Someone tried to login to an email account I've only used for Shopback. Do not use this service unless you want your data sold to scammers.

    • Just a hunch, or do you have proof?

      • -1
        • +1

          Yes, they were hacked.

You're claiming they sold the data.

Not only are the two things different, they are the complete opposite of each other.

Again, what evidence do you have that they sold user data?

          • @ash2000: Read my comment again. I said that my data was sold, not that Shopback was the entity that sold it. What do you think happens when a database is hacked?

It's literally listed for sale here.

As I said, I only used this email for Shopback. There was no other way this data could have leaked. All I'm trying to do is warn others that using this site could lead to their identity being sold; whether you choose to believe me has no impact on me.

            • -1

              @[Deactivated]:

Do not use this service unless you want your data sold to scammers.

This is a fairly unambiguous sentence which implies the future intent of ShopBack is to sell the data themselves.

I think we can file this as :

              Just a hunch

              • @ash2000: I'm not sure what you gain from arguing about semantics but I'm not going to engage.

  • Does it include nintendo switch?
Combine with Zip cash back = $301?

  • +9

Folks from Brisbane, careful, it starts at 04:00 pm Brisbane time…

  • Does this deal include the gaming consoles too….am looking buy the Nintendo Switch….can someone clarify please

  • Would anyone know if this purchase qualifies for the shopback and Zip Pay - https://www.amazon.com.au/Focusrite-Scarlett-Audio-Interface…

    • Get a gift card. Gift cards are eligible. You can buy this later with gift card.

      • +1

Where does it say that gift cards are eligible? I cannot see it anywhere in the terms.

        • +1

Yeah may be I am wrong. Apologies. I thought you can buy gift cards.

        • +1

He is saying to buy giftcards via Zip and then to pay for the actual item using the giftcards purchased via Zip. So the giftcards will be 10% off ad hence you combine the Zip offer and the Shopback cashback.

          • @Xishnik: Yeah I get that, and previous cashbacks have stated in the terms that you can do this (used GC to pay), but the current one doesn't have anything about that. Only that you can't buy the giftcard directly on amazon.

  • Are items from US Seller on AmazonAU eligible for this Shopback????

  • +1

Would preordering a game be qualified for this? Not sure if transaction would occurs today or when the game is out.

    • "Pre-orders are eligible for Cashback provided the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase."

  • Is tablet eligible for CB? like Samsung Tab S7? Sound like it but just double-checking. Confirmed it with Shopback reps, included..

  • How does Zip pay work? Do i just create an account and link my credit card for payments (similar to paypal)?

    • Yes, and you can also schedule your next pay to pay off the whole amount you owe. You'll need to add your Debit Card or Credit Card for payment, and also for verification purposes.

      • Can I still claim price protection with 28degrees if use zip pay?

        • 28 degrees isn't a debit card. Zip asks specifically for a debit card during setup process.

          • @Xishnik: Yes, but you can also add Credit Card.

    • +2

They will do a credit check and it may affect future loans. Be careful. Its like Afterpay (lay by system). I was just about to sign up but googled it and decided it wasnt worth it

      • Haha oops too late. Oh well, home loan is done for a while anyway

  • +1

Does "All Categories" include items that are normally excluded within a category?

Mobile phones are normally excluded under Electronics, will they be included in this?

    • Answering my own question -

Mobile Phones & Wearable Tech (Includes Smartwatches, Fitness Trackers, Dashcams, Tablets, Navigation) - 12.00%

  • +1

I'm calling it now. ShopBack will inevitably get Ozbargained and crash during this time period.

    • +4

      Ozbargain is getting ozbargained too!

  • If I cancel an order I made with the apponly10 code, would I get that code back?
Likewise for an order I made with the $10 free credit they were handing out a couple months back?

    • Don't think you can reapply the code if it has expired but credit pretty sure you can.

      • Ah, thanks. Unfortunately my credit purchase, Pandemic, shipped this morning. Catalan hasn't yet though so calling them now to confirm about the codes.
        Edit: I just realised.
Chances are they'd return the coupon to me at best, right? Rather than crediting my account.

And I can't use the coupon with shopback anyway.
        So I'd best leave it.

I'll order the whiteglo I guess.

  • Does this work with quest 2?

    • Should be. It’s listed as ‘Video Game’

  • dudded again!!! already ordered today…

  • I have some courtesy credit on my account for some reason, will cashback still be paid?

  • Looking to buy something that says "in stock on November 30th", will the cashback go through if I make the order? Thanks!

  • +5

I think we need clarification. This is from last years 12% promo:

    "Cashback is not qualified for:

Items added to cart before clicking through Shopback
    Returns, exchanges & cancellations
Gift cards purchases and Prime membership and purchases made on the Amazon App
eBook purchases not available for Cashback
Purchases paid with gift cards/Amazon credit & Promo codes or Voucher codes not approved by ShopBack"

Notice the last line. I think I'm not going to use gift cards at this stage. Will just stick to pay directly with zip pay for the stacking.

    • +1

      From Shopback:
      - 12.00% Cashback only eligible for purchases between 5.00pm to 6.00pm AEDT
      - Items added to cart before clicking through from ShopBack are not eligible for Cashback while Cashback is tracked within 4 DAYS from day of purchase
      - Cashback is only payable on order value (excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs) and is valid on orders paid for with gift cards (not orders with Amazon credit)
      - Pre-orders are eligible for Cashback provided the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase.
      - ShopBack will adhere to the categorisation recommendations from Amazon, only selected categories are eligible for cashback.

I'm surprised that no one added this

  • Reading through the comments, getting confused now, Does purchasing amazon gift cards itself eligible for 12% cash back?

    thanks

    • No but using them does.

