Hi Op, Now that CNY is over can you provide a coupon for use on the Qualcomm Certified 2 Port Car Charger?

    TS-CC2PC

    • I can find out, but it probably won't beat this price.

      • I'm interested in a two port also

      • Just make it interesting, loved the discounted TNT shipping on the 5 Port you had on here while back.

      • Same here,interested in 2-port

      • +1

Just throwing it out there, there are people who are interested in 2 port version

    • +1
      • Thanks.. Ordered

  • Can not buy it! shows: sorry, you can only buy one pieces!

    • I'll get confirmation on it being 1 per person and get back to you.

      • +2

The error is when trying to add to cart, not at checkout.

      • Would like two also. Thanks

    • +1

The coupon will only apply to 1. Please make a separate order and you'll be k.

  • +1

I bought one a while back, and went to order another for my brother, with no luck.
    EDIT: nevermind, working now

  • +1

    Great price! Ordering now.

  • Clear, do you sell any Mini USB cables? I have a Nuvi 50 GPS and a G1W-C dash cam… both use a mini USB type plug.

    • Yep we have a few here. You've got the same idea as me. I'm running my G1W-C off this.

      • Thanks clear,
I've got a similar setup (g1w-c) - can i ask which cable you are running (if its from geekbuying) ?

Tried looking for a suitably long cable but can't seem to find one (and struggling as some products don't seem to specify length)

        • +1

I'm just using an old long cable from a digital camera years ago. Any long cable should do.

    • G1W-C doesn't need much power, I have mine running off an el cheapo 4.5m USB cable from eBay. It came up to be 26AWG (28AWG/1P+26AWG/2C printed on the cable but not empirically tested), and has been working fine for me for a number of months now. It is connected to my Tronsmart Quick Charger though.

      • Did you get one with an angled connector?

        • Nope

  • My phone doesnt have quick charge, Sony Xperia Z, will these still work?

    • Yes. Your phone will utilise the VoltIQ in all 4 ports.

  • +1

How good are these? I'm sick of those cheep Chinese car chargers. They either don't last long, don't sit in the socket very well or give bad interference with the car radio. Will I experience any of the same problems if I purchase this one?

Mainly looking for one to quick charge a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7" (Qualcomm compatible) and Apple iPhone.

    • +1

Amazon reviews are good and this charger has been popular in the past. The devices I listed in the main post use Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0. Other devices like the iPhone use VoltIQ.

Unlike the cheap chargers these have been approved and certified by Qualcomm/UL and need to meet certain criteria. Some of the criteria includes not melting during use ;)

If you're curious, this video will show you one getting manufactured in the factory.

      • Thanks. Just ordered one via PayPal. AU$10.52

Hopefully it won't take the stated 2-7 days processing + 30-40 business days to arrive using the free shipping option.

Although the longest I have had to wait for a package from China was exactly 1 month from day of purchase.

    • I can vouch for Tronsmart. I have one of their Qualcomm certified desktop chargers and it works like a charm. A cheap charger I had before had some sort of interference with my phone and tab screens, nothing of the like from my current tronsmart charger.

  • Personal experiance for me says Tronsmart is a rubbish brand.
I had this model to use with my Note 4, it lasted about 2 weeks before the QC stopped working altogether and the normal charge was glacially slow.

I bought a BlitzWolf and its been super reliable for the last 2 months.

    • Did you try contacting Tronsmart or Geekbuying?

The Blitzwolf chargers claim to be Qualcomm Certified, but aren't listed on Page 5 of Qualcomm's list and haven't produced any UL certifications.

      • how do you even know if QC is working? ive tried various charging apps and they never go higher than 1.5-1.8amps

        • Good question. I've heard conflicting reports that using apps won't work and some devices will say that its fast charging. Most reviewers on Amazon seem to be using physical devices to check. Have you noticed it charging quicker?

        • My LG G4 reports "Connected to Fast-Charger"; I've heard the Samsung Galaxy S6 reports similar.

        • @CLoSeR:
Never noticed my LG G4 doing this. Have it connected to a tronsmart 2 port (volt IQ and QC2) charger with the original cable.
Does it note this on the notifications bar when dragging down from the top?

