Use Woolworths 5% off vouchers and make a 27c profit, even if you don't want the bread and give it to a homeless person that needs food.

    • I'll have your bread if you don't want it.

    • +6

      Wow nice!!

      How many can you redeem? Imagine $0.27 x 1million = $270k

Time for nearly a sydney house property

EDIT: dammm "Limit of one claim per person"

      • +4

Limit of one Sydney house per person?

        • What if I have a million houses? :P

        • Dang, I needed 2 Sydney houses…

      • +1

        Or a smashed avocado

  • +6

Helgas bread is usually $3.50 at Woolworths (every day low price). So get free bread and make a profit! Unless for some reason this new type is more expensive than the other standard Helgas…

    • Probably more expensive and the promo is there to entice people to try it.

    • +3

Nope just bought it, still $3.50!!

    • The grain and seed version is more I thought

  • +8

Some of the more important conditions (abbreviated):
    - Open to NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA, TAS and NT residents (sorry WA)
    - Offer will be available on purchases made between 13th September 2017 and 26th September 2017
    - Can redeem the Offer any time between 13th September 2017 and 11.59 pm AEDT on 10th October 2017
    - Will receive as ‘cash back’ $5.40, regardless of the amount spent in store
    - Bread must be "specially marked"
    - Only one (1) claim is permitted per Eligible Claimant (so not restricted to one per household)

    • +1

Oh why the hate for WA…

Thanks for pointing it out though, I probably would have skimmed right over it, not something I would have expected excluding one state on an offer like this.

  • +1

How do they know if you've purchased a specially marked product or not? Is there a code on the label?

    • Looks like special ones. That say "TRY FOR FREE"

      • +4

I meant how does the system check whether you bought a specially marked pack or not if all they ask is a copy of your receipt

  • Can't see this product on Woolies' or Coles' website yet. Wonder if it's actually available in the shop

    • Coles

Doesn't seem valid there, according to the OP's description.

      • Didn't read properly. Kinda just assumed that Coles would be on the list if Woolies is.

        • +2

          That's why I pick Woolies.

        • That's why I pick scabs!

        • Yep, seems like a weird choice to include all the smaller supermarkets but exclude Coles.

        • @Scab: I pick Coles for their Coke No Sugar :)

        • @tomsco:
Looks like Coles do not stock the new product, only the retailers mentioned above.

  • I don't see this range on the Woolies catalogue. There is the Lower Carb range which are $5.40ea as well normal price.

    • The seeds are the lower card bread, more seeds, less bread

  • Is the bread helgas?

  • Hey man where is Coles?

One per person" easy use diff name and different card each time you claim works like wonders since it's a direct bank deposit.

    • won't 'the system' pick up if your name doesn't match your name on your card?

      • +5

Fun fact. There is no 'electronic' way for a bank to be able to confirm that the name you provide, matches the account name. So every time you need to enter your name and card number for online purchases, you can put any name you want. The 'system' ignores it.
The only proviso is if a bank/merchant decides to call your bank for confirmation (not going to happen for small transactions).

    • Going "Down, down"

  • +1

    A very overpriced bread

    • +4

      It's not just bread, it's Helga's.

  • Damn! Too bad not for WA.

    • Well, if the WA pollies have there way, you can become an independent state and have your own rules. :D

    • +1

WA misses out again! As a solace, at least there is no GST on bread…

    • REDEEM: Once your receipt has been verified (this could take up to 48 hours) follow the prompts to provide your bank or PayPal details. If approved, the funds of $5.40 will be deposited into your account within 7 working days.

Is a WA address relevant if they are going to deposit funds?

      • Probably not, but the receipt would have to have a non-WA address.

    • I checked out 2 Woolies and a Coles in Perth metro and none seem to have stocked 10 seeds, so may be why we're excluded from this offer..

  • Is the Max. cashback limited to the price that you pay?

  • +1

Register in advance, and they will show you the eligible barcodes too.

  • +1

    Nutrition information includes:-
Helga’s 10 Grain and Seed Classic White Square Loaf - sugars 2.8g per 100g
    Helga’s 10 Grain and Seed Wholemeal - sugars 27g per 100g (not a misprint, 27% sugar)

    • Shocking

    • +1

That is a misprint, should be 2.7g…
      (double post)

      • My soucre is the label on several loaves. What is yours plse?

