Was anyone hoping this would work on the Hisense 65Q8? I pulled the trigger on the deal yesterday but went in-store and got the guy to do 10% off plus free delivery! Guess I should stop looking at ozbargain 😅

    • Yes I was!
Mind if I ask which store offered you that deal?

      • +1

Yes it was nunawading! Give it a shot, there or any other stores. Hopefully they do a deal for you. Mine was $1350. Next day delivery.

          Thanks friend!

I genuinely don't see anything of much value. Great marketing for eBay though.

  • +3

Another code that only applies to jacked items that barely go below the prices of other sellers even AFTER the code.

  • +1

Yeah this sucks, revoked my updoot

  • Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.

tried it on new pokemon snap from thegamesmenau

  • Doesn't work on jack, no not that Jack

Last week's 15% was much better as that worked on even non Plus items…

  • This promotion is just rubbish, all jacked up prices

    • +1

Yeah, was considering a roborock. then checked the official roborock seller listed above.

      https://ibb.co/wQhPFLP

$999 current price less 17%, trending at $726.49 elsewhere.

  • (profanity) eBay! Let’s boycott these pricks!

  • None of the items that I am interested in are included. I guess the 'store wide' applies to select ebay stores. And I was hoping that ebay would offer something site wide to entice people to buy items from ebay for mother's day. Looks like there are better alternatives, that are having promotions for the day.

  • +5

It’s not site wide only very “selected” items

  • +4

Only applies to 15,817 items so something like 0.00001% of all listing LOL

  • Going through one by one in my saved watchlist - nothing works - "Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again".

  • +1

Very limited items you can choose from. Good luck if you find your's with a good price. I am out.
This is still the eBay we know for a long time.

  • It seems it doesn't work on BigW is not eligible. :(

  • +8

15% off jacked up items of no interest… probably not even applied to 1% of items on the site.

  • +11

You know its a bad ebay code when there isnt 10000 different deals posted minutes after the code goes live.

  • Very disappointed by this deal

  • Didnt work on items where the prices were not jacked :(

  • Not working with Good Guys TV's I've tried

  • +2

They jacked the lego price up above RRP by 53% and give you 15% off
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/284156415189

    • I just browsed that store. A lot of their prices are higher than the official Lego store, and when you apply the discount, it comes in very fractionally under the Lego store prices.

  • +5

As others have said, jacked up prices on the eligible items. Discount on the eligible MX Keys is still more than any other seller.

  • Definitely not working on digital piano

    • seems not working on music instrument.
tried the code on an electric guitar. Says wrong code.

Another joke deal from eBay. What's the point of specifically listing an exclusion list when it isn't even exhaustive?

Even OP has given up and not even linked the search link in the description lmao

    https://www.ebay.com.au/e/coupon-offers/15-to-17-off-top-pic…

  • +7

Hmm, tried several items I've been after and none of them working.
As usual the exclusions far outnumber the included items

  • +2

Was all excited for appliances online but no good. Hopefully they aren't excluded in the 20 percent later this month. Good luck to everyone else though!

    • Is that confirmed somewhere? Got my eyes on something.

      • Might just be the items I was watching, give it a shot and hopefully something is included.

        • I'm referring to the 20% off later this month. Where was that mentioned?

          • @ChillBro: Oh yeah sorry, 4892 mentioned it in the comments above. I believe they are one of the sellers that were contacted ahead of time.

            • @madseason: Ah i see it, thanks. The massive list at the top deferred from scrolling further.

  • +7

Urgh, same as always, it's "eligible items" that are already marked up 20%. How do these eBay deals get so many upvotes?

    • +2

Because they're posted before we know the items are going to be good or bad deals.
Sometimes there is insanely good deals, often there isnt..

  • Why are myer and baby bunting always excluded? Arggh

  • +4

Wow… not a single thing i was watching (even some that were in promos in recent weeks) is eligible. Not much of a promotion from what i can see, real fizzer.

  • +4

honestly, this is just spam at this point. no harm meant to OP but it's just eBay being trash.

  • Typical "eligible items" i.e inflated price items from eBay again. Glad I cancelled my eBay plus

    • Why the upvote then?

Pairs well with your new ring sizer

    • +1

Is there evidence of any price jacking?

      • Not sure about price jacking…definite jacking though

  • I'd wait until around EOFY. For what it's worth I've been waiting to buy a UPS and some other hw, and even with ebay plus and the discounts it's still cheaper to buy from a brick and mortar shop, or pretty much the same price in the best case scenario.

  • "“Eligible Items” means all items listed on eBay.com.au where these terms and conditions are found and the coupon redemption code PM1517 is displayed in the item listing"

I'm looking through Antiques -> Silver -> Sterling, and nothing has the code. It appears a lot more categories are excluded than eBay lists.

  • +9

I am so sick of '$X to $Y' price listings polluting the sort by price searches. Here is a good example:

WD 1TB-18TB HDD Blue Red Black Purple Gold Western Digital Internal Hard Drive

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/264654452460?hash=item3d9ea276ec…

$79 to $1030! How many drives do they actually sell? Two: WD Blue 1 and 2Tb.

    So they don't have 4, 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, and they don't have red, black, purple or gold.

    Utterly useless.

    • +2

      Me too! Absolutely hate it.
I go out of my way not to buy from sellers who do it

    • +1

      they really should be banned…

  • This is such a flop, only 223 laptops are eligible LOL! 🤣

    • You too good for a Chromebook from 2015 at RRP?

  • Lel

    eBay is funny hehe

  • Yet another eBay let down…sigh

  • Incredibly small number of items actually available and they have been price jacked to compensate.

  • I can confirm it appears to work on more than a few million items as one store has that amount of items working with this code .
Not that it helps me or you .
Don't neg me on facts :)

Was thinking about buying the last 4TB Samsung QVO SSD from Futu Online, but they raised the price again within last hour or so. So they can stick it.

    • None of the SSD deals are any good :(

    • Best I can find at the monent is $475 after a $50 code fro bpctech now; so net of $60 cashback, it's $415. Have you seen anything better?

(and man I regret not pulling the trigger on the <$400 860 EVO 4TB now from the Afterpay eBay sale)

  • +1

First shopping list: More expensive than MSY.

Last shopping list: What? The neverfailsme 'related' deals tab is empty!

    Fack off eBay!

  • Any 65 to 75 inch TV's on sale for a reasonable price or is it a fake discount again

  • Bloody eBay again, no Sitewide discount.

  • Does this work for iPad?
Need to get my parents one

  • Why ebayplus sucks???? Nothing in mycart can use this discount

  • I tried hard to find a deal, but there was none.

  • +1

Jackup prices in almost everything i check. Do we have something like 3camel for ebay?

    • +1

Don't think so but I usually just check OzBargain for the item to see recent deals on eBay for the same item as a sense check.

  • So much jacking… even compared to last month's PAPR15 coupon code.

eg. FUTU Online 870 Evo 2TB $271.15 after PAPR15 is now $289.67 with a higher PM1517 code for eBay Plus.

I could be wrong though.. maybe SSD pricing did go up thanks to Chia.
