    What? Really?

  • WOW that's a pretty amazing deal. Will have to check my TTV..

  • *Jon Snow XD

    • Corrected. I am sorry

    • I doubt you will get that on the starter pack

      • Domingo below says your get showcase as standard and Google says it's on showcase…. So maybe?

  • +13

That’s pretty cheap. Rupert is getting desperate.

  • Hmm in my mobile offers it makes mention of the free 2 years for mobile offer expired Jan 31st, 2019. This offer is for broadband customers which apparently expires March 31st

    • I just checked mine and still says I can redeem it (mobile offer), but it's only in the T&C's that it's 24 months. Seems a bit weird to not include that anywhere else in the offer. Hesitant to actually click yes.

      • +4

I went through and it was just a 10 day trial from what I can see

But I'm still on Foxtel Now from a previous deal :/

        • +2

So the T&C's are incorrect? Geeze, can't say I'm surprised though considering it's Telstra haha.

        • +4

yep, i first tried on both my mobile saw the t&c said offer ended Jan, and then tried our adsl account, and confirm its only 10 days
never had any other foxtel accounts

          dodgy as hell telstra

        • me too - I got onto the foxtel deal 12 months deal too

Which reminds me I need to unsubscribe soon before my 12 months is over

          • @mrshorty: Apparently they'll let you know by sms/email when it's up

      • +1

Yeah same. It says $25/month and $0 during free trial, not sure what the free trial is, not a lot of detail there.

        • +1

It's weird, everything else says how long the trial/offer is but not the Foxtel Now one.

  • +10

Foxtel is the cockroach motel… you can stay but you can never leave.

It took us 4 months for Foxtel to cancel our service after advising we wanted to cancel it.

There was always something that did not happen or something extra(apart from the cancel request) they needed to cancel the service.

The basic service is just a whole load of channels with much of the same content…. old series reruns over and over, it was 3 grades below free to air TV - seriously BAD.

    • It took me 7 online chats to connect with them in December… I did manage to get free telstra TV out of them for the hassle.

  • I probably know the answer but does this include sport without paying extra?

    • +1

      Yeah nah.

      • +3

Can't believe you got negged for answering the question.

        • You were negged too!! Now fixed.

        • People can be pretty fickle with the their voting.
It's pretty funny really, but thanks.

  • Is the offer on mobile app also ?

Apologies for the long post, can't figure out how to have multiple rows in the right column of a table to a single element on the left.

    • Can you get the sports pack on its own?

      • +2

        Kayo Sports.

      • Not on Foxtel Now. You have to get the Pop + Lifestyle as a basic.

      • +1

As Smogel said, Kayo is essentially the foxtel sports package streamed, on its own, cheaper and with up to 4 channels at once in split screen.
        Supplied by foxtel.

        • I have KAYO sports but over the weekend of the Formula 1 I was extremely disappointed. The stream cut in and out the audio was playing but the feed was delayed. I tried both nbn and 4g connection same result. There are multiple complaints on the whirlpool forums facing the same issues.

    • This is incorrect and the old pricing model. For example you can't purchase Kids + Doco without purchasing the whole lot for $104 pm

Sorry the pricing is correct, but please be aware you can't purchase kids + doco without purchasing every pack.

  • So I’m with telstra nbn, can I get this free 24 mths starter pack?

  • Out of curiosity does Foxtel now stream standard tv ? I'm disconnecting from cable broadband soon and the foxtel.box that was in the deal is only used for the fta channels as no aerial in my downstairs room

    • Nope

    • +1

Only integrates it if u have an aerial

  • I don't even see the 24 months…. In my Telstra TV, this Foxtel starter pack like forever subscription.

  • +4

On my offers it says I can redeem but then becomes 10 days…

  • Legend thank you OP just activated for 24 months !

    • +1

If you check in Foxtel MyAccount does it show up as 24 months or ten days? Mine says:

      10-day free trial
      Trial ends:28/03/2019

Edit: Oh, perhaps because I used Telstra MyAccount not Telstra TV. Should pay more attention.

      • Open Foxtel App on Telstra TV, click redeem offers - that’s where I found the deal.

        • Nothing there.

  • Do we think we can get 24mo based on the T&Cs saying that we can…?

  • +3

I get 10 days free trial not 2 years
Wanted to neg but realised would be unfair neg

    • An issue with the supplier is actuallly a legit neg vote I think

  • +2

Got it. 24 months included in your Telstra offer, then $25/month.

