It's a relief that GG not included this time, thought I might have lost $500+ on new Tv.

Not so good that it seems like there are no bargains from these retailers.

    • Yeah screw everyone else, I don't want a sale going on for my own satisfaction. /s

  • +20

If people are unhappy with the store selection / prices maybe they should stop mindlessly up voting these ebay deals until they know the full story

    • That is what makes my head spin.

If the deal is no good, why has it got so many votes?

    • +2

Has someone that has +1'd the deal complained about the store selection? Most of the people commenting haven't voted.

      • +1

I revoked my vote after seeing how shit the selection is. Didn't neg it because that's just opening a can of worns around these parts…

        • And that there's no reason to neg it..

        • Protest vote if anything. Got my hopes up lol.

The dell 27" curved is going at its historical low again. SE2716H 27" Curved Monitor 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz 16:9

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Dell-Monitor-SE2716H-27-Curve…

Yes it is limiting in terms of resolution etc but for those after a branded monitor at $357.60 - managed 55 upvotes last time.

  • Hoping that Futu or Wireless1 put up a DJI Mavic Pro preorder listing. Keeping my fingers crossed.

    • No luck :(

      • Not yet. 6 days to go though so who knows! :)

  • FML… i just bought the D7000 from wireless1 last thursday… $279 when i bought it vs $248 now…

    • d7000 what? modem or camera? if it's a camera let me know LOL

      • LOL nah, shoulda said it was the netgear D7000 modem router

might bite the bullet on this gtx 1070, anyone suggests a different one?

price seems to have dropped based on sales history.

  • Looks liek the code is active.

"20% off with code C20TEC. Ends 10th Oct. T&Cs apply" is now popping up on Ebay

Not 4k, not the best refresh rate.

    3 left.

  • Hi guys, can anyone recommend me a good monitor around $200. I don't need it to be too big as I am currently happy with 22".

Smartphone prices are ridiculous. This is BS eBay sale. Not interested thanks.

    • Just went for an Oppo F1s from Wireless1. Sure, their eBay price is $24 higher than their own online store and $11 more than retail at JB, but the $71 saving still reduces well below best price anywhere.

  • Code doesn't seem to be working yet.

Got this - "We removed any vouchers you already applied. You can try using them on a future purchase."

    • Just realised that PCCG was taken off the list, guess will have to get stuff from Futu instead then.

  • Thanks op, bought iPhone 6s 32g from ausluck.

    • +1

I feel sorry. I hope you don't feel too bad when you look at the prices of other stores

      • Yes, apple selling $929 while they selling $979 x 20% and claim GST when I go overseas next month. So $690 around.

        • Still a rip off

        • others Australian store should be able to provide you an GST invoice as well so the cheaper the better

  • +1

None of these lenses are cheap. Disappointed.

    • The 2 lenses I got from shopping square have both gone up 60 dollars or more since the last 20% off.

Code works at pc.byte.storage, which had the 6TB WD NAS drive for $399 compared to the same drive for $425 at pc.byte

    • Worked a charm. Thanks.

    • well, went to buy another WD 6TB drive at pc.byte.storage, and lo' and behold they've put the price up to $419.
      Very disappointing!

  • +1

So last night I was eyeing off a portable HDD, checked it about 30 mins ago, no price hike, checked now, doesn't even show up in the search results but I can still get to the page via Chrome history?! There was also a Hero 4 Black Music Edition (whatever that is) on there about 20 mins ago which is now gone.

    This is so shady.

  • dodgy sony

put the rx100 mk3 in my cart yesterday and was still viewable before this event went live

    now its gone

    • Teds have it for $999.95. still showing more than 10 available.

    • yeah was only 2 available and sold within the minute

  • +1

Disappointed. None of the stores I was looking at are included and the items i was looking at are overpriced at participating stores.

  • Couldn't we collectively contact eBay or do something to avoid having a select number of retailers increasing their prices during this promotion. Clearly there is something dodgy going on here.

    • What for?

eBay gave them ample time to do it.
If not, the participating retailers will bitch about it just like the time when they had to call off the sale after just a few hours online.

It's not coincidental that they are all doing it.

    • Lol I'm guessing ebay contacted these retailers beforehand.

      • That's some good detective work Lou.

    • +7

Mate, eBay is in on it.

  • +2

The selection and pricing of the available phones is absolutely hopeless in this sale.

  • Sony B@stard beat me to an epic camera deal by about 1-2 seconds. I clicked buy at 10:00 and missed out. Sold to said lucky B@stard at 10:00:11

    • A7Rii?

      • Yep. Was it you?

        • It was, saw there were 4 other people watching it, so was refreshing constantly haha

        • @dblight:

          Lucky you.

Wondering, how much is it after discount?

        • Ah well, enjoy. Good refresh skills, you must have clicked buy literally 1-2 seconds max before me.

I guess I can console myself with the A7s II I got from Dick Smith last time during the 20% off sale

        • @icecream: About $2500 - it is a Second though, so conditional remains yet to be seen.

