Should be fine in that regard.

  • +1

Has this deal been confirmed working yet?

    • Not as far as I've heard…

  • Well I signed up, now am worried with all the comments on how no one can reach them.

Wonder if they will action the ones who signed up. If anyone gets any information please let us know.

  • Can someone please help me with referrer details? It's too late to call plus I need the time to actually sign up.

    • same

      • +1

If you need help to sign up, I can help you out.
As comment below, I do not earn any bonus by signing up VIP client, purely provide assistance.

        • pmed

        • didn't see your pm?

  • On hold for over 2 hours. Makes optus look good.

  • Well this is a bit of a bummer signed up yesterday still no confirmation… Probably going to get spammed by Amway to buy cleaning products. Was worth a try!

  • Well I guess for those of us who have just signed up we gave a whole load of personal information over to a renowned MLM company. I hope they follow through with the deal but I haven't been able to get anything from Amway and Telstra keep redirecting me to Amway and their Amway team which I am unable to ever reach.

  • +1

Also noticed a number of Amway people here offering their referrer IDs, becoming a member with ozb only to do so. All a bit suss!

    • +2

You think those few Amway members colluded with Telstra to create a fake page on the official Telstra website to get your personal details to sell you washing powder? :)

      • +1

Nah, just think they seized the opportunity to earn a couple of bucks, while offering no help.

        • Not actually sus then, just opportunistic?

        • -1

@eug: Questioning the validity of the deal. Their sly opportunism only fuels a prospective customer's suspicions, and invokes further distrust in a company given their history as such.

        • @Jaystea: But who was this even meant to be for? I don't think it was meant to be posted on a public forum for everybody to use. It certainly looks like it was meant to be a low-volume deal open to their members only.

        • @eug:

That's right, it's actually for members only - not sure how OP got wind of this :)

then again, not sure why anyone would question the validity of this deal, plenty of people have got onto this deal previously (previous similar Ozb deals), feel free to scroll through the search button.

        • It's not like they can offer any help.
They all still need to speak to the Telstra Amway team like the rest of us.

    • +2

They get $120 per referred person who signs up using their ID (haven't seen anyone own up to it though!)

      • -3

Well, I am amway IBO and I don't get any bonus by signing up any VIP Client. So anything you say do not apply.

        • +2

Make an account in the last 24 hours just to give people your referral? That's true altruism right there.

For the record, don't really care if you do. Don't really care if you don't.

      • -1

Actually the $120 product voucher is for you; well whether you wish to end up using it or burn it, it's up to you :)

Please read the terms&conditions / FAQ etc. Or get a plan with Vodafone/Optus if you can't wait/fuss with Amway, they have better deals hey? lol

  • Can someone please send me the id and name? Thanks!

Quick tips for everyone want to sign up this offer
    1. If you are port-in customer
    a. Ring Amway Telstra number, then 2 - 2 to ask for a port in form, they will send to you in 10 mins.
    b. Fill the form and email to them, Telstra will automatically send you a confirmation email with reference number after one hour.
    c. Ring up Amway Telstra number, then 2 - 2, tell them your reference number, they will manually pick up the file and sign up for you.

    1. If you are exiting Telstra customer.
      a. Ring them, then 2 - 3, they open at 9am, so best to call them at 9 to avoid tracffic.
    • The port form is linked on the form you fill out, you can email it through from there no mention about having to call them after which leads to next part.

How can you call Telstra Amway there are numerous comments on here where people are on the phone over 1 hour without anyone answering. Got to admit very concerned now with the comments. This seems like a scam as no one has received confirmation of their order according to posted comments.

      • call at 9am like he said. Not sure what the fuss is about. It's a good deal and if you can't be patient then don't worry about it lol plenty more of plans out there

      • Not sure why quite a few are getting bogged down with missing confirmation of order. I just submitted mine via instructions above in the primary thread. Agree didn't get any order confirmation email from amway, but upon order being submitted, got an on screen confirmation of order being successfully submitted with a unique application reference number underneath it to note down. I believe this should be sufficient.

        • It's the lack of details. I need to call and ask when the phone and sim will be delivered as I'm moving soon and will have to change the delivery address. Also it's nice to know when our number will be ported.

  • +5

Why are people spamming their number? It's been less than two days since I posted this deal and judging by the activity. I wouldn't be surprised if 500+ people had ordered this plan. Have some patience and decorum.

There has been accusations that this is some sort of scam, which is absolutely ridiculous. This'll be the last time I share a bargain on here.

