A pretty cracking deal on the new WF-1000XM3's ! Cheapest so far if you have the points laying around.

      I have both. Sennheiser are good great sound quality I find their fit a bit awkward and no NC, also they wont pair to more than one device at a time major problem for me.

      Sonys sound just as good to me maybe not as loud, awesome NC for in ears, and will pair to multiple devices, case is a bit big though if it was slimmer smaller they would almost be perfect.

    You get 542 points for the cash component of the order, so the net Qantas points cost is only 1458 points + $271.15.

      Yes have them paired to laptop and phone they connect to last device but if you connect from new device they take over.

          Just did this, called the qantas store and the rep was able to cancel my order within a couple of mins. Now to wait for the points to appear back in my account (used all points to buy), rep said would take upto 5mins for points to reappear.

          Edit: points appeared back in my account within 2mins, and placed my order again with code!

              @cent88: Promo code saves you 10% off the points required i think, since i paid fully in points i paid 44568 with code compared to the 49520 originally.
              You're talking about the headphones not the earbuds right? Putting in exactly 29k points with the 10% off means you pay $176.24.

              Pretty sure you can cancel any order as long as it hasn't shipped yet (mine was in the "In Process" stage), otherwise you're gonna have to pay for return shipping and restocking fee i assume. Just gotta give them a call on 1300 662 859 8am-7pm Mon-Sat.

              Also if you paid extra cash it'll probably take a couple of business days to see the cash refunded into your account depending on your bank, as per usual.

    Purchased! How on earth do some of you have these already? They have only come instock on the Sony store a couple days ago. Harvey Norman has always had them listed as pre-order. JB doesn't even list them on their website and whenever I have been instore they only ever have an Out of Stock sticker on display. Thanks for this deal, as have been super eager to get a pair!

      Sony currently have an embargo on stock. They allowed other stores to sell a very limited batch during release which got sold extremely quickly, as you'd expect. The next batch will start being sold in September as of the last time I followed it up.

      Basically, Sony are trying to make as many sales through their own stores during the initial hype. I'm assuming they've done the maths to think it would be successful enough as you'd reasonably assume they'd make significantly more sales if they allowed other places to sell it.

        I'm using Soundpeats right now and they have been going strong for 2 months… No complaints. If you neg, how about state a reason to why these are better. Your own experience can help us other people to decide whether or not the extra money is really worth it

    Not sure how I explain to the wife that I've just bought another set of headphones when I already own the WH-1000XM2 and WI-1000X. If I manage to get these unboxed first then at least I can crank up the noise cancelling while she's screaming at me.

      Sell something. I had more NC headphones than ears (QC 25, QC 30, QC 35, WF-1000’s. And even more non noise cancelling pairs. Flog then on fb marketplace for cheap better than sitting around unused.

    Weird.. The QC35s need 56,430 points while the WH-1000XM3s are at 61,740. But when you convert them into dollar amount the QC35 is $376.66 + 2000 points, and the Sony is $361.13 + 2000 points.

    For anyone who’s got it already, is anyone experiencing problem where the right earbud disconnects (while the left earbud goes on without issue)?

    For me the right earbud disconnects reliably every time I walk past a particular location at Martin Place Sydney (maybe area with strong interference) but using the right earbud on its own is ok.

            @khell: I have total 5 or 6 Bluetooth sets from full ear, on ear, semi cable and tws.
            It's just distortion not disconnected. Just on the intersection. It's nothing really.

              @CyberMurning: Same here, I currently use Galaxy Buds, Airpods, 65T, Beats X and now WF1000XM3 and they all suffer similar BT interference at major intersections…..

              Regarding the right earbud, it's a slave connection via the left (Similar to the B&O Play E8s). So sometimes you will even notice when you pull them both out of the case at the same time the right takes a further second to re-activate.

                  @julz15: It was advertised to be independent. However in reality I'm not sure if it's true as I have the disconnect/reconnect issue only when I use both earbuds. When I use the right earbud only it does not disconnect/distort.

                  So it seems like there is some issue with the 2 earbuds syncing with each other.

            @khell: From my experience, it can range from distortion to disconnect/reconnect. Sometimes it's distortion for a few seconds, whereas sometimes it's disconnection and I could not get the right earbud back to playing.