        • +3

          Helga's site.. math, sense

        • +3

          @zwolf: sucrosé bleu ! I wanted the wholemeal :((

    • Sweet…. with 27% sugar content it would suggest that Nutella is pre-applied to each bread slice!!

    • Mine shows 27g as well. If it's not a misprint, how's that possible considering Arnott's biscuits have only 25g of sugar?

  • Has anybody actually been able to find this in the shops?

    • Yep, got it yesterday from Woolworths.

    • Yep just got the marked pack now.

    • Couldn't see any in my local Woolies

      • +1

At my local, for whatever reason they had a waist height cardboard shelf display, well away from the bread section, that had the cashback loaf and others on it.

  • +7

Paid $3.50 at Woolies (on an eGiftcard acquired with 5% discount), getting $5.40 'cashback'.

At that return I'm not going to waste any more time going to Star City Casino!

  • +3

bought a loaf from IGA yesterday, $3.29.
    Profit!!!

    • just checked my local IGA catalogue and 10 seeds Helga's bread is $3.49

      • +1

I guess my IGA is cheaper than yours, lol…
I checked just to make sure I'm not delusional.
Nope, definitely $3.29 for the loaf.

        • 2 x $2.49 a loaf at IGA; staff stuff-up as bread didn't scan and I didn't want to correct them.

      • Only $3.29 at supa iga in nsw

  • +1

Bought two over the last two days from my local Woolies, both marked packets.

  • +1

Have people made multiple claims and if so, how?

    • +2

Have you read the terms and conditions? One claim per person. Or do you mean how many people have helped family members who have their own phone number to make a claim?

    • +3

Click the link. Follow the directions.

Oh multiple claims. Use a different name/email/bank account.

    • I'm currently in an argument with them that two marked packs purchased on one receipt should be able to be claimed by 2 different people… they say no but I can't see where the terms exclude that type of claim.

      • +1

        Uphill battle that one.

        • But where do the terms exclude that? Usually these types of offers say 1 claim per household or something.

        • +1

          @slugsandsnails:
          Right here:
          12. Promoter’s rights: The Promoter reserves the right to:
          (a) disallow claims in its absolute discretion;

        • +1

@Orionn: must have put forward a convincing argument :) got it honoured.

    • +1

Should have clarified - Same household and bank account, but two people making separate claims. How would they define as "one person"? By Bank Account, phone number?

      The T&C's only state;

Only one (1) claim is permitted per Eligible Claimant.

      …which I read as a little vague.

  • +1

Looks like paypal is not an option anymore

  • Ok so the cashback process final step involves providing your name and account details. What I don't understand and not comfortable with is why do they need my DOB?

    • From the terms:
"Under 18? If you are under 18 years old at the time of entering, you must obtain the prior permission and consent of your legal parent or guardian. "

      • I emailed them and they said something along the lines of using it to better know their customers.

    • I put a false date of birth, I assume its just for marketing to see what age groups are buying or claiming. No biggy, just put the generic 1.1.1900.

  • +1

    Cheers OP :)

  • -3

The cashback website looks like a scam website…plus when you whois the portal, it registered in Arizona US… correction: it is a protected registrant
Perhaps I just overthink this and just giveaway my details to be in the marketing list and get that $5.40…

  • +3

Well that was pretty easy, scan the receipt, upload, put in you bank details, done, more or less.

The money was deposited the next day.

  • +1

Well that was fast, just received $5.40 in my bank account, although my receipt shows I paid $3.50. not only did I get bread for free but made $1.90. thanks ccchips2036

    • Enjoy the free bread and the mulla!!

  • +2

Yep, got my cashback too. Hooray for free bread!

    Thanks!

  • +2

Bread for people who are short on dough

  • Thanks, just got cashback in my account

  • Link takes me to "hi there" with nothing else :\

    • The form is still there for me, @18.

    • Try refreshing, I checked the site out again today and it's all in working order

      • Yep, I emailed support and they said they had server errors. Should be working again :)

  • All other cashbacks received the next day, one even the same day. Waiting for the last one for 3 days now, hopefully no issue. Maybe just taking a little longer towards the end of the promo..

    • -2

      cough

      Limit one per person

      and not even an upvote…

      • err mate.. ever heard of a household.. obviously I didn't claim them all under my own name..

as for the vote.. I already knew about this promotion, I was just making a comment about the redemption..

  • could one of you guys please send me a copy of a valid receipt from this promotion? I bought from IGA but had my claim knocked back and they want me to resend but i threw my receipt away. Thank you
