Remember this back in April?

Yes! 10% cashback (normally 1%) for eBay is back on again today. You can make as many purchases as you like with no cap. There are no restrictions with this cashback (other than the categories listed under the "Some important things to note" section). Only available for purchases through the ShopBack app. Make sure you go through store "eBay Flash Australia" on the app.

Some important things to note:

  • Allow up to 5 days for cashback to track (if there are any delays in tracking, we'll inform you as such)

  • Would auctions/best offers work for cashback?
    If you won the auction or had a best offer accepted without clicking through ShopBack prior, then you won't qualify for cashback. Clicks through ShopBack must also be done within 24 hours of winning the auction/having the best offer accepted. The cashback rate applicable would be the rate at time the auction ended/best offer was accepted. Payment must also be made on the same day (ideally win the auction/best offer and pay for it in one sitting).

      Ebay changed babybunting's eligibility for the code, it worked 2 days ago but doesn't work now.

      Called customer service for 1.5h and they said pantsuit code only expires 31st October but babybunting is no longer an eligible seller. So I guess it depends on what item you are looking at and who the seller is!

      Bummer and also very sneaky. :(

      Cashback is credited into your ShopBack account as "Pending", then once it is "Confirmed" after a certain period you can request to withdraw your balance out to a nominated bank or PayPal account.

    Has anyone tried the code "PCASAVE" for 20% off at Computer Alliance which expires 30/09. I know it's not in the stackable with this 10% flash cashback, but it seems the coupon has been pushed to expire one day earlier due to this flash cashback. Shame on Ebay

      Yeah the shopback went live after midnight, I though I could take my sweet ass time to find a good PHIZZ15 deals, then bam the code was expired this morning.
      I guess it's to be expected as eBay has to absorb most (if not all) of this 10% cashback.

    Nearly had an aneurysm when I saw this because I just bought an iPad Air last night off the wireless1 eBay store with the PHIZZ15 code plus free shipping (eBay Plus trial) and the original 1% Shopback cashback. Feeling much better now that I see that code had expired before this one got started. Woulda been a ridiculous deal if it would have stacked!

    Do I get cashback for items where I have to ‘Request Total to ask the seller for freight cost’? Only way to request the total is via web browser & option is not available via the app.

      Should all be done within the app - if it's not available via the app then just being on the safe side, cashback may not track.

        Thanks for the reply. Actually that option to request total from seller is not available on the app when you add items to the cart first. That option is there when I clicked ‘Buy it now’ button instead of adding items to the cart first.
        Another issue I had last night, I bought 3x Zzz Atelier mattresses via eBay app and I went through ShopBack app to claim 10% cashback. All went well & I paid for the items 10-15 mins before midnight.
        I received an email this morning from eBay saying -

        Sorry, your recent payment didn't go through. As a result, the item(s) below have not received payment.
        Please return to eBay to resubmit your payment again.

        Money was deducted from PayPal account last night & this morning I can see a refund for the mattresses. My question is if I go back to eBay app & resubmit payment for these 3x mattresses in my cart, do I still get the 10% cashback as the original transaction happened yesterday or do I get no cashback as I’m paying the money today?

    This is a real cruel joke by eBay.

    PHIZZ15 gave 15% off at Wireless1, but that has been expired one day early by eBay.

    So, now the working code is PATPAT, which gives only 5% off, and stacked with the Shopback cashback, it would give (approximately) the same 15% off, instead of the hoped-for 25%.

    Anyone run into issues last night? Bought and paid by 11:30pm, ebay recorded the transaction as 12:30am next day? PayPal said fund was paid at the correct time of 11:30pm.

      i think it's a valid concern, i bought at 11:30pm on ebay, under the "purchases" category i have the item listed, but clicking into it it says "item failed to load".

      i check it again this morning and it is showing up correctly, but the ebay transaction time said 12:30am.

      not sure what's going on, but my paypal clearly indicated the fund was paid on the 11:30pm when i checkout my cart.

      weird…..

    Rep, I just received email from eBay today, saying Action required: Your payment need to be re-sent.

    I originally paid using eBay GC, and received confirmation that the order has been placed yesterday before 11.59pm.
    What happened in this case, if I paid the item now? Will the 10% cashback still tracked and honored?

    Any OZBargainers get similar issue previously and know the answer?

      Unfortunately the payment would have required to be completed by 11.59pm AEST yesterday for us to be completely confident that everything will go through fine. We'll be completely honest here, if you paid now we aren't 100% confident that cashback may track, and in this instance you may need to submit a claim for it.

      We understand this is something beyond your control - if you prefer to proceed with your payment we'll do our best to process your claim if tracking doesn't come through.

        I am experiencing the same issue here.

        I have contacted eBay about the payment issue and he admitted that there is a known and ongoing issue with PayPal.
        I was also paying with eBay GC, and they say PayPal is the bank partner who process all the payments made in eBay.

        We did made our payments before 11.59pm AEST and it was eBay and PayPal's issues causing the incompletion of our payment. And we won't get our cash back because of that? =(