    • +5

Take it easy mate, appreciate you sharing this offer, made a difference. Keep the good ones flowing, thanks :)

    • I know it's not a scam, I have no doubt that its a legit deal through Telstra, it's just a painful process to try and get info from them.

This deal is bloody awesome, you're a legend. Thanks for sharing!

    • +2

Understand how OP feels, don't shoot the messenger lads lol this isn't OP's offer or anyone's here. If it's too much of a drag for any of you, don't bother with this deal if it's not worth patience and the wait.

Better to pay more and get it done quickly right? ;)

      • I wish to state I mean no ill intent towards the deal. This is a great deal and I am very thankful OP posted this. I am only referring to the other responses about being on hold over 1 hour trying to get info and how this comes across. I apologies to OP and others who have taken my responses out of context. I never meant to complain, show impatience or negativity. I have not even tried to call myself and was waiting this out. Thank you for posting this deal it is appreciated.

    • +1

Indeed. People calling this a scam seem a bit precious.

  • +3

Finally got through to them, they said the team has been focusing on 'inbound' connections only, and haven't had a chance to work on the online sign ups.

He basically walked through the online sign up over the phone and is actually processing it now for me. Really helpful guy.

    • very nice. My friend rang this morning too at 9am sharp and got through in 15mins lol.

      • +1

That's what I did. Took like 10 minutes of being on hold. I was so happy to finally talked to someone.

He apparently is processing stuff and will call me back. Hopefully not too long!

  • Some impatient burgers on here. Thanks so much Comfortably Numb! The best things come to those who wait

  • Just submitted an order after a day long thinking!! Fingers crossed.

  • Can anyone possibly explain how the port out of my number works with this deal?
As they are still processing all requests do they keep the port form to the side until you receive the new phone and sim and then we let them know its fine to port the number out?

I am one of those people who does not have a contract. I own my current phone and am with amaysim now but will jump providers if a good deal comes. Porting a number is not new to me however I usually do so online when I have the sim. This way is different as I do not have the telstra sim or phone however have filled in the requests for porting out with this deal.

    • +1

I read on Whirlpool that they start the porting process once the sim (+ the device, I guess) has been marked as "out for delivery" in the tracking.

      • That does make sense, thank you for the reply.

  • Why it is showing expired? The offer is valid till 25th and I can still see it is available in their website

    • +2

There is a comment from Mod in the original posting saying link is removed and deal is over. I guess it was a request from OP. As long as you can access the Amway portal, the deal is still valid.

      • +2

still works; just helped a friend signed up this morning after he compared with Vodafone and Optus and was shocked lol!

if anyone else needs help with signing up (instead of calling) for a VIP client number to get on the Telstra portal, PM me.

  • does anyone have the email address where we should send the authorisation to port number form?

    • +2
      • can you email them on that with querys as I hate being on hold for simple things???

        • +1

Nah mate. Call at 8am AEST

  • +3

Just wanted to say thank you to the OP for the post & please keep bargain posts coming. I tried to negotiate with virgin for a better deal as another post suggested but they wouldn't play dice. Already with them on a 40 plan. And thus this deal is great for me as it allows me to get a note that I've been waiting for since mandatory note 7 returns and also reduce my home Internet bill by $40 (not a heavy user), so in a roundabout way reducing note 8 cost to $165.36 over 2 years.

  • -1

does anyone know how we know the order is success? I ordered yesterday but have received any confirmation email from Telstra. Doese anyone actually get this deal?

    • No have not received any, I placed the order day before yesterday night.
On hold for last 1 hour and 36 minutes. Fedup listening to the hold on music :(

  • If anyone needs IBO number to get VIP account, you can PM me for that.

    • Did you call them in the morning?

      • Yeah 8am Brisbane time on the dot.

        • When you called and spoke to them did they find your online submission with your reference number and process that or did they have to go through it all again over the phone?

        • @Jewelette: All over again.

        • @theguyrules: ok a tad concerning for us who online ordered. I may call tomorrow morning with fingers crossed they can process the online one, just hope they are receiving them. Must be patient :)

        • @Jewelette: You are better off ringing and doing it over the phone. Guy today had nothing showing the "online order" I put through yesterday - easiest way was signing up over the phone. Took an hour on hold + 20 minutes to complete order. I've already received delivery tracking for the phone.

        • @ATD: trying to get through now 15 minutes and counting on hold, any idea what time they close?

        • @Jewelette: Think it was 8pm on weekdays

        • @Dbcake1: thanks, still on hold and its after 8pm they likely just left and ill be on hold till morning lol

    • Which number we should call?

