one, this time the correct colour.

        • +1

          @ChillBro:
Yeah if you push them enough, past the freebies and partial refunds, they will give you their return address and offer to pay for the return shipping costs and then provide a replacement (which would all up probably take over a month and a half)

        • +4

@ChillBro: I was just going to use the PayPal returns thing. Never used it before, so I figured it was a good reason to try it! I totally get where you're coming from, but at the same time, I understand that mistakes happen, and these guys can't make much money selling these at these prices, and covering shipping costs three times.
@Forenti: and yeah, I figure it will be a logistical nightmare for us to send something in to their warehouse and for them to send the right item back out. I'm thinking returning/exchanging would cause more problems than it woud solve.

        • @ts13:

was just going to use the PayPal returns thing(paypal.com). Never used it before, so I figured it was a good reason to try it

You still are not grasping that YOU CANNOT TRANSPORT IT to return it. It is a Lithium Battery Pack, so you will not be able to get a (non-specialised) carrier to accept it.

        • @llama: I've used the PayPal returns service once. Basically you choose whatever courier company you want, send them the receipt that shows the original sender's address as the destination, and they'll reimburse you up to $40.

So I suppose you could use DHL or FedEx who do transport batteries.

        • @llama: Never considered the issue of transporting Lithium Battery Packs, but eug summed it up pretty well for me I guess :)

    • +2

Just stick with the pink. It'll turn some heads. Use the $5 credit to buy a pink t-shirt to match. DO ITTTTT

    • +1

Same thing happened to me. Purchased the gold, received the pink. Best I could get out of them was 50% refund and kept the pink. They said I could sell pink and use the refund to place a new order for gold.
Purchased using PayPal and they helped with the refund.
      Don't settle for a $3 case.

    • Same problem. They refused to change it. I gifted it to a female.

  • Dang just got one off ebay 2 weeks ago for 32.95… Its actually quite heavy, but does the job, there is a hologram on the product with a unique number to tell if its real

  • +2

I've got one of these and find my phone discharges faster with same use than when charging via mains. anyone have same issue

    • +1

Don't have one but surely this can't be possible? Unless it's charging your device quicker than the mains which I doubt?

  • finally bit the bullaaaayyyyyyy and got one
    cheers

  • I ordered gold in the previous deal, they sent me a pink one instead.
They offered me a refund of $8.50 so that was cool

    • haha good old pink, at least you will never lose it though..

    • $8.50 AUD or USD?
Same happened to me - except I've only been offered $5 USD. Now I know where the bar is…

      • +1

It would be AUD because my refund is about that - pretty much the same as $5 USD so don't worry, they're not ripping you off

    • Gee so we've all been getting the wrong colours! What a mess
I ordered red/pink and got gold. Almost seems cheaper for Banggood if we all swapped our powerbanks instead of sending them to China and back

      • Gold is a rare colour for Xiaomi power banks interestingly. Maybe it's just pot luck at the banggood warehouse.

  • Missing something ?
    Shows $22 for me ?

    • You have to select the silver colour in cart. By default it selects the pink colour. Hope this helps :)

    • +1

It is cheaper only for the silver version. Use the app to get a further discount.

    • download the banggood app on your phone to get a 10% discount. make sure you choose the silver one.

      • +2

I tried using the %10 code but nothing shows up. The code keep saying its only for non-discounted item? Is there is anything wrong?

  • How long do these hold their charge? If I charge mine fully and keep it in the car how long would I be able to leave it until I should recharge it

    • I have no idea. But i have heard something that if you are going to store the battery without using it for long peried (Eg; 6 month) Its better not to fully charge to avoid the battery losing its original capacity. I have one of these at the car fully charged and i barely use it, i got about 2 full charge for iphone 6 plus before the power bank need to be recharged. Be Careful that car interior can get really hot under the sun and i dont think its a good idea to keep the power bank under sunlight in the car.

  • +1

bought one a month ago from banggood for similar price. absolutely love it. incredible value for money given how good they are. about to buy some xiaomi piston 3 earphones now with the 10% app discount.

    http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/test-centre/mobile-phone/20-best-…

the 10000mah powerbank feels like an ipod mini but a bit wider and much heavier.

colour won't matter too much if you're getting a coloured case - http://www.banggood.com/Silicone-Protective-Back-Cover-Case-…

  • Which one is the smallest of all? 16000 or 10000 or 10400 in terms of size(dimensions)? Thanks

    • +1

      10,000 for sure

  • +1

Can you carry these on planes? I heard about not being able to carry batteries on planes.

    • +2

Yes, I took this one on a plane last week. The new rules seem to be about batteries being sent in the cargo hold as opposed to being carried on board.

  • is there a promo code i can use before i sign up?

  • +1

I bought this last deal and it's great. Quite a bit smaller than the previous versions. I'm in Melbourne and the Banggood delivery is always pretty quick. I've got no complaints.

    • @wolffram: How long did it take for shipping to arrive in Melbourne for you? Also, which shipping method did you choose? Free shipping or paid with tracking?

  • +1

Cool ordered one with discount but going to uninstall that app…. wants far too much access…

  • +1

How to get 10% off…I downloaded the app and registered a new account.. But it does not take take 10% off… Is there a code for it?

    • +1

Want to know too, mine said cannot use code on discounted items!

    • +4

On the bottom of the Shopping Cart screen, you should see a heading Coupon & BG Points. If you touch on the arrow >, you should see 10% off with First App Order. Touch on Use to apply the 10% off. It worked for me.

  • Has anyone tried to subscribe to the newsletter? The site claims you'll get a $50 coupon 7 days after subscribing. That seems like a good deal if true!

(Sorry if this is common knowledge).

Hopefully this awesome deal will still be around.. but if not, I guess the $50 coupon is still a huge saving. (Although what happens if you're purchasing an item that's less than $50?)

  • I ordered two red last time around and received 2 gold ones yesterday. Reading this thread it seems it was a common occurance.

  • It's showing $16.52 for me? But it's still cheaper than the previous deal which was $0.02 more!

  • And now $22AUD for me. I think the deal has expired now.

  • Thanks bought two.

  • +1

Terrible experience with BG for last purchase, luckily it was a small purchase , good price though

  • +1

Silver now showing out of stock. Expected restock on 14th of October so not too long a wait. I ordered 2.

    • +1

Yeah it has been showing that for awhile. 2 10,000 mAh power banks for under $30 is great though… Just hoping they come before Xmas haha

      • How did u get the price below 16.52 ?? The 10% off doesn't work for me

        • +5
          • I downloaded the Banggood app.
          • I made a new account on the app.
          • I added the power bank to cart.
          • I was given a 10% off code in my cart which I ticked to apply.
          • I placed my order.

          Hope this helps :)
