This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

                      @sween64: The trick is: when you are stuck at the “the real bug step”, unplug the USB cable and then plug it back immediately. Then the phone will reboot itself with checkra1n running.

                      This is my only solution for 5s. Just keep trying again, or use another USB port, another USB cable, plug in the power adapter, etc.

        A novice question pls, if I buy iphone 5s, would it work with ifake location without any jailbreak needed? There is a guy here who has been helping me lock my petrol but since I will be back to work I don't want to abuse him/her doing a weekly task for me.

          There's nothing here to suggest that it wouldn't work. I can test it for you on the weekend if you like (PM me).

          The only thing to note is that for the iphone 5S iOS 12.4.9 is the latest iOS and I believe the only one to be signed (check ipsw me) and I'm not sure if checkra1n works on iOS 12.4.9.

          If you do decide to jailbreak, I've just been through it and you'll need to use checkra1n v 0.10.1 and unplug the USB at a certain step (watch this video).

                @sween64: I managed to get my hands on an old iPhone 5s with shattered screen but still works.

                I will follow the steps mentioned here and if I face any trouble, will be back for questions.

      I've always been a big tinkerer of devices. Have been jailbreaking iPhones since the first one and also rooting and installing custom ROMs and Kernels on Android phones since the Galaxy S2 so I would say I'm fairly confident with messing around with mobile devices.

      In having said all that, I completely agree with andylch and you should get a cheap iPhone instead. iFakeLocation or 3uTools just works on a completely stock iPhone so you don't even need to do any jailbreaking or tinkering.

      I've also got an Android phone setup for fuel locks and the entire process is very tedious. As mentioned by other posters, the Safetynet check fails constantly requiring you to reboot the phone, log out/in of 7-eleven, check/uncheck Magisk hide, etc. Just get yourself a cheap iPhone for less headaches.

        I went out and bought a 5s and using 3utools as I did when I had a 8.
        Got it for $85. There was a few cheaper but this one is in great condition. I've already saved $20. So glad to be able to lock in again.

        If I jailbreak will it allow me to lock in away from my laptop?

          Yes. Jailbreak + Liberty Lite Beta (to prevent jailbreak detection by apps including 7-Eleven) + Relocate by Nepeta (to fake your location).

                @whey4000: Doubt it. App might be upgraded to require iOS 13 next year and 5S won't be updated to use iOS 13.

                  I am kicking myself that I didn't keep my Iphone 8 when I got the S20 though.

              @digitalbath: Checkra1n is great, mainly because it’s a hardware exploit so it should work on the device despite any iOS updates.

              I used it as my main on an iPhone 7 Plus and unfortunately it would reboot once a fortnight so I would have to re-jailbreak.

              I’ve currently got it on an iPhone 5S and it’s perfect as a fuel lock device. Even the battery life isn’t too bad.

    Anyone have issues checking their card balance on the website?

      Cards don't have a balance anymore.
      As far as I'm aware they got rid of that function.

    Getting the following error when trying to open ifakelocation on my mac with big sur and iOS 14.2. Feeling pretty terrible for not being able to get this to work like everyone else.

    A fatal error occurred, the required library libhostfxr.dylib could not be found.
    If this is a self-contained application, that library should exist in [/Volumes/iFakeLocation/iFakeLocation.app/bin/].
    If this is a framework-dependent application, install the runtime in the default location [/usr/local/share/dotnet] or use the DOTNET_ROOT environment variable to specify the runtime location.

      If I just double click the app from the desktop nothing happens at all but when I unpack the contents and open the executable the above error appears in the terminal.

          Yep im an idiot and i didn't do that. So now I did that and i am getting the unable to mount developer image. I have downloaded the 14.2 image folder into a separate folder titled DeveloperImage but the message persists.

      Is your default browser set to something other than Safari?

      Change it back to Safari and log in.

              @FishVille: It'll be a safari adblocker or something similar.

              to temporarily turn it off;
              in the 7eleven app, on the credentials entry page, auth.7eleven.com.au - tap the AA text resize button top right, (next to refresh)
              drop down includes "Turn off Content Blockers". select and sign in. done.
              This is once only turn off, every time you want to sign in you'll need to select this.

              raises the question, what is the blocker blocking that 7eleven want??

                Unfortunately it doesn’t work for me😢

                The first time I launched the app, I’ll be able to click sign in without issues. But once I log off, I’ll need to wait between 30-50s before I’m allow to hit the sign in button again… it’s either the new app is making hard for people to do multiple sign in within a short period of time or my device has been black listed by the server…

      Go to settings -> contact us -> fuel price lock and fill in the details.

                @specks: You can even store the barcode somewhere else (like a screenshot or StoCard app) and it will work but some attendants might give you grief.

          You don't show them the locked price only the barcode that's linked to your account. It's not like it use to be with the previous version.

    Hi all, need some help here on iFakeLocation + iOS please.

    I've done the following:
    1) Installed .NET Core 2.2 on my Mac running macOS 10.12 "Sierra"
    2) Downloaded and ran v1.5.0 iFakeLocation
    3) Connected iPhone (w/o SIM) to the Mac
    3) Device name detected successfully on iFakeLocation as iPhone 6sPlus; iOS 12.4
    4) Searched location (Eagleby, QLD) and Set Fake Location
    5) Both iPhone location and 7-Eleven fuel search still shows my original location in VIC

    Any idea what I may have missed or done wrong?

        I did this as per instruction "Open the DMG and drag the application to the Desktop or Applications folder. Double-click to run the app.". Is this what you were referring to?

      Any iPhone 5S should work with iFakeLocation. Any iPhone 5S can be jailbroken but it can be tricky.

    Anyone know if Yes. Liberty Lite Beta and Relocate works in iOS 14.2 and up?

    Currently running iOS 13 but want to update to 14 but not sure if above required tweaks are support to make 7/11 work.

      Not sure. I assume you have an iPhone 6S, 6S Plus or SE 1st Gen, right? And if you do upgrade to iOS 14 it looks like you’ll have to jailbreak using checkra1n.

      You could have a look at this thread on reddit. There’s heaps of comments and a couple of links to pastebin and a Google spreadsheet (the spreadsheet is usually the best place) of heaps of tweaks and their status.

      If you’re still currently jailbroken you could also install TweakReviewsDB which adds compatibility status and reviews in Cydia. It defaults to your installed iOS but you can also look at reviews for other iOSs.

          3utools works without a jailbreak. I’m not sure if 3utools works for iOS 14 but it should. iFL is just easier.

    Is this normal behaviour - when I spoof location, the preview has no price and also after locking in there's no price, I've read through the last ~3 months and I don't think I've seen this problem pop up for other people, i'm running android with magisk + smali patcher + gpsjoystick, was working fine maybe a week or two ago and I don't think i've changed anything https://i.imgur.com/dur6ZrE.png

    ios + ifake been working fine but today when I tried ifake comes up with "Unable to retrieve connected devices. Ensure iTunes is installed and can detect your device(s)." First time ever seeing this error, been working fine past couple months not sure what the problem is.

      Help:
      Q: My device doesn't show up on the list?
      A: Ensure that it is plugged in, you have trusted your PC and that the device is visible on iTunes.

      Reboot your computer and try again. Maybe iTunes has updated and broken something…

    Do I have to find an iPhone that isn't on the latest iOS ?
