I was clicking around to activate the $2 woolworths sim I picked up on Ozbargain a month ago and noticed an S7 edge plan that is cheaper than the Virgin offer posted here the other day, thought I'd better share.

    Seems like good deal, but not much international calling makes me sad.
    if anyone has woolies sim card, could you please dial this no. 1300136491 or 1300136445 to see if it's works, I use this no. for re-routing international calls.

      • Thanks. I couldn't find it earlier. So with $10, I only get like 10 minutes of international calling if the rate is about $1 per minute? Am I interpreting this right?

        It's not a big deal because with my current Optus plan, I don't get any free minutes to the courtries I would wanna call anyway.

        • Including the Flagfall charges, you would probably end up with less than 10 minutes but yeah that is the gist of it.

  • Came across this whilst checking for reviews about Woolworths Mobile (http://www.productreview.com.au/p/woolworths-everyday-mobile…). It doesn't look very promising. I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade by posting this but I was going to cash in on this offer for my partner until I read the reviews and it has put me off. Can someone who is with woolworths mobile justify/substantiate the reviews listed on the site with your own experience please? Thanks.

    • Are you talking about any reviews in particular, or just the average score? to be honest 2.3/5 is not all that bad, hell Optus and Telsta rate lower on that same website. People are much more likely to voice a complaint rather than praise so I wouldn't be too put off by it.

  • Hey, I am curious what happened if I signup and cancel the plan. Do I still keep the phone? Cause the handset is free and I will probably get hit with the Early Termination Charges of $840. Does that mean I get the phone for $840?

    • I would be interested in knowing this also as it would be a great buy for the device alone. Also for those that are not happy with their service they can easily just terminate and still end up in front.

  • I got tracking 2hrs after ordering. Not bad. Although it has not been picked up by the courier yet. Here's hoping it is here by the weekend :D

          Mine has just been picked up and has been lodged at Brightstar Depot, praying for overnight. It could be here tomorrow :D
          Edit: apparently Startrack did pick it up early, but just slow to update. Mine was at their depot at 10AM this morning, but only just got the tracking update just then.
          Ugh buying phones online always makes me track the package like Hawk.

    • I was the same but figured I would give the edge a go, the extra battery life made the decision a bit easier
      I will be investing in a case tho

  • how long does porting the number take? Hopefully it will be initiated after the new set / sim has been recievd.. and what happens to the current telstra credit when the number is ported to woolworths mobile, does that get ported as well ??

      Expect to wait a few hours up to a day

      Your old service will be cancelled you only keep the number not credit or anything else

  • Oh no! Just missed Startrack delivery. Have to wait till this arvo to collect from Post Office. Awesome service though considering ordered Wednesday night and I live regional Queensland.

      I opted for mine to be delivered to the local Big W 5 minutes from my place. I wasn't going to be home until tomorrow so wanted to be able to pick it up Sunday.

    • My seal was broken. Box good otherwise which is surprising since no extra packaging, just original box in a satchel.

    I ordered a silver one last night about 630pm. I have the 'welcome aboard' and 'your payment has been applied' emails from WW - can I use these to register for the VR gear?

    • Mine was delivered with an invoice. You can start the claim and fill in the and invoice later if you have not got it yet

    How do I check if it has been applied?

    How do I use it? Just scan at the register and pay as e-gift card or something?

    • Did you received a nano SIM by default? I wonder if you can ask for a Micro Sim instead. Thinking of ordering this for my wife while I keep using my old phone

      Called just then they said it takes 5-7 business days yadda yadda, but dispatch email should be sent today or tomorrow. And should get the phone the next couple days or this week. Why did those who bought Wednesday got theirs by thurs/fri? Maybe a flood of last minute buys…

      He said Woolworths rewards will be applied when first bill is paid. I said I already prepaid the first bill, then he said yes but it'll be added when you pay the next bill… don't know if he knows for sure.

  • I just received my dispatch notice from WW this morning. It has a tracking number for the delivery but there's no proof of purchase or IMEI number etc. I filled out the Samsung GearVR form anyway and I have 7 days after I receive the phone to submit these details. I'll need to send in a photo of the IMEI number and also provide a copy of the contract to Samsung to complete the redemption.

  • Well my phone arrived yesterday and I've now activated the sim and have it up and running. These phones are stunning! I ordered the silver and the finish is just so nice. The edge screen is also really good. Happy!

  • Just a question. I got my phone yesterday and in the package i got the sealed phone in a box + a single A4 sheet of paper but no sim/sim in a box/ sim with activation info etc. Im guessing it's meant to all come together as that's what the document indicated. Can someone confirm and tell me what they received please. Surely they didnt toss in just a nano sim in lose and i havent seen it or it fell out. Thanks

  • Has anyone got their $100 rewards credit or Gear VR yet? I submitted the redemption on the 24th of June so I assume that's still being processed but I would have though the rewards credit would be instant.

    • VR application takes a long time (I got my gf's one approved a week or two ago, I lodged the thing in on 26th May, it's still not dispatched). Not sure about the giftcard stuff though.

        • Ironically, my gf's one arrived yesterday (they simply didn't updated the "approved" status to "dispatched"). Took around a month and a bit though.
