      However, the SNDV71 is not in my list so if you mean the SNDV51 which is out of stock now at Jomashop, that same discount also applies here.

      Assuming I am correct about the SNDV51, that suggests your budget is around $180 - $200. Consider No. 13 at 101 TISSOT Watches which in my view is distinctive and casual without bling.

  Love these posts PJC, I've been stuck trying to find an auto inspired watch for as long as I can remember without breaking the bank.

  I'd love something with some classical style text and numbers, something that reminds me of gauges.

  I have come across this and equally surprised its of reasonable value. Have you seen anything like it and/or know if this would be the best price I could get.

        Every watch at 60 ORIS Watches is an Automatic and your budget covers Nos. 01 to 40 though for a little more consider No.56 which in my view is outstanding. There are another 30 Automatics at 75 FREDERIQUE CONSTANT where No. 59 is very didtinctive and there are more excellent Automatics at 101 TISSOT Watches where you should consider No. 55. Take your time and you will find something right for you.

        Thanks PJC, I was definitely swayed when I saw the Artix GT but by the time I saw the post it was out of stock. The only others that are close, feature the Audi sport text, and although quite small, somewhat of a turn off for me.

    None on this list either. If you choose the right watch, an after-market strap may suffice. Wait until you have the watch, because manufacturers nearly always get the watch-strap combo right.

  I just received my watch No 75 from Australia Post and the package was apparently "violated" and repackaged as Australia Post described on their piece of document they included.

  It appears someone opened my parcel took the watch and left the watch box and instruction booklet.

  I am now left with the packaging and not the watch =(

  I opened up a PayPal dispute, but I feel like I will get the short end of the stick.

  Skywatches SG in their ToS say that the liability falls under the buyer if the parcel is damaged or lost during transit. Unfair if you ask me…

  What are my options?

    That is absolutely dreadful. I am very sorry this happened to you and I sincerely hope PayPal, or failing that your Credit Card provider, will reimburse you. Let us know how that goes. Meanwhile, it can't do any further harm to contact the vendor and perhaps send photos.

      Thank you for your suggestions, I will contact the vendor (Skywatches) as well.

      I will also see how Paypal handles the situation, if it doesn't work out I will contact my credit card provider. I am quite annoyed as this is the first time something like this has happened to me, I have been online shopping for over 10 years without incident with the shipment of my parcels, and you can believe how shocked I was to see something like this has occurred to me.

      Quite shocking that someone would go that low to steal another person's item. The sad part is, the custom declaration didn't even list the parcel as being a watch, seeing how my watch box was damaged like that, I suspect that when it was x-ray'd someone probably saw that it was a watch and stole it.

      Anyhow, I will keep you guys updated on the outcome.

        Yes, it would be a shock. So far, I've been rather fortunate with my purchases. I suspect it was an opportunist at Singapore Airport. Those photos should at least help you get reimbursement from your CC provider. Good luck with that.

        Indeed it was, I just had a read of the PDS of my CC (28 Degrees) Shopper Protection, it does not cover jewelry or watches.

        So if I do a charge-back on my credit card, wouldn't that mean that my Paypal account would be in the negative?

        I am curious as I never had to do a charge-back before.

        Any feedback from anyone is appreciated.

        Thanks, no new updates so far.

        Seller said that they have sent my photos and document to their post office for investigation.

        If they do not reply back in 10 days time, I will have to escalate the dispute on PayPal or else my dispute will be closed forever and I won't be able to open another one for this transaction.

        I will keep you guys updated on the outcome.

        I escalated it to PayPal before the deadline. The seller never replied back to me with their outcome of the postage investigation.

        Now it's another waiting game with PayPal.

        I will have to wait until they have reviewed my claim.

        Turns out it will take until next month before they review my claim. I decided to go the Credit Card charge-back route, this dispute has gone far too long and my patience is running out. My CC company said the dispute process will take around 2 weeks, a lot better than the 2+ months Paypal expects me to wait…

        I will update back here once I hear some news from my CC company.

        Paypal just replied back saying that the dispute wasn't in my "favour", I think they canceled my dispute because I opened a CC dispute but I don't know for sure. From what I heard from others, you can't have a Paypal dispute with your CC dispute, Paypal would close the case…

        Anyhow, still waiting on my CC decision with the dispute.

        I will post back again once I hear from them.

        Good news, last week on Friday my CC company called me to inform me that the chargeback was in my favour (unlike Paypal's generic response).

        The whole process took about 2 weeks or so like they said, and it is SO much better than Paypal's crap dispute system. It allows for the seller to screw around for months and then for Paypal to make you wait up to 2 months while they review the dispute.

        The other good news is that my Paypal account isn't in the negative, this means if Paypals screws you over, you can still open a dispute with your CC provider, and still get your money back. (I hope that info can be of use to some people!)

        I am happy to have this bad ordeal behind me now.