      • +1

        1800 426 699, option 2 - 2

        • We need to call otherwise the order will not go through? Am I right?

        • @zack1502: no idea sorry

        • @zack1502: I recommend calling - see my comment above.

    • it's promotional hence it will not be reflected in the attached plan

      • Yeah, I am not worried about getting the full 60gb :)

  • Deal still works just signed up. PM if you need an Amway number

    • Hey clint302. Could you possible PM the Amway number please. Newbie here and am unable to PM. Been a closet Ozbargain watcher for a long time but this deal really is amazing! Thanks in advance. :)

  • For all signed up for this plan and sought clarification on roaming, the plan comes with free travel pass but the difference is this plan has 2gb monthly allowance instead of 100mb per day.
Neither critical info summary for Go Mobile Plan or travel day pass page says whether you can call 50(I haven't counted) roaming eligible countires and Auatralia or any countries in the world. Critical info summary says you can make unlim calls to standard and mobile numbers while travel day pass says you can make unlim INTERNATIONAL calls.
I had an online chat who said I can make unlim calls within 50 countries plus Australia. I wasn't convinced so called Telstra who confirmed you can call any countries in the world while roaming in 50 eligible countires. It is quite funny that you can only make unlim calls to 15 countries from Australia but anywhere in the world while overseas.

Just got advised that my order has been cancelled and I need to go into a store and provide ID etc.
    Ugh.

    • did they say why it was cancelled?

      • For an ID check. I hope that it isn't actually "cancelled", just suspended.

        • Do you have an email to reply to, maybe scan and send your 100 point ID now so you do not miss out.

        • don't think you'll miss out, probably just pending approval.

OP should be given the "most sensitive OP ever" title as I realised he deactivated his account!…

  • +1

just curious if anyone receive update from Amway/Telstra after signing up and sending the telephone number porting form to Telstra, without calling them? I received a ref number from Telstra right after sending through the porting form but that's it.

    • +1

Same… I received the initial reference on the telstra amway website which is pretty much the vip number as soon as you submit. I then sent through the porting form via email and received another reference via email from telstra. The waiting game now begins.

  • Does anyone know if the phones are locked to Telstra?

    • +2

      Unlocked

      • cheers :D

  • -1

If anyone were like me and upgrade their phones ever so often, just beware because I asked the service consultant if they have cancellation fees, and they do. So you'd be paying out the handset costs as well as service costs depending on no. of months left. This is different to virgin, optus, vodafone for example, where you only have to pay out the handset costs (at RRP).

Happy to be proven wrong, but it's for this reason I cancelled my order with them and just went with my initial order at virgin mobile.

    • Yes, All Telstra (include Amway) mobile service have cancellation fee

    • +2

you are negging this deal because there is a cancellation fee with telstra?

  • I deliberated about this deal, then today my faithful s7's battery seems to have bit the dust, goes from 35% - 0% in 5 mins. Aways profiled (run dead then charged while off fully before powering on) tried again 3 times but still like it today alas

Called Amway, got a generic IBO, used that to sign up for Amway online and then completed the Telstra form tbis evening. Nothing yet from Telstra but fingers crossed. Maybe I get some free dish drops if they stuff it up. Porting a number so will need to somehow print the form and send it back.

  • +1

Ok over 2 hours on hold I give up. If they process the online request i'm happy, if not there will be another deal around the corner.

  • +1

at midnight of the 25th and the start of the 26th, the carriage turned back into a pumpkin and the deal ended

Still good value but now 50gb and $119.20 (without foxtel 12months like the standard personal plans at $129, discounted from $149)

Such is life… and then they hung him. ned Kelly

I was on hold for almost 2hours, three times before getting my lodged application processed! But it was WORTH every second….

  • Anyone else still waiting? I haven't bothered calling just assuming it will get processed at some point. Silence is a bit disconcerting though.

    • Am on the phone with them now. Took 20 mins to get through. She said there is some 400 plus online application but as I'm on the phone we can complete (go through the process again). Also because I didn't put down a valid IBO name she had to call amway. Have decided to call bc screen assure finishes tomorrow. So best to give them a call. Process of signing up is painless, just have the ref numbers ready and some id for credit check.

  • Been on the call since 9 today and still no luck talking to someone.

Anyone else get through to them this morning?

I think if I don't get to anyone in the next 5 mins, I will just hang up and hope for the best…!

    • Bugger. I was lucky yesterday then.

      • very lucky.I still listening the waiting music.

        • +1

I think I'm going to have nightmares about this music tonight!

        • +1

@tomcat83: me too. I already listened 6 hrs.
