A wee bit cheaper for a better tablet. Clearly a better deal!

    • +1

Think you could get another coupon out of them?? :))))))))))

  • +1

Nooo! I'm at work and can't tell my parents about it and why it's so good :( hopefully it comes this price again soon!

    • +3

      But you ain't working….

      • only claimed being at work.

      • A man can kinda multitask…

    • +1

since when is 3GB average? I am using 1GB ram

      • +4

But you also use Windows phones :P

    • +3

      Only in your world.

    • -1

It's better than 1 and not as good as 6. I reckon that's the very definition of average.

I'm not at all suggesting that for the price it's not excellent value. Just my opinion of the offering.

      • Not when the returns of extra RAM are diminishing as they are. 512Mb to 1Gb is a big difference, 1Gb to 2Gb less difference etc. So actually avg regarding the actualy performance is probably 2Gb IMO

    • Lol… have you used it? For the price you cannot literally go wrong.

This tablet is a beater tablet. Won’t be relying on it to save my life out bush. Serviceable around the city though.

Use mine as the ABC 4 Kids tablet in the car with an Optus SIM hasn’t missed a beat.

Screen is great too. Only major issue with it is some apps takes forever to install.

    • +1

Has root, TWRP and Lineage OS has been released. Serious value tablet

    • Lol

  • what would be the best case for this tablet?

    • +34

It finds a happy owner and is well looked after

      • worst case?

        • +4

It gets compared to a laser tablet

        • @Fiximol:

          or Pendo.

  • +1

    Thanks op,bought one. :)

  • Any good for this phablet?

  • Great tablet. I bought one from joybuy - bad mistake because it's in chinese and there is no Google play store. If anyone can link me how to install the normal android OS please do.

    • +1

there should be instructions on xda

  • This is a terrific price, I just find 8" a bit small for a tablet when browsing or watching shows. Could be good as a kids game machine.

    • +1

exactly how I use mine, however the screen is very good for watching movies, so sometimes I take it with me for travel

    • 8" or between 7 and 8 inches is ideal for me. Used to use a nvidia shield tablet and they were 7.9" perfect size imho. Using a 8.4" one now and it is a bit on the big size.

  • It's $153 for me :(

  • +1

Says coupon has reached its limit :(

  • +1

Bought one of these on last sale and could never get 3g or 4g to work

    • Agree, I have realised the problem is that it cannot connect to any 3G or 4G network! Can't make calls or use any internet because no service provider uses 2G anymore!
Could it be possible that some devices are lacking the hardware for 3G/4G support?

  • +1

Note that it only has B1 and B3 that are used here so the 4G is less useful in practice. 3G works fine of course. It could just be my region but I have trouble getting 4G signal (ie. I get none usually) on those bands in areas where my phone does on the same bands (though it is a somewhat weak signal). It's a nice tablet otherwise, just no custom ROMs.

At this price, certainly a deal. Just don't expect fantastic 4G performance as this is a Chinese model flashed to the Euro rom, thus it only has the Chinese bands, not the larger range of the Euro model.

  • Looks like it's expired, says "This coupon has reached its maximum limit."

    Hopefully this can be extended.

    • Basically everything is worse about that one. Screen, processor, camera are all pretty terrible.

That one will probably get you by if you only have one tab open in chrome at once or you're reading a book on it, and if you don't mind a relatively pixelated screen.

      • But guessing for movies and web browsing it should be enough?

  • Missed out again :(

  • Damn I'm late

    • +4

For those who missing out, keep trying. I succesfully put in the code after several tries.

      • You're right, just worked for me on mobile sites, thanks!

  • cashrewards still

  • Missed out again… 3rd time!!! Lol

  • code working again!

  • I think spending a bit more would be a better choice for a better spec'd unit, like the teclast, onda or cube.
I have been looking at the Teclast one myself recently, still waiting for a good recent Chinese tablet roundup, hopefully with Both Win10 & Android OS options in the one tablet.
    https://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_690462.html?wid=14333…

    • Hopefully TA can negotiate with Gearbest to get more discount with that Teclast T10 :)

    • Let me know what you end up going with as I'm looking for something similar

    • I got the 2GB ram version of Onda V10 Pro the Onda V10 Plus when it was on 'flash sale' and you were still able to use GB reward points on 'flash sales', paid ~$120 AUD. Can't fault it, SOC is great with snappy performance mine scored 93,000 on AnTuTu but the best thing is the screen, 2K IPS display which looks stunning.

