This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

Example:

  • Richlands QLD
  • ULP
  • 111.9/litre

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

Master131 spends a lot of time creating and maintaining the script at Project Zero Three that we all know and love.

            @sween64: If they ask you to scroll, scroll a bit in a way that it doesn't reveal the price. I have my thumb on the screen before presenting the phone to show it can scroll a bit.

              @cute as duck: Don't think it matters too much, the discount shows on the register so if you get a curious attendant they will ask questions either way.

      I've use my vouchers in about 5-6 different 7/11 servos in Victoria and not once have I been asked any questions.

      They get paid the same margin per litre from head office whatever the price.
      Sounds like the guy/girl was just being a dick with false bravado.
      If you are in Victoria it is quite possible that you went past Hoppers Crossing and locked in
      You can happily abuse them back if you are comfortable or report the bastard.

        There's a post somewhere in here confirming it by someone who works for 7-11 HQ.
        He even encouraged to complain about it if it ever happens.

          And it was confirmed to me when I called 7-11 to complain previously. I asked about the lower fuel price being locked in and was told "regardless of price, they only make about 1-2 cents per litre of fuel they sell. The money for them is in the items inside the service station itself"

        Yeah, the lass at our local gets genuinely excited by the amount we save. I thought when we saved $15 last month she was going to jump the counter and hug me.

        I'd ask for my phone back so i can video you saying that. Or give them a slurpee straw and say you'd like to return the fuel.

        Just so you know 794 users get a notification by commenting here. If we done some cals, this would waste almost 400 minutes. Be very careful when you’re commenting on threads like this. That’s why we have 84 pages. Wish we could bulk delete most of the comments.

    Been using Nox for the last few months and did the updated Android 9 update and was going well until tonight. Logged in fine via Nox, location works fine, selected the amount I need and click lock it in - and I get moved back to the "Find my best local price" screen. I wonder if this account of mine is about to be flagged soon.

      That happens to me at least once a month. I usually just use my other account to lock or I wait a day and it magically fixes itself.

        Its because there's a limit of 2 locks per 24 hours (per device).

      If you use the python script you don't need the modded apk.

    Thanks for all the hard work you've put in to this Freighter. I'm trying to run your 7-eleven python repo atm but run into "Oops, error: We’ve updated the app to make it better and more reliable for you…" at the login page. Has 7-eleven updated their API url? If so do you know the new one?

                    @lawyerz: The settings file is in the python script not in the apk. See the instructions above from freighter re modifying the apk.

      As a side note, it seems the app has a bug in this version where after you dismiss the how-to cards on initial load, the normal UI still appears dimmed and disabled. Had to close and reopen the app and then it was fine. Happened to me on the stock version as well.

      Thanks Master131. I have previously only been using NOX however thought I would give this a shot so I can lock in away from my PC/Laptop. Installed with no issues and worked with Mocklocation not a problem.

      Hi master 131, can you write up a guide for newbies like myself in installing these files? Are these for phone or computer? Thankyou, I just started trying the FakeGps but got a message in 711 app saying I'm using a mock GPS lol.

        I will get you started.

        IOS = Need to be jailbroken
        Andriod = Scroll all the way up, to the top of the page. This should get you started.
        PC = Nox / Bluestacks is your friend.
