seems all messed up but kind of working right now..

    Yesterday:
-Binge account had no access & no subscription
-Telstra Account sent out that "your binge subscription is cancelled email" but it was still showing as "subscribed in myTelstra Offers"

Soooo cancelled the subscription via myTelstra offers - now showing as cancelled.

But today - Binge account is working again & shows a full year's subscription (exp 02/07/2021)

    ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • damn

it seems they have fixed the loophole

on the binge sign up when i click start subscription it says code not valid with account

  • Spoke to binge, had to sent screenshots of it being cancelled and to their credit have fixed it up and all working with a years worth of viewing

12 month didnt work, tried few times, took the 6 months

  • +1

Goes through to last page with 12 month approved and when you try to activate it doesn't work.

    • Are you paying by credit card? Mine hung at that step as well, change to pay with telstra

      • Tried both and both didn't work

  • Just checked my bank account and there are 9 X $1 taken out by steammotion???

    • +1

I have 3x $1, and I was initially only eligible for the 3 months but used the 12 month code

This could just be a billing preauth and they might refund it. Will need to keep an eye on it though

WTF. I just got an email stating that my account was cancelled in error.

I now have 12 months again.

  • Using Binge for a few weeks now and their HBO content makes it very worth it.

Not to mention all the other stuff.

    • Yes, it's excellent very similar to having the foxtel packages (new shows come up as well). Very happy to have it for free

      • +1

Yes like I was scrolling through to find The Quiz a brilliant 3 part series which had only aired on Foxtel a couple of months ago.

        Watching McMillions now.

        • +1

          Yes I watched mcmillions.
          Amazing series

the 12 months voucher didn't work for me "This voucher is not available on your Telstra account"

  • Maybe this worked for everyone earlier, but now it shows "This voucher is not available on your Telstra account" for my standard account. So I got 6 months…. which is still great.
    Thanks.

  • Can my ipad receive text messages for this deal, didn't telstra just turn that feature off?

    • That was for data only was t it? I can still receive texts but not calls but can still make them!

  • I'm another one that is getting the "This voucher is not available on your Telstra account" at the last step

    • I decided to leave it till later for my 6 months. Plenty of other streaming services already, as long as they didn't end the offer too early.

  • This worked, thanks OzBargain! I just wish they had a Samsung TV app.

  • Damn, I just got a push message from Telstra offering me 3 months free after my last attempt failed. Seems I'm late to the party.

  • Not sure what happened but looks like I've been dropped to 3months even though i signed up for 12. Anyone else have this happen? Think it might be something with merging my kayo account with binge.

    • Still 12 months for me.

  • i was offered 6 months changed code to 12 but get error at check out ""This voucher is not available on your Telstra account."" does anyone know a work around?

  • had to use code BGETLSL6ONUS for 6months. if one cancels now will it cease straightaway or you still have access for 6 mths?

  • Got in okay and changed to 12 month code. End process "this voucher is not available on your Telstra account"
    Same with 9 month code.
Ended up back at 3 months.

today logging into my account and got the following message, didn't even use the 12 months code..

Unfortunately, as you already have an account with Streamotion this offer isn't available for you. If you'd like, check out the options available for you below:

damn, turn out you can't cancel it straight away, if you cancel now, you only got one month to watch

    • Try using a different e-mail address when you reach the Binge sign-up page. By “different”, I mean different from the e-mail address that Streamotion already has on-file for you.

    • Yep. got that as well after taking a weeks break from bingeing Westworld s1-3. Was going to start s4 today when i tried to log in and got that. /sad

  • Hi All - i had my account cease after Telstra revolked my code as i'd used the 12 month code yet was only eligible for 6. Anyway I complained to Telstra as I could not even use Binge for the period I was initially entitled to (Binge would not work for me & tried to charge me full price despite the adjusted Telstra offer).

After a few emails they had me cancel my binge subscription via Telstra Rewards page with a promise to give me credit to the value of the subscription in the event i was unable to reactivate the offer. I was not able to - so Telstra have offered a credit of $60 which i am currently disputing as it should be $70 given 5 months left x $14/m for the Standard Binge Plan.

If anyone else has the same problem/wants copies of my emails to Telstra to resolve let me know - it wasn't THAT big of a headache and tbh i'll likely just cancel Binge after a month once i've finished watching The Office and enjoy the free $56 off my Telstra mobile bill.

  • Anyone know how to redeem this when you can't receive the one time code via SMS? I have a post-paid iPad data plan on an eSIM - so it's not like I can 'just put the sim in another device to receive the code' which is what Telstra Chat suggested. I have the 6 month offer showing in my account, but no way to redeem it.

    • Use a new mobile number.

      • There's no option for that? It just has re-send code.

I have my (voice) number set on the account, but that doesn't seem to affect this prompt.

  • This voucher is not available on your Telstra account.

I got this after using the 12M voucher. Logged in to Telstra account before clicking Start Subscription. Any idea?

    • Confirming i have the same issue

  • Looks like Binge has cancelled my 12 month subscription only a couple of months into it by claiming they were unable to charge my telstra account twice unsuccessfully despite it being free for 12 months. Signed back in to the account and subscription gone :(

    • Same for me…

    • Same for myself

      • What don't you get, "cancel anytime" = they can cancel your account anytime. You didn't actually think a business would honour their words did you?

    • is this a mistake by binge or telstra ?

  • +1

Has this been canceled? The offer is no longer visible for me despite it previously saying redeem by Jan 2021.

    • I just signed up via the link in the OP, got my 9 months as the offer may not stay around until Jan 21

  • Just signed up to the 6 month as that was available in my Telstra account.
Didn’t want to risk going for the 12 month to have them cancel it on me.

  • +1

becareful all, i had signed up got 6 months free binge then 4 days ago they tried to charge my credit card, i used one that has no money on it (overseas spending card) and then got told my subsciption failed payment, why does a payment need to be made on a free service, a day later my account became deactivated. lost the 3 months remainder, telstra (and their useless messaging app) told me i lost it and nothing they can do.

    • +2

Same happened to my 6month free trial a few weeks ago. Binge is dodgy af.

      • +1

ohhh wow, ok now this is f'ed up. i spent 3 days trying to get my entitled remainder and all Telstra have to say is sorry but you lost out. Binge is worse, they only deal with email and all they told me was contact Telstra. both are just as bad as each other.

        • +2

same for me - I had Telstra blaming Binge and vice-versa. It clearly shows in the myTelstra site my subscription ending next year, but shows as cancelled according to Binge

  • Is there anything good to watch on there? I usually just default to Netflix or Stan when looking for something. Had the subscription for 3 months but never used it, wondering if I should cancel it going by these comments

    • +2

New episodes of the walking dead, Fear the walking dead, Ballers, westworld, entourage etc.

I actually quite like what shows they have. The interface is pretty poor though.

      • I watched the Quiz which was great.
Veep has great reviews but haven't watched it yet myself
McMillions was a great 8 part documentary
        Curb Your Enthusiasm
I'll be gone in the dark

      • Fear the walking dead this season has been awesome!

  • Tried with the 12 month code and it said I was not elligble for it. On my Telstra account it was only giving 3 months. Was able to sign up for 3 months.

  • My binge just went. Initially signed up for 12 months but probably only worked for 3 ! Bloody binge

  • Do I need to be a new account for this to work?
