    I've been holding off from buying something from Futu Online for more than a week. Finally caved in last night and bought it. Was about to give myself a good smack on the head when I saw this, but for once I'm glad the store I wanted to buy from isn't included!

  • Great way to get 20% of Catch of the Day products

    • Only a small subset of COTD site are listed on their ebay store.

      • 7210

        goodluck

      • Yeah, I noticed not everything is there, but most are!

  • Those $100 vouchers we got……………. (or $50) … yeah …………. Ebay /shakes fist….

    • -1

      Dont think we can use those

      • That's my point :(

      • how do u redeem them or where do they show up to utilize them?

        • +2

          If you got one, go to MY Ebay - down the bottom it'll show it.
          Not usable on this deal tho :/

  • Was thinking of getting a PS4 - the stores on sale seem to just have the 1TB version. I read somewhere this was older hardware. Can someone confirm, Is there anyway to tell if the 500GB or 1TB console is older or newer hardware?
    Thanks

    • Thinking the same

    • +2

      hmmm Big-W / Target conveniently out of stock for all consoles

      • Three people have purchased since the sale has started: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-PlayStation-4-PS4-1TB-Console… thinking they will jack up the price soon or sell out.

        I would buy one but don't have the $$$ in my account at the moment so this is really frustrating.

          @Jackson: Poor form dude.

        • -1

          @Trishool: Poor form for highlighting the plight of actual poor people

        • @Jackson: No, for making a mockery of their plight.

        • -3

          @Trishool: That's just presumptive, highlighting the true suffering of people while the rest of us sit back and complain about our first world problems can help not only to put things into perspective for those in the first world, but also keep this suffering in the front of mind of said people, waking them up to real issues in the world rather than the overly indulgent day to day that so many concern themselves with. In bringing forward the plight of any people we should be able to use every tool available.

          Now if a few people in a hasty cloud of political correctness presume that I am making light some people's plight, that would be completely incorrect, and it would shut down an avenue of discourse that brings attention to it. On the other hand, if people are complaining about someone making light of a persons frustration about being unable to buy a game console (which is what this situation is) then they also need some perspective I would say.

    • Email or phone them and ask if it says CUH-1202B on the bottom of the box of the 1TB console.

      Im not sure of the code for the 500Mb console.

      • From the picture looks like new version as no glossy bit

    • +1

      You definitely want to make sure you get the new one. The old one I've got - many people claim "it's fine!" it isn't - it's a little noise beast in certain games, let alone peak summer.

      I've had to install a rear duct fan in my TV cabinet to help it (the cabinet is already very open, lots of space) - it brings it down to acceptable levels, just.

    • pictures show the old model (http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/vaio_sony/imgs/c/a/ca4e0120.png)
      sent them a question through eBay anyway

  • Any deals for Bose QC25?

    • Yep, price match boombeats.com.au with Officeworks and you'll get them for $284 delivered.

      • Thanks, Will be doing that.

        • No worries :-) I did it on Saturday morning without a hitch, you just have to call them instead of doing it in store.

        • -1

          @Porthos:
          Guys beware of this store !!!! Please read through the comments on this post before taking a plunge.

        • +7

          @pandaaram: I know.. hence why I said to price match their price at Officeworks.

        • -2

          @Porthos:

          How long would delivery take? I need it by Friday….

        • @michaellee117:
          I haven't received it yet, but Officeworks are usually pretty good. If you're in a capital city it should arrive within 2 days. So if you called them now and ordered it, you should easily get it by Friday.

        • -1

          @Porthos:

          Just calldd and got quoted $304 since they are adding boombeat delivery cost…

        • +1

          @michaellee117: There are no delivery costs. It says down the bottom right corner of the main page:

          Free Postage on orders over $39.95

          I'd be calling them back and telling them to refund you, have no idea where they got the postage cost from.

          Even when you add it to your cart you're giving the option of delivery fee, or a free delivery option:

          Australia Post

             Parcel Post (Standard Service) $15.90
              Express Post (Standard Service) $27.70

          Free Shipping

            Free $0.00

        • To the person who negged my original comment, suck it :-)

        • @Porthos:

          Manage to get it for a bit cheaper.

          Myers $319 + Amex $30 off + TRS

        • @michaellee117: That's alright then. I had seen the Myer price and was going to get Officeworks to match that if they didn't want to match Boombeats, but they were happy to. But at least you only paid a little more than I did, and with this you get the TRS as it's over the $300 as you mentioned.

          Good price anyway! Seems from online tracking my Officeworks order is already with the driver today for delivery :)

        • @pandaaram: I +voted you because you meant well.

        • @michaellee117: I've got AMEX - can you pls tell me how I get the $30 off at Myer?

    • tried the search function to see?

    • plz let me know when you find. thanks
