Free Google Home Mini (White or Charcoal) for anyone who signs up to Spotify Family.

For Existing and New Users. Offer is only valid for the "primary account holder" of the family.

Existing users visit https://www.spotify.com/au/googlehome/register/ to register for your free Google Home Mini.

Register "your interest" at the above link and then revisit the link and you should be able to go straight to the Google Store to purchase it right after. (That's what I managed to do)

      You need to login as the Primary account holder in Spotify. I logged in as me and got that. When I logged in as my wife - it worked. She’s the primary. Hope that helps.

        So how do you get it to recall any calander appointments etc if you have it as a seperate account. Would that make it pretty useless as a device when it’s not linked to anything meaningful.?

      Maybe, but if you have an Android phone, Google already has an internet-connected microphone glued to you for most of the day, anyway. I'm not claiming that they ARE spying through your phone, but if you're alarmed by Google Home devices, your phone should be equally worrying.

    Maybe a noob question.
    I click on the link (I’m a new user). I get the screen saying free google mini, then have to click ‘get started’ which starts a new sign up, not a register interest.
    It then takes me payment details.
    Not an actual register interest button

      If you're on the Google Store website keep clicking through and then you'll get to the same screen as my screenshot above ^. Is that the screen you're on?

      You have to be a subscriber first. If you arent a member on a family plan they take you to that sign up page first.

    Sweet! Just got one! I was trying to decide between Spotify and Apple Music so guess who got my business??

    Did everyone else have to give credit card details before it would process? (To Google, obviously I had to pay for Spotify but that allowed PayPal while google didn’t seem to) It felt a bit much handing them over for a free product!

    ie: You have to sign up for / pay for the Family plan, then hope you can register and are eligible?

      That should be fine.

      I was an existing subscriber at $5.99 a month. I clicked through, upgraded to $17.99 family plan and authorised PayPal payment, but the payment will not go through until next month. So seems like I could cancel it and will still receive the mini with this months $5.99 payment.

    In case you're an existing solo premium member, you can sign up for family plan (at which point your payment method will have to be re-entered and a $0.01 charge will be made), claim the Google Mini straight after, and then downgrade back to solo premium and you'll get to keep the Mini as well as not be charged $17.99 (next payment amount shows $11.99 for me). Plus you'd still have a family account until next charge. All this for 1 cent.

        I'd guess yes as you're charged $11.99 immediately, but promo expires 14 May so you can afford to wait a few days to be sure
