    Tried to get the Mother today, scan reduced the normal price by $1 rather than scanned as free. Never had any issues before with freebies, in fact got the Slurpee yesterday at same store no problem. Ended up telling them to forget it.

      I bring $1 slupee and mother to the counter and scanned. I said voucher said "free" and then they give me free slupee.
      Free mother voucher has gone.

    tried my luck twice yesterday and today, but no stock, I even went there at like 9am this morning to my local 7-11/petrol station

      To be honest it’s a tactic to lure us into the store. I have gone to 4 stores in the city and non of them have stocks for Gatorade.

          I can't believe they're hiding stock so obviously but no one can do anything about it.

      Unfortunately no luck as well for the raspberry Gatorade. Not able to get another flavour. Last time when they were giving away red bull cans i even saw the blue ones in stock behind the fridge but they said sold out but offered the ginger flavour instead. I suspect they are protecting their stock.

        My 7 eleven station bit better. The raspberry ones ran out. But she got the raspberry barcode on their phone so they scan it and then scan my offer code. The she said I can grab any other flavour.

    NAME & SHAME - Spencer St 7 Eleven near Southern Cross Station faked a code error when scanning yesterday for the Gatorade. I know it was fake because when they actually have issues it's normally due to network connectivity so there's a lot of waiting for the system to load. The cashier just scanned and went "looks like there's a code error" instantaneously.

    On the other hand the Collins St 7-Eleven processed with no hassles

      Call 7/11 HQ and let them know. The person I spoke to said they're tired of stores causing issues like this. I called about my local store as they mysteriously had no stock when there was a freebie, regardless of the time I went. Let alone, there was never space on the shelf.

      Since then, I've never had a problem with the freebies.

        I did this test to prove that the bar code is unique and not a generic code. So others dont need to try.

          You definitely misunderstood what they said. You cannot use the same barcode twice period. They said to use a spare phone with 2nd/temp email (this means creating a new account). You've tested nothing we didn't already know.

    I did something smart today, after no luck with the drinks, I googled the number of the 7-11 petrol station, I rang them and asked if the free Bueno was in stock, he said should be, I said can you please check because I don't want to drive up there for nothing lol, 5 mins later I got there, was only 3 packs left :) will try again tomorrow :D

    I just signed up for a friend and see the free slurpee offer but no barcode “error try again later”, yet on my device the code appears. Is that because they signed up after the offer was released ? Any one know a fix?

    Got super lucky this morning. I went to the hot foods area and picked up a sausage roll. The clerk advised the free one is only for snack sized. I asked if they had any cos I didn't see it and they actually got more stock from the back and added it to the hot food.

    Was told by the manager at 7-11 Harrisdale today that screenshot of the app code to redeem freebie is illegal. Apparently, one of her staff told us the other day she also received screenshot from her boyfriend to help him redeem the freebies, then how come we are not allow to do so? The app doesn't support virgin mobile users :-( , so have to use another mobile phone to log-in using wifi and screenshot the app code.

      Huh, why doesn't it work through your network? That's weird.
      Anyway it doesn't require an internet connection. I just tried it now, turned off data and loaded up the app. Got to the redemption screen with no problems.
      Just connect and load up the voucher before you go there, don't even need to keep it open.

    Melb CBD store asked me to scan my voucher but wouldn't help me scan, he wouldn't even hold the scanner to my phone. Great stuff now im actually put off going into 7/11 altogether. Guess I'll go to another convenience store for food from now on.

          Actually, I like how they aren't allowed to touch your phone here. They usually hold the scanner but maybe not with this promo.

          The same owner guy (and woman that has been told by the owner) that won't let me pay for my coffee and donut first.

          Won't let me start eating the donut either while making my coffee.

          I'd go to another 7 Eleven but its the closest for me before I get on the tram.