        • +1

@albanyson: I was having slow charging issues with my original LG G4 charging cable and have since swapped it for one of the Tronsmart Gold Plated ones although using the cable from my Nexus 5 also was fine.

You could try changing the cable, also what OS you running on your G4?

Mine is Android 6.0 Software Version V20b-TWN-XX

        • @CLoSeR:
It just did new auto software update before the weekend….
          6.0
          Version V20c-TWN-XX
It changed a few things on layout, but otherwise not too much of change I noticed.
Apparently supposed to get better battery life, but at 55% screen brightness and auto, it doesn't last to long at all.
The cable I referred to was the supplied cable with the 2 port tronsmart car charger

        • +1

@albanyson: Users on forums are reporting that you'll see the "Fast Charging" notification after the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

        • +1

          @albanyson:

I found this screen capture (not mine), the first notification bar is what I see when connected to Qualcomm QC port, in my case i'm using the Tronsmart Qualcomm Certified 5 Port Desktop Charger.

          http://forums.androidcentral.com/attachments/lg-g4/207748d14…

          "Fast-Charging…(86%)"

        • @Clear:
          Ok, thanks.
Only updated just before weekend so probably just hadn't yet noticed it…..

        • @Clear:
          Just checked.

Doesn`t come up with that when plugged into the single port car charger
          I have model tronsmart ts-cc1q
          Input 12-24v dc 2a
          Output dc 5v/2a, 9v2a, 12v, 1.5a

I thought I bought a quick charge car charger……seems perhaps not.
Was from a previous deal on here.

          Order Number: #3456654

Been plugged into car for about 10 minutes, went from 12% to just now 15%.
I have been using it reply to this message in mean time.

        • @Clear:
Still not convinced the single port charger is fast charging……
          No response at all

        • @albanyson: You'll have to send an email to [email protected] and see what they say.

  • +3

Have been using the Tronsmart 2 port car charger and 4 port wall charger for many months now. Very quick to charge and absolutely nothing negative to say. Just don't forget to get some cables too

  • +1

Highly recommended charger. If you guys use GPS, say Tomtom, this should be a very good one as the GPS requires a quite large charging current. It is a bit large compared to 2 port or some other charger though!

  • +1

I had this model for around 3 months until I recently gave it to my mother in law. Had absolutely no problems, Quick Charge was super fast and Volt IQ ports were as they should be. Buying another now to replace the one I gave away.

  • If anyone wants to order more than 1, please make a second order.

    • Doesnt work. It still says "sorry, you can only buy one pcs" when you try to add to cart on your second order.

      • Alright thanks. I'll find out.

      • I've confirmed that it's one per account. Unfortunately I can't get this changed. This deal will probably happen again another time.

  • +1

    Just bought one, thanks Clear!

  • +2

This is a great little attachment for anyone with a Type C phone (eg Nexus 6p), that doesn't want to replace all their microUSB cables. It's a Xiaomi product and this is the cheapest($1.99USD/$2.90AUD) I've seen it on the web.

    http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Original-Xiaomi-Mi-USB-Type-C…

    • +4

      It's also spec compliant.

    • +2

      good find.. bought one..
the earlier adapter i bought from ebay was faulty and i got my money back and bought hoco cable..

As this is spec compliant, this deserves a separate listing..

  • Any chance of special deals on Xiaomi redmi note2 to go with the charger?

    • RedmiNote2Prime takes $10 off the Redmi Note 2 Prime and I can only get 5% off currently for the others with xiaomifans

  • +1

Though not listed in this post Im trying to establish if the Galaxy S5 SM-G900I model supports quickcharge 2.0 as well. Get conflicting reports from other forums. Does it depend on what cable you use?

    • +1

Qualcomm clarified on pg4 of their compatible device list. Only the Japanese version of the Galaxy S5 supports QC 2.0.

  • Hey. It must be my mistake, but I couldn't see an option for the coupon code at any point. I thought it was going to redirect me back to the site after I put in my PayPal details. Is it easy to cancel my order and redo it with the coupon code? It has taken the 19.99USD out already.

    • There was a spot to put the code in at the shopping cart. In the top right corner of geekbuying.com is a Live Chat link. Talk to them and they will cancel it.

  • Thanks I've been waiting for this deal.

