  • applied approved needed to send in recent payslips emailed through received text that card was on the way no calls required ?

    • card receives todag nees to go into bank to activate verify id

  • +1

If you send in your payslips and don't get a confirmation email it hasn't gone through. Had to resend a couple of times before it was acknowledged. The alternative was to fax them in…I don't even know where I'd find a fax these days.

Either way all sorted, new card after like a decade of just a basic CBA card.

Just need to set an alarm in the lead up to the 1 year and im good to go.

  • anyone know when this expires?

  • What do I need to do?
To finalise your application, just send us either:
    Two most recent payslips;
Your payslip showing three or more months' worth of year-to-date figures.

We will also need proof of your additional income. You can send us either:
a copy of tenancy lease agreement or rental statement from Real Estate Agent or
    interest income or dividend statement

It didn't ask how i earnt my additional income - selling on my eBay Store.

So how can i provide this info to them?

    • invoices? paypal statements? something like that

    • +1

Same documentation you provide to the ATO ?

IME it's best not to mention additional income sources at all unless you need it to get over the minimum income line. Just a hassle to prove.

  • I just tried to apply and rejected. 100k/y, 100k assests. Have tried 3 times now letting it set its own credit limit.
    Am I now screwed?

    • +1

      prob beat to stop trying

    • Agree…stop applying… not only for this card but also for any other credit in the next few months. Unless your credit score has been really high (>800 or so) before these 3 applications (I'm assuming they have pulled your credit data each time), you risk reducing the score to "average" our lower.

      • I got my credit score and it was 820, not sure what applying will do to it. I really want the QFF points and the lounge pass! Heading off on jetstar soon and wanted to make the most of the lounge in brisbane.

Is there a way to call and speak to someone and get them to authorise it over the phone? or does it have to be online?

        • Not really sure if it works to call… but 1800 076 113 is the number (from their email that asked for payslips). Their pretty slow though (haven't received the physical card yet; approved 07 Dec)

          Hmm, that is weird indeed.
My veda score is less than 600 because I applied for maybe 7 cards in the last 18 months. I even had the same ANZ card and cancelled it about 12.5 months ago after collecting bonus points.
Income and assets are similar to yours.

I really expected them to reject it, yet they approved within a day and I received the cards today.

        • @MrTweek:
So would you say they didn't check on Veda and only on Experian in your case?

If so, this is tempting to apply for as my experian score is much higher for some reason and my last applications all seem to have gone through Veda, so I wanted to give that credit file a break for a while…

        • @apric101:
They did check Veda, but approved it anyway.

  • All this credit score stuff is pretty funny. The enquiry from this credit application dropped my credit savy/Experian score by 80.

    • This application is not the culprit for those lost points. You probably have applied for credit just a short while (e.g. up to 1 month) ago. The drop in points exponentially go higher as you apply within a short period, e.g. first application after a year of inactivity: 12 points, 2nd application (just a week after the previous one): 32 points, 3rd application: 90 points and so on… Source: experience

      • Makes sense but nope: no other activities or applications for credit in over 12. Was just the one.

Not too worried just seems like an odd drop.

  • I applied on 1/12/16. Submitted evidence of income on Friday 2/12/16. Rang today and was told application was approved on 6/12/16. Happy days.

  • Applied on 30/11, received the cards yesterday and got them activated today! Easy to hit the 2.5k with the holiday season, car insurance etc coming up!

  • Just got my cards and confirmed over the phone that I am indeed eligible for the 75k QFF points and waived annual fee. The lady said that it was because I had no prior accts with ANZ. Persons name has been noted!

    • I confirmed the eligibility over the phone so long it was not an upgrade (must be new account) and did not hold anz freq flyer credit card holder in the last 12 months.

      • what number did you call for this? Feel free to PM me if it makes a difference

        • I just called the main enquiry line
13 13 14 and asked for a conversation log no for proof. During the verification of information with credit card assessment area, i also double confirmed with the guy.

Got my cards today. Good luck guys.

      • "new account": If I have a transaction/saving account will that cause problem? I also ticked the box for "Are you an existing customer?"

        • Imo, should be ok. I hold a normal ANZ Platinum credit card.

Just have to vent that I'm pretty surprised at how bad anz internet banking and apps are.

I would have thought in today's day and age this was one area where all the banks would have been at a certain level, but nope.

    • What is bad about it compared to their competitors? I have accounts with all the big four and I find it strange that for Westpac there is still no Touch ID and the password I have to enter can only be 6 alpha numeric long. With CBA I find it frustrating to be sent a security SMS which pops up as a notification on my iPhone 7+ at the top and because of the additional text the message contains I have to click in the message to see the six digit code, then go back to the app to input it.

Personally I thought that the ANZ app was quite mature and in order of usability I would rank the best to worst as: NAB, ANZ, CBA then WBC.

      • +2

Nab is easily the worst. It breaks from time to time. CBA is miles ahead comparing to the other three

        • How does the NAB app break? It has been pretty reliable for me so far.

        • @danielh: It was on the news a couple of months back. I was not working this morning as well. It made to the news again.https://www.bing.com/news/search?q=nab+app+not+woeking&FORM=HDRSC4

      • Westpac's Android app is pretty good these days, supports fingerprint auth, paypass, cardless ATM withdrawal. ANZ goMoney AU on Android is easily worse than Westpac, 4 digit pin to get in, separate app for paypass, plenty of loading popus.

I got my 75,000 bonus points on my third statement a few days, after reaching the spend just into the second statement period.

  • How long is this offer valid until?

  • Good timing for this deal, just cancelled my St George CC after getting the 30k points from there.

  • Would be good if there was a way to check if your eligible - I cant remember when I cancelled my last ANZ FF card!

  • Merged from How Do I Know if I'm Eligible for 75,000 Bonus Points from ANZ AmEx Card Sign up?

Hi, I signed up online for the Anz FF Black card to get 75,000 bonus FF points if I spent $2,500 on eligible purchases in 3 months. It's my first time getting it so I'm a new account holder. However I got my welcome pack today and there was no mention of the bonus 75,000 points. How do I confirm if I will get the bonus points? Is there a way to tell or do I need to call them?

    • I would send them a 'bankmail' so you have it in writing.

  • +1

Does anyone know if my VEDA score is affected if they request for pay slips and I don't respond because I decide to not proceed with the application?

  • Hi everyone, I applied for this card on Sunday (29/01) and submitted my payslips on Monday, how long does the approval process take? I have not received any info except the "upload your documents" email on Sunday. Cheers!

  • +1

    Got my 75k points today!

    • Hi when did you apply the card? How long did it take from the day you spent 2.5k to the day you got the points?

      • +1

        Applied in December.

Spend to points was around 2 weeks.

  • Could someone confirm whether this deal is ongoing and when it expires?

    • It is currently active, so I guess you could say it's ongoing.

I have no idea when it expires. I was trying to find this information too. However, this deal does come up quite often. Look up "ANZ Black" in the Ozbargain search and then filter for "Type: Deals".

  • If I apply the card now and assume I received the card in the next 2 weeks and I immediately spend $2500 right away, when would I receive 75k QFF points? I am looking to book a reward flight in the next few month. T&C says "The bonus Reward Points will be credited to your ANZ account within two months of the eligible spend criteria being met", but realistically, how long actually does it take to credit the points? Anyone already receive the points?

    • Anyone already receive the points?

One month on and I'm still waiting

  • EDIT: Removed

  • How to link my frequent flyer number to this card.

    • On the application

  • This card now offering a bonus 75 Status credits with the booking of a qantas flight
