        I think the GST is on the whole purchase (including postage) so if postage is not free it wont even cover the tax duty for imports.. Someone please correct me if i am mistaken

      If I'm doing a small package, would an NZ forwarding address avoid it?

      It's just frustrating.
      Mainly because the items I'm buying aren't available locally; so it's not encouraging me to buy local. Just more tax :(

    Speaking of which, if you are wondering why eBay Plus doesn't seem worth it any more, this is what eBay are now telling me:

    "Please don't worry I would like to inform you that as it was available before in your listings currently ebay removed the Ebay plus option for all those sellers who is not offering free postage in there listings and as I can see that now you are offering free postage then very soon your item will come under ebay plus logo."

    So what am I paying for eBay Plus for then?

      What is the point having EBPlus now?

      So get everyone onboard and pay $29 or $49 this month. Then totally revert all the plus listing with no extra benefit, people who signed up is sad.

      Can they rrquest for refund as not as describe?

      So now people pay annual fee to get double flybuys points only and free return which covered by paypal for 8 per year already.

    $300 max discount is useless for me. I've been waiting for a 10-15% off code with at least a $500 discount. Prefer a code with a higher max discount amount to make a high $ purchase more affordable.

        Isnā€™t it a democracy here? People are allowed to comment and give feedback or we just have to agree with everything? If you are negged you should also move on. Yes it is targetted however the people receiving the discount appears to be very low in number based on the comments so far. The offer is therefore probably not a good deal for the wider community here and only beneficial for a small minority of members.

      All these ebay promos mysteriously get over-voted up despite it not really matching up with the atmosphere in the comment section. Are all the same people who vote up also making a comment? Of course not. But there's a consistant disparity between the number of pos votes and the number of comments saying "where are the actual deals?" and "I wasn't targetted".