Can you advise how this is compared to the other charger?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/233716

    • +2

This just has an extra port. That 3 port charger is newer and has a slightly different design.

  • -2

In the video the soldering iron was not 100% clean in the tip area [not good] and the test for voltage was over in about 1.5 seconds maybe.

A 1.5 or even 2 second test for correct voltage is really pushing it and proves nothing really.

    • +1

If you notice how the video cuts during the voltage test you'll see that it's not the same testing equipment. They're tested for longer than 2 seconds.

  • Be prepared to wait! Ordered another item from Geekbuying with shipping time of 2 - 7 days - still no shipping information 14 days later.

    • Shipping and processing times are different. Geekbuying was closed from around the 8th to 13th due to the Chinese New Year. Even the postal companies took a few days to a week off.

What was your shipping method and order number? I can get someone to check on it.

      • 2 - 7 days was the stated shipping time. Order number sent by pm.

  • Any 2 ports?

  • Do I have to register to utilise this deal?

    Or

Is it possible to check out as guest? Thanks

    • You'll have to register to use the coupon.

  • my mistake

  • Is shipping the usual 4-6 weeks? cause I bought one.

    • Not if you pay for TNT, 3-4 days. Snagged the discounted TNT shipping last time for the 5 Port desktop charger! Arrived so quick!!

  • Thanks and ordered one. Should be just in time for Easter.

  • Shipping stated at 30-40 business days

  • Ordered one, thx.

  • Will it work with the S4?

    • Samsung Galaxy S4 does not support QC 2.0.

      • Will still charge though? I have a S4 now and don't mind paying a little more than other 4 ports to have a future-proof good quality charger.

Also, do you have any deals on cables? Would like to get a few, the ones I have are either missing or loose.

        • Yeah it'll still charge the S4. I'll have a deal on the newer quality microUSB cables in my next deal that'll be later this week.

$8.99 US with the coupon 3USDCOUPON I've not seen any complaints about these ones so far.

        • @Clear:

I purchased these cables hoping they were an improvement on the previous silver Tronsmart micro USB cables. However, instead of redesigning the connector in response to the widespread issue of the nubs wearing away and becoming quickly unusable, they decided to release the exact same flawed design (apart from a superficial change to gold-coloured connectors). Consequently, the cables have already started to fail with less than a week of use.

Please do not advertise this product on OzBargain again as it is clearly not fit for its purpose.

        • @ComfortablyNumb: Thanks for letting me know. Can you please send me your order number so I can follow up on it?

        • @Clear:

Sure, the order number is 3602049.

          Cheers.

  • +1

Gotta be kidding me… Just ordered one last week for $17 =/

  • There is a bug to limit one per customer.
I selected to pay by paypal and decided not to then i cancelled it to return to the page.
My cart was empty, I tried to add one to the cart and it says limit one per person (was going to pay be credit card).

    How?

    • I've sent a message to someone and I'll let you know.

      • thanks. should i wait for it? or just sign up with another email?
I don't wanna see it out of stock.

        • Go ahead if you're able to sign up with another email. I'm not sure when I'll hear back.

  • I bought this a while back from you guys, it mentions that it supports Nexus 6P for quick charging but whenever I use it in the car the nexus only says "charging" and not rapid charging, do I have a faulty device?

    • +1

QC 2.0 is supported by the original Nexus 6, but not the 6P. For some reason the 6P has the QC chip inside, but it's disabled.

  • Got one, but at checkout it changed from $10.07 to $10.37

    • The $10.07 comes from the current exchange rate as I'm required to put AUD in the title. Using a credit card like 28 Degrees or Citibank Plus with no currency conversion fees will get you very close to that amount.

  • Can you confirm this QC 3.0 charger is genuine?
    http://m.geekbuying.com/item/Tronsmart-30W-2-Ports-Quick-Cha…
Sorry I asked because I bought one from eBay and it is a very close knockoff. The pictures of that charger from your website appear to be the real ones. I just wonder if those pictures are actually from the one you will ship, or you just use those pics from Tronsmart.
    Thank you.

    • Yeah that charger is genuine and I posted a deal for it last week. Geekbuying is the main supplier of Tronsmart products.

Is the knock off from eBay using Tronsmart branding? If it is, can you please PM it to me?
