As if Harvery Normans Game sale wasnt enough, this one could be bigger!

Dick Smith are apparently getting out of the games market so they are selling off all stock.

    Kippa-Ring, Morayfield, and Strathpine stores have all been Ozbargained into oblivion

    Managed to pick up Fifa 11 and some Airport Simulator for the lols, cost like $7, but everything was pretty much cleared out

    In hindsight though, I probably should have picked up that Goldeneye Wii for $20 FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFU—

    Guys,

    If anyone is interested, I accidently bought 3 copies of Homefront for Xbox when I only wanted 1. (I ment to get 3 copies of another game - 1 for me, 1 each for 2 of my friends). Not the most sought after game I know, but someone may have been really wanting one and missed out. I don't need 3 so if someone wants a copy and is ok with picking up from the Hills area Sydney, 2 are up for grabs free of charge. I just got the invoice so looks like they will be shipping it soon.

    Dick Smith is the most useless tech company out there. staff are clueless, prices are high and they rarely have stock. have not bought from them in years. And I am also sick of these companies talking about these deals on facebook, they should be advertised in the catalog or on the website.

    I negged this earlier and it was reversed for some reason

      Eneloop battries? 3D Blu-ray players with NetTV support for $128 (or just Blu-Ray for $80 or lower). DSE do have good deals from time to time… except people tend to only remember the bad ones.

    Went to two stores, no stock. I asked an employee who said that 'it had all been reserved', which went against what the online information said (no reservations, no click and collect). Pretty much false advertising.

    went to DSE at mtduitt, around 10:30. Everything was gone, nice guy i met had a list and said he had been there since the store opened and saw heaps of people.

    Picked up a couple of pc games. not much were left

    then went to DSE at blacktown

    picked up: brink + C&C3 - i thought i bought assassins creed brotherhood aswell, but the clerk gave me the wrong game.
    so ive listed it on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BRAND-NEW-Assassins-Creed-Revelat… . I didnt hoard any items fyi.

    BIGGEST SCAM.
    Went to pick up 3DS Pets, they guys said its 59.95, pulled out my phone showed them the screenshot of the catalogue in ozbargain, with the EXACT same item code, says $10.00, the guy was like wow really (worst acting ever). and then he said okay, $10 it is. He then went to get the game, pretend to look thru and told me they were all sold out, when there were 10 of them on the shelf. how the hell would u sell a game when theres 10 empty plastic containers?

    He offered me a refund, but i insist on buying something for 10bucks, I then asked him, what about 3DS Sims3, he checked computer and said he will go in and talk to his manager, wtf? came out told me Sim3 is a new game and its marked incorrectly. WTF? new game?, then i just went what about splinter, racer, starwars blah blah they were all 10bucks, he did not even try to look and just goes, sorry they are all sold out. WTF?

    BIGGEST SCAM EVER. BTW I WENT TO GEORGE STREET DICKSMITH.

    Was at Mentone Dicksmith 9am on the dot, the door opened up, almost nothing on the list was on sale. they had Logitech Stuff a few games but no on sale.

        Listing items does not charge a fee until it is sold, unless it is specified in the quantity section that there are 2 or more available.

    Despite all the flak this sale is getting it did provide some grade A entertainment.
    Got to see a few mums/wives get into a screaming match over the phone with their kids/partner when the called to say they didnt pick anything up.
    Gotta love the crowds these sales attract.

    Got a DSI at golden grove SA, and about 4 dsi games and 7 xbox 360 games, then went to TTP, nothing there, went to marion and got the last xbox 360 250gb hdd, someone must have missied it, it was in the cabinet at 12:30, got about 10 more games there, only got 1 dsi game at glenelg after that (because it was $1) and then came back through norwood and picked up active 2 for $5, not a bad day in all, but lots of driving!

      Do we know where the leak came from? And the Rep did actually come on here before the weekend confirming and "talking up" the deal. They saw the response they had online but still went ahead with little to no stock levels. They knew their stock would not meet the demand… sounds pretty dicky to me.

    This is bullshit. On their site they have all these games for $1 and $2 dollars, I went to the register and they showed as 10-20 each. The only thing I bought was RUSE for 5.

    Also, I was at the Plenty Valley store this morning, some guy bought 3(or 2) DSi's, the last ones ofc.

      Unsure if this game is even any good because it was on the shelf for a very very long time haha.

    Went to whitfords in Perth at 10.30 not expecting much to be left. Surprisingly there was a rack of marked down games (all cr@p) for $1, $2, up to $20. Found red dead still at full price ($50) so queried it with a staff member doing markdowns. Was told that the sales list (which he had in front of him) was for a sale starting April 11 and due to it being leaked they were only doing SOME markdowns to appease customers. He double checks and says it will be marked down next wk according to his list. Lots of stock of Xbox live/points etc and other stuff in store but not marked down. Now I read on perthnow.com.au that DS corporate say it is on today for everything. Yeah, bullsh…

    Why can't I neg this deal after revoking my positive??

      Staff at the store I went to in SA said Red Dead isnt on sale till next week too.
      As for xbox card, only the old stock with old packaging were on sale.
