    Wow posted at 12.01
You REALLY DO stay up on the nights of the Amaysim promotion changeover don't you EC? I kind of suspected but tonight I watched it happen. Wow that was fast! First a slammed-in rough page, as soon as the code drops and then more coherent revisions as you have time. Its all about being first over the line. How do you do it EC? Calendar plus alarm plus pre-filled submission page?
Nobody, but nobody beats EC's enter key!

Just be aware that it is very difficult to reach them on the phone when something goes wrong. Been trying for a couple days. Call and get the message that the phone queue is too long and get cut off. Score.

thats far from "amaysim" service… lolll

sounds no different to Vaya … had an issue took them 2 days to just reply by which time the issue had disappeared… joys of paying bugger all :)

    • +3

      Use on line chat.

    • Never needed to call them. They are very helpful on online chat.

  • For me the 7GB Plus one is the one to go for (300 international minutes… my favorite places to call isnt in the unlimited list.)

  • I might buy the $20 7GB subscription and then go to Aldi. I'm too used to the $10 for 3 months, $5-10 per month specials

28 day billing period. Really Amaysim??

Better deal from Kogan… Unlimited calls, 5gb data, $11 for "30" days. Or unlimited calls, 3gb data, $9 for "30" days.

    https://www.koganmobile.com.au/?gclid=CP-Xk7Ltm8wCFVWWvQod-P…

In b4 yeah but Kogan is on Voda, Amaysim is on Optus. I don't care, I won't use either of them. They are both rubbish.

Neg for cheaper elsewhere. Amaysim being shocking at customer service and because of their shonky 28 day billing cycles. People should send them a loud and clear message and not join just based on their 28 day billing crap…

    • -2

No its not cheap elsewhere. Where did you find cheaper amaysim plan? Do you neg all voda/telstra/optus deal cause they are on 28 days billing. Mate, you are using neg for poor reasons.

        http://boost.com.au/shop/40-unlimited-multi-pre-paid-sim-car… (50% off for about the next 5 days…)

Even this is a better deal. 1/2 price Boost (ie: $20). Telstra 4G network, "30" day expiry, 3gb + up to another 8gb using 2gb weekend data (11gb total) plus Unlimited talk and sms.

I neg deals that involve companies that try and make more money out of charging you a 13 month year. I also neg companies that I and many others have dealt with who have shocking customer service records. And sure, the deals I have posted are not better "Amaysim" deals, but they are for the same product type. It is access to a phone network for the sole purpose of making calls and consuming data. This sole purpose can be had at a much better price for the same and or better value for money price point.

And please, point me to any other pre-paid deal outside Amaysim that uses 28 day billing cycles and I will neg them as well. My greatest fear is that if consumers don’t send a message to Amaysim that they don’t like 13 month years, then all of the other providers will go the same way.

        • well the $20 boost deal expired almost a week before this amaysim 28-day deal. not any good value deals going on at the moment

    • FYI, Telstra is also 28 day for prepaid

      • +1

Amaysim is 28 billing days for prepaid AND postpaid.

We should all boycott business with shoddy practices like that…28 billing days means they'll bill you 13x in a year instead of 12x. So with this deal, they're essentially charging you half a month more instead of a full month more than you used to pay.

        • All except the Flexi and Pay As You Go options which are 30 days and 90 respectively.

      • Hence the reason I did not include a link to any of their deals. That, and the fact that they usually have nothing in the way of deals anyway.

  • I am trying to buy it using the code "SAVE50" but keep getting this message "Sorry, looks like the promo code you’ve entered isn't valid. Please check the code and try again"

    What do?

    • sav50

    • my bad. Code is SAV50 as silvelining mentioned

  • I have a question for people who port back and forth between companies for good sim deals like this.

I am currently with Amysim. I bought a boost sim (50% off deal) so I will port to boost for a month. I also want to buy a amaysim sim (for this 50% off deal), so I'll port back to amaysim after a month.

When buying a new amaysim, I'm asked to choose my mobile number option: "keep your current mobile number" or "pick a new mobile number". What should I pick?
    1. If I pick "pick a new mobile number" when I buy the sim, will i still have a chance to port my number when I go to activate the sim (in one month's time)?
    2. If I pick "keep your current mobile number" and enter my current number, will I still be able to port to boost tomorrow, then port back to amaysim in a month?

Note that right now I'm with amaysim. I'm expecting my boost sim to arrive in the mail tomorrow, so I'm going to port over to boost.

    • +1

do your step 2 on the last day of your amaysim service to port to boost for a month, and repeat the same step 2 from boost back to amaysim. before porting, always call the outgoing provider to ensure your personal details have been updated on the system for automatic porting out of office hours.

also check the expiry or auto activation date of your amaysim service that you're going to purchase again

  • Does the $10 referral credit go towards the next recharge?

    • -1

      Yes it can.

You can also use it towards international calls etc if you wish
