    Hi Luke,
(Not sure if this question has been asked before…) are you guys planning to stock/sell Ryzen 1600AF CPUs?
(I understand it might be hard to source them as they are probably not targeted for Australian market but you are selling 3500x - so here is hope)

We've made enquiries. Can't say anything more at this stage.

  • Hi guys,

Will you be stocking the 1600 AF?

  • I'll be doing Lightroom photo editing and some Davinci Resolve video editing (1080 now, maybe 4K later on).

Comparing this system in the OP versus the high base spec, which is the better bang for buck?

On a related matter, I will need to install a 5.25" optical drive, so it looks like I will need to specify a different case as well?

    • For editing, you'll need the beefier CPU. The Tesseract is the only case that has a 5.25" internal bay.

  • TechFast any chance you can help out the people who got screwed by FTC Computers and sell them some components? Thanks - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/512771?page=2#comment

Having a little trouble following the thread - people who bought the Ryzen 9s arent getting them? The purchase price is below anyone's cost…

      • Yeah, they sold the components and they were marked as sent on the 20th of January but they didn't actually send them (they just provided a sendle tracking number that is stuck at "waiting to be dropped off").

        • This has been my experience also, but for a Gigabyte Gaming OC 5700XT for $566.

Hi Luke, looking for the best bang for buck PC that will do a good job with vr games,am using a Samsung Oddessy+ thanks

  • Any of the R5-3500X or 3600 upgrade, or 3700X PCs with a mid-tier GPU, so the 5700XT or 2070 Super, would be my recommendation, for VR and 1440P gaming. The 1660 will give you VR and 1080P gaming at a lower price point. Ensure you have enough in budget for RAM and storage!

    • Thanks for answering. Just caught up with your answer . Will have a good look tomorrow.

  • Hi
Can anyone give me some advice if this is suitable or something else…
I'm looking for a new PC for my family to be able to use, mostly web browsing and general office programs.
My eldest daughter who is 11 is keen on getting into some gaming. Not sure exactly what games yet - probably start off with something like Age of Empires. I'm happy to upgrade parts later if I need to / can.
Hope this is not too broad but would appreciate some help on what I need.
    Thanks.
    Deb

I don't think they remove Windows. Just comes to you installed but un-activated.

      • Ah.. got it. Thanks mate

    • Hi! Today is business day 8, so it will be shipping soon for you - either today or early next week. You will receive dispatch notification when it ships to allow you to monitor its delivery progress. Windows will be installed but not activated.

    • Don't hold you're breath, waiting on mine since Jan 15.

  • hey Luke, as far as I'm aware all the pc's come with Windows 10 home pre installed? does this mean the keys must be windows home only (windows 10 pro won't work?) ? my first time buying a pc

    thanks in advance

    • We can preinstall Pro upon request - via the Notes field on the Cart page before checkout or via [email protected]

    • I used a pro key on the techfast install, and it upgraded itself to pro

  • for packages that include a AMD gpu do you update the drivers before sending them out? alot of reviews of people having multiple issues with the 5700XT in terms of game crashing, green screen, and over heating. and about all are the same brand that your offering MSI MECH.

    • We are using the most recent AMD drivers, yep.

  • for anyone who has bought a package with the amd mech 5700xt, have you had any issues with it?

  • Hey guys,

I'm just wondering how buying a pc prebuilt compares to getting the parts individually and building it yourself?
Would this be a better option that buying something like these parts? https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/KGVkgJ