Originally wanted to get the Teclast T10 but it was always $60-70 more expensive than the Onda even when it was on 'flash sale' after 6 or so months the Onda has been faultless so happy with my decision so far.

      • Thanks for the feedbak Adr8.
Could you please let us know how long the battery last?
Does it have a lot of pre install apps? are you able to uninstall most of them?

        • The battery lasts 5-6 hours screen on time depending on brightness and this display gets really bright. I normally use it indoors on the lowest brightness setting which is still brighter than the highest brightness setting on my Asus memopad as a comparison.

Not many pre installed apps and most can be uninstalled, comes with Google Play Store pre installed and no problems installing apps from there.

  • Oop! Missed out again!!!

  • Bu##$r…just bought the non 4G one 2 days ago.

  • Takes a few attempts but just worked for me!

  • +1

    Expired already???

  • We need another coupon!! clear where art thou!

    • Saturday m8. Clubbing. I'll harass gearbest on Monday 😂

  • 16GB ROM?

  • missed out again. Thanks anyway OP.

  • +1

Don't waste time. The code has been expired!!

  • Yea 4g doesn't work due to bands. 3g works fine.

  • +1

    missed, another code?

  • code expired

  • Hmm.

Seems this thing is very desired based on comments and upvotes. Can anyone care to share why? Is it the price? What I'm seeing is budget specs, small screen, small band coverage, old version of Android, small storage. I'm not seeing what the fuss is about to be honest.

    • +1

Price and a great screen to go with it. Been happy with mine.

It’s my beater tablet that I take everywhere with the kids.

    • Mainly the price. $150 tablet with FHD screen + cellular.

    • Price:performance..
You will not find anything even remotely close to the performance (even ignoring cellular capability) at double the price.

  • +2

Can't believe I missed this by mere minutes, again… Also hanging for more units or another code, oh almighty GearBest gods!

  • -1

    Band 28?

    • Nope

  • Anyone received theirs yet? Tracking number they provided doesn't even work.

    • If you look on your order on their website, the tracking there works. That said, mine's be sitting at Botany with "Clearance Processing Complete" since 1st June.

Would call courier but have no idea who it is - the order says "Australian Express" - Australia Post Express?

    • I give up - I'll just wait.

Shipping method in email says 中澳专线(澳邮)【香港仓】.

Google search for that leads to auexpress.com - ring them and they asked for AU number which I had. Then they look it up and give me the number of another department that handles it. I try them and they don't know AU or RC numbers.

Seems like quite a bit of chaos, given the parcel got from Botany to Coolangatta in 20 minutes, then back again. lol.

      • I was hoping it'd be faster since its supposedly 'express' shipping. Mines updated on auspost site but won't be getting it till next week by the looks of it.

        • Interesting - I rang Auspost earlier and had an extremely helpful assistant who spent a good 15 minutes with me trying to work out who the transporter is. My RC tracking number doesn't work on Auspost's site - is that what you used?

        • @Janko:Mine starts with AMQ*****, currently sitting in Alexandria.

      • Your tracking message is exactly the same like mine. I think the tracking message is not useful at all, hopefully I'll receive it today as it promised(5-10 working days)

        • I don't think I'll receive today. Sad.

    • I got an SMS saying it was "Comming [sic] via Fastway" - and checking Fastway's tracking system showed it got picked up yesterday (a week after it had cleared customs processing). So should see it on Tuesday given Monday is a public holiday.

Glad it was express shipping, lol.

      • Hardly express shipping if it is taking more than 2 weeks. My parcels been sightseeing NSW for the past 5 days.

  • anyone can recommend a good case for this?
    thanks

    • The Gearbest flip case is excellent

  • Received it today. I got the item sealed and so far I'm happy with the tablet

  • Received it yesterday, but cannt make it connect 4g, 3g only im using optus. Anyone succeed with 4g?

    • I think I have read that 4g bands not supported here, only 3g

      • Just checked the lenovo spec and optus bands they should be compatible.

  • 3g signal shown but no internet? Might be faulty unit?

  • Got my one today after sitting around at Botany and the Fastway depot for a bit

  • I cannot use it to make calls for some reason. But SMS works OK

    • This pad seems have serious network issue, mine could not connect to internet with cellar network and 5G keeps dropping. So could only use as 2.4G wifi pad.