  • How do you do both Amazon 12% and 10% Zippay using the Shopback Plug in on chrome?

    • +2

Use Incognito to guarantee there's no adblocks disrupting your extension, make sure you visit Amazon website through Shopback and use Zippay as payment option in checkout

      • perfect thanks couldnt remember if I had to do anything special. Chrome is my shopback browser no other extensions on there.

  • +2

Does this work for items sold by Amazon US but purchased via Amazon.com.au?

  • +2

Do we know if there is a limit of how many times we can use this?

    • +1

Good question does anyone know. Also, Can you add multiple items to carts as well?

      • 12.00% Cashback only eligible for purchases between 5.00pm to 6.00pm AEDT

        so guessing multiple works

  • +1

Sick of these onerous conditions for cashback like not being able to use gift cards or not being able to use the app. In many cases you actually can use gift cards and still get the cashback. Wish they would be clear cut about this.. and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be eligible anyway..

    • As stated earlier you can use gift cards?

  • Still not using these clowns…

  • +1

Cancelled the 256GB Quest & got the 64GB.
Should be about $370 after all discounts.

  • active yah?

    • yep

  • I'm confused…is it on now or AEST. Every state has different time due to DST

    • +1

As per title, 5-6pm AEDT, so it's on now

  • Unfortunately, we weren’t able to cancel the items you requested and these items will soon be shipped. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    NOOOOOO

    • +1

re buy at lower price , and return the other item for full refund :)

  • Ordered just now, no email yet. Is it normal?

    • Yes, takes hours, not instant.

  • +1

Doesn't look like the cashback is activating.. anyone else have this?

    • works now, don't worry.

  • It says you can use gift cards

"- Cashback is only payable on order value (excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs) and is valid on orders paid for with gift cards (not orders with Amazon credit)"

    • +1

What is "Amazon credit" exactly? Some items have these "coupons" applied, is that what they're referring to?

  • Can I do multiple orders or will it not like me doing that? Want to use zip pay for one thing and then just use credit card for some other stuff

  • +2

    this stuff is sooo fickle…

  • +1

Do I get cashback if you used APPONLY10 code?

  • Can someone confirm if the 12% cashback would work for this Nikon deal. It requires using a code during checkout and that is not listed in Shopback currently

  • Does it have to be fulfilled by Amazon AU to be eligible?

  • +1

Just purchased $500+ of usually non-cashback eligible items. They better have tracked!

  • +1

A comment from a user further above scared me, so cancelled my order, and re-ordered via PC browser.
Is Shopback making it difficult or sneaking in details to make cashback ineligible?

    "Cashback is not qualified for:

Items added to cart before clicking through Shopback
    Returns, exchanges & cancellations
Gift cards purchases and Prime membership and purchases made on the Amazon App

Maybe above is not applicable, but I was trying to be on safe side.. hope no issue for others who ordered via the Amazon app

    • the comment from the previous user also mentioned that it was from "from last years 12% promo".

In saying that, I can't find that condition for this year's promo. With that being said, I normally use the shopback app. would be a shame if it didn't track =(.

    • When you use the shopback app for Amazon, the button actually says 'go to app'. So I can't see how it shouldn't work

  • So I've just realised that Amazon applied a $20 promotion to my order, which I'm thinking might have been some free credit, does this mean my entire cashback is invalidated?

    • Yes

    • If it's "Amazon credit", yes your entire order is invalid.

      • Can I ask, what about free standard shipping? I don't have prime, but when I select free shipping, it says "Promotion(s) Applied"

      • +1

        Ahh what the hell then!

I just cancelled, went to order again and I can't remove the credit!

        Price: $948.00
        Courtesy Credit: -$15.00
        With discount: $933.00

        • Buy a random $15 item to use up the credit. lol

        • Just make a quick purchase of something else first, and then do the shopback purchase.

        • This just happened to me to! It auto applied so $10 promotion credit. So do I need to cancel and re-order? Cause it was 3k worth of stuff!

          • @corehaza: Yes I'd do it just to be safe. It should instantly cancel everything, I just had to do it with a Quest 2 purchase

            • @The Candyman: Yeah 2 of the items cancelled immediately, but one of them says I have to wait for the seller to get back to me in a few days :/ and they already took $780 from my account.

          • @corehaza: at the bottom of the page where you select your credit card you can untick a box that says 'use credit'

            • @bohn: hmm just double checked, and it's an item that has a "$10.00 coupon applied at checkout". Would that still disrupt the shopback?

        • All solved, I had to create a new amazon account.

I still have a "promotion" of free delivery, but thats surely fine right if amazon are offering that as standard!

          • @samfisher5986: I played it safe and made a new amazon acc with prime. Bought something for a lot of money, so don't want to risk anything

  • +2

what to buy… what to buy..

    • exactly.

i don't even know what to buy on Amazon.AU ,
because much of what i want, is Out-Of-Stock or in the U.S. :-\

  • Ordered $149 Fitbit charge 4 and a $50 PlayStation store voucher. Now just need another $1 to qualify for the $30 Citibank credit.

Today is a good OzB day.

    • I don't want to burst your bubble, but T&Cs:

      DON'Ts
Subscribe & Save purchases, Prime membership subscription purchases, Gift Cards, Kindle Unlimited, Mobile Apps, Audible, Echo Accessories, Kindle Accessories & Travel electronics, Amazon Coins are also not applicable for Cashback

Proceed at your own risk I suppose.

      • Hopefully it counts. If not I needed the credit anyway.

      • I've had CR track S&S.. now i'm not sure whether they were declined at some point