Your first bill will charged on or after 19 March 2021 and will be applied to your Telstra bill.

Edit: Forgot to thank the OP. Cheers OP

  • Thanks for this! Worked for us.

  • By 'starter pack' it means just the Pop and Lifestyle channel pack, would that be correct ? Then you pay $$$ on top for any pack you then add along with it ?

  • My aunt and uncle have a Telstra broadband account but not a Telstra TV box, is there any way they can redeem this?

    • +2

Yup. Login to your Telstra broadband account, click on my offers, then foxtel tv. Worked for me. I’ve got cable internet with Telstra.

      • Did it say 10 days free trial

      • Mine said 10 days.

  • I'm trying to redeem via Telstra website, and it shows me the offer, gives me a redeem button, but then it redirects me to foxtel for which I get:

Service Unavailable - Zero size object

    • Mine;s coming up with:

      Oops
      We're having a technical issue.
Please bear with us & try again

  • +1

Only a 10 day trial for me sad face

  • +1

I can see in the t's and c's of the offer that it says 24 months. When I go to redeem it says it's a 10 day trial. Any one know if I'm missing a step?

    • Yeah I'm getting the same thing. T&Cs say 24 months but after clicking redeem the offer looks like it's only 10 days

      • I had to use an email that had never been used with foxtel now before to get the 24 months.

        • how did you change the email?

          • @fantacular: Also wondering how you change the email. If you change it on the sign up screen nothing updates.

        • Email change also worked for me via Telstra tv.. thanks OP

    • Same here

  • Thanks heaps Nalar!

  • Awesome got it through Telstra Tv app ! Your first bill will be charged on or after 19/03/2021!

    • Can you cancel it now, so it will keep going and auto cancel?

      • Nope if you cancel now it will just cancel. I just put a reminder on for 2021

  • -1

I'll stick to my IPTV. 300+ channels and nothing on.

    • What service you use?

    • +1

      Any decent channels tho?

  • Thank you OP.

Signed up via Telstra TV and showing it ending 19th March 2021.

I am hoping this streams a little better then Foxtel Go / Catch Up which seems much hungrier on bandwidth then say Netflix.

    • Should be unmetered anyway

    • It says for a 1hr 35min episode of HD TV it's 6.5gig

  • +1

Wasnt this part of the unlimited streaming home bundle for 99?

  • Thanks OP. Got it too..ending March 2021

  • +2

Thanks OP, got the 24 months. Using the first gen telstra tv so i didn't see an offers page but you could get it by just opening the app and clicking redeem. Legend :)

  • i am only getting 10 days :( tried the telstra tv ipad app and logging in from my laptop. have telstra broadband.

    • Same for me. I have nbn and have been with Telstra a few years. Loyalty doesn’t mean anything to them then. A bit disappointed tbh, I wonder what makes you be targeted.

  • +1

It showed up in my offers and the terms and conditions said 24 months but then when I signed up it only gave me ten days and now it is saying the offer has been redeemed. I feel ripped off.

    • +1

Pretty sure the days is full accesss to all channels & your getting 24m of basic channels, anyone that signed up with the 10day pop up check if movies or sports are showing on Foxtel

      • +2

I had the offer of 24 months that went to 10days once signed up. It says the next charge for package is after 10 days. But yes, it's showing sports and kids etc channels too now.

      • that might make sense.. can this be confirmed somehow.. ?

  • Hmmm i got 2 offers on my telstra internet account. one says 12 months, other is vague can't tell anything really.

    • Probably 10 days

  • +1

Does it work only when redeem through Telstra tv? I tried desktop only got 10 days. The redeem button seems to disappeared from Telstra TV app after that.

    • Same happened to me. Telstra chat is useless. Told me to call Foxtel who are now closed.

      • Open till 8pm

  • What the heck, I had the offer but I couldn’t click it so I restarted the Telstra TV and now it’s gone :(

  • My folks telstra only shows 10 days free trial

  • When talking to Telstra chat, looks like its only valid for broadband contract customers

    • I'm on broadband and can't see it. Just 10 days.

  • +1

I tried the telstra tv app on iPhone and the desktop app, have telstra broadband, but only get offered the 10 day trial

    • It probably needs to be done via the cable connection

  • Not seeing the offer on my Telstra TV1, also only getting 10 day trial from website offers though :/

  • +3