        • @icecream: It was about $2500, which is a ridiculous price

        • @dblight:

I'm sure it will be fine, I got a RX100M3 from graysonline which was refurbished/seconds. Was brand new.

        • @dblight: holy crap that's cheap

      • @dblight:

Any chance you want to swap for a A7s Mark II? The A7s sells for a bit more

        • Tempting, but I need the resolution sorry!

    • Still have the listing?

  • Damn, thought I could get a Dell P2715Q cheaper than the last 15% sale ($610 @ Warehouse1). Only Futu has it and is $710 after code.

  • Was hoping to get a decent deal on a Radeon RX 480 but cant seem to see any meaningful discount. What a fizzer!!!!!!

  • Any good deals on Home CCTV systems or seperate cameras?

  • +1

Many items removed or marked up, what is the point.

Found an Asus Z170-AR for $239 on PC.Byte.Systems that may have missed the price-hike ($191.2 after voucher):
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/322274284064?_trksid=p2060353.m27…

Seemingly same model on PC.Byte with price-hike at $259:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-Z170-AR-Intel-Skylake-HDMI-M…

Looks like this is all I'll get from my wishlist.

    • Seen any good deals on Skylake CPU's?

    • How would you say that Asus Mobo compares to the MSI Z170A SLI Plus? Kinda on the fence between the two but with this deal the Asus one will be almost $35 cheaper than the MSI at its cheapest.

      • Honestly I'm being a bit lazy with this build and just trusting the Whirlpool.net.au build guides: http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/rmp_sg_whirlpoolpcs_gaming_conf…

I think the AR was recommended for overclocking with the i7-6700k. There could be greater reasoning behind the choice.

From a quick search they seem almost identical, except the MSI has on-board GPU:
        http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/comparison-versus/3639/3602/msi…

        • Fair enough, both seem pretty much the same give or take a couple of things. The all black design on the MSI looks really good imo though (for a primarily black build with white accents), however picking up the Asus for $190 odd seems to be a good deal compared to the MSI at ~$225 with the 10% off code. I think the bios on the Asus is far superior as well but not 100% sure.

Would you go with the Asus?

        • @Elkman:

Aesthetics weren't really a factor for me, no clear panels or LED lighting on my case to see it. I went with the Asus, but like I said it was blind trust more than any personal research. The Asus Z170 series seems fairly popular at least.

        • Thanks for the advice mate. Just ordered the Asus Z170-AR as well.

    • if you're looking for RAM here's one that didn't seem to get price hiked:

Corsair Vengeance LPX Series 32GB DDR4 2400MHz Desktop RAM Memory

      $219.95 vs $259

      • Thanks. Not quite the frequency I'm looking for, but I appreciate the thought. Not sure what the latency is on the $219 set, but the $259 set is a C16 rather than a C15 (lower is better).

        If you spot a 16GB C15 set (2 x 8GB) for less than $115 I'm in :)

  • Boring sale nothing to excite……….was looking for apple watch series 2 nope…

  • Trying to find an apple tv 32gb. can't find any in this sale… any ideas?

  • +2

Was going to buy an iPad Air + 4G but Ausluck inflated the prices :/

    • yep apple watch buy now $499 and in details of item $449 :)

  • Do any of these retailers have ereaders? Looking for that 7 inch Kobo but would settle for anything really.

  • +5

Needed to buy a 120mm fan, cheapest was Aerocool Green: $30-discount = $24.
Checked on MSY and it was $12!
Yes that's a sale price of double.

  • Just bought the Asus DSL-AC68U for $268 with express delivery. Thanks Ozbargain, couldn't come at a better time since my area will be NBN activated this week :D

      Google it you lazy b@stard.

    • I'd personally go evga because of the warranty alone.

      • -1

Only if you import them, for local product it should be fine, also the shipping cost for EVGA back to Taiwan are not cheap.

        • My gigabyte card will tell you otherwise

    • I got the MSI gaming x this morning for 600

  • junkbay

  • Someone convince me to buy X34 at $1460 and not wait for X34P

    • +1

These sales will still be going when it's out, that's what I keep telling myself.

    • Don't do it mate - You will have regrets in the not too distant future.

Also if you're planning on gaming on it, I hope you've got SLI 1080's for a steady 60 fps ;)

I ended up with the ASUS Rog Swift PG279Q 165Hz - utterly glorious!

Will be considering an X34P in the future though :D

  • +19

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't jacking prices before a sale explicitly illegal? You can't advertise something as 20% off when it hasn't sold at that price in the last 90 days. We should really start some kind of Google doc and all contribute to it and send it off to the ACCC or ombudsman. This sh!t is a joke.

    • -6

I think you might be referring to stating a saving based on an RRP or previous price. In this case, they aren't, they are just providing 20% off the currently marked price. It is a retailer's prerogative to set pricing to whatever level they like, and the market will then determine how well it sells.

A better option is to speak with your wallet. If you don't buy and the sales are a flop, then there will be an incentive for them to address the issue.

    • The advertised price listed isn't actually 20% off. You need a coupon code to redeem the 20% discount so ACCC can't do shit as it's well in their rights. It's a coupon, not an advertised sale.
