        • Prices on the Dell webiste without ebay I see as lower….
          Just sayin.

      • +1

Didn't Jack and Dell go up the hill?

  • +1

What time does it start @dealbot?

    • +2

      • Thanks mate.

    • +2

Are you serious? Is there such thing called @dealbot?

      • +2

        Name of OP mate

      • +13

        its an AI (artificial intelligence)

He scours the web and world finding us the best deals and all we gotta do is provide him power and the occasional compliment.

        • +4

And he is coming from the future. His Post always 3-4 days ahead.

    • Seriously? Negged for asking a legitimate question?

      • Welcome to OzBeQuietUntilBulliesLeaveTheRoom. You’ll get used to it.

  • Basically you get a 4GB GPU, but compared to the recent deal Lenovo…you get a worse screen, less HDD, less ram etc

How much is a ram upgrade on a Dell?

    • ideapad’s ram are soldered while you can just install your own stick with the g15. G15 also have a spare m.2 slot so you can install another nvme drive while using the stock 256gb as a boot drive. 3050-even if its just a 3050 is still a fair bit better than the intergrated one on the ideapad.

Of course just for the screen and weight alone, the ideapad is far better as far as an office machine is concerned. It depends on what you prefer.

      • Yeah, but add more HDD & ram and the costs keep going up too
Different laptops for different purposes anyways

      • FYI on the SSD upgrade, to install the extra m.2 SSD in the G15 you need to purchase another bracket + screws + heatsink, this isn't included OOTB and Dell Support will not cover the parts under warranty (or Premium warranty for that matter)

        • Are you sure? My mate got his for free through CS, granted it’s an Alienware machine but it’s still under dell and as far as I know he didn’t got extra warranty.

    code not work…

lol jk, I know its for tomorrow 🤡

    • Wish there were more like you mate, seems too many peps these days who seriously don't check the date before complaining loudly about the code not working.

      • +3

        code not work.

          You're right it's PSLDELL

Though the acer nitro 3060 for $200 more is a surer bet

  • +1

    Any monitor 32inch included?

  • Doesn't RTX 3050 perform poorly for games?

    • Go for 3060

    • +1

Yes it trade blows with a 2 generation old 1660ti.

but this also only cost 998$ so if money is absolutely a concern this is not a bad deal.

        • Uncle Roger u don't need a laptop, get a wok instead.

          • @WIND: He needs a calendar 1st. Roger that?

    • +1

Isn't spongbob alternating caps default for /s on the internet these days? I assume it was 100% universal.

  • -5

The recent Lenovo and Acer deals are better. Sorry

    • Define ‘better’.

Yes there are probably hundreds of machines better than this but they also cost more. Would one get a much better experience if they spent a few extra hundred dollars? For sure.

However, I think this is a killer deal if your budget is only 1k. For those with kids who want to play fornite and minecraft, or those want a simple machine for csgo and val. This will do them great.

        better - adjective

        • There's nothing better than a long soak in a hot bath.
        • If you can only exercise once a week, that's better than nothing (= better than taking no exercise at all).

        (2) more suitable or appropriate

    • Probably a computer or monitor with extra warranty for a user.

    • 71% discount.
Don't care what it is but I want one!

    • The sales guy was drunk before left for the day.

    Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (5800H, RTX 3070 140W, 16" WQXGA IPS 165hz 500nits 100% Srgb, 32GB, 1TB) $2,639.20 Delivered @ Lenovo eBay

Now a bit regret, may be should wait for i9 gen 12900h

    • You can still refund, its only being a day isnt it?

However, you should know that while the 12900hk will be stupidly powerful, it will also be stupidly expensive. You basically arent going to find any laptop with the 12900hk within at least 1k or even 1.5k of the l5p 3070 deal. If you are prepared to spent what I would imagine about 3.5k to 4k minimum, than just keep the l5p.

Or you can wait for 12700h laptops, still would crush every chip this gen, but a fair bit more affordable.

      • I told them cancel the order immediately, and they confirmed with me over the phone and say gonna send email once done, later on this arvo I received email it has dispatched… arrive 17/12…

If you want to send it back they bloody rip you off for 20% restocking fee which is approx $500, thus they force you to keep it… just sayin…

I just build a pc on that level, was planning get a laptop that level too. I knew these laptop are all overkill, but there is old saying buy new gen rather than old.

just for productivity wise, I am happy with 12900hk with minimal or no 3070, just for work, so screen, big ram and m2 will do for me, of course decent battery life..

Donno whats gonna be, I will try send it back without paying extra 500, or come to the worst I just keep it then.

any of these deal are not as good as officeworks deal which I was hesitated then bought later end up refunded….

        • Once the money is in their hand, kiss it goodbye. They are not honest.

          • @Romper Stomper: not impressed by their after sale compare amazon or even ebay…
I just have a little higher expectation for a large company like lenovo…
footlocker or nike i think even offer free return these days.

        • I'll buy it off you for 81% of your purchase price :P

  • +1

I ordered a monitor from them during the last sale and it arrived open… A little odd, but it looked brand new and everything inside seemed sealed, so kept it.

Just something to keep an eye on.

    • +1

      They love people like you.

      • +1

I left negative (but polite) feedback and they blocked me from their eBay store… I'm currently trying to resolve that with them.

    • +1

      Ditto. I bought a s2722qc last time

      • That's the exact same model I bought.

    • +1

May have been to change the power adaptor/kettle cord.

      • I thought so too, but they didn't even tape it back up… It was just torn open.

        • -1

Work experience kids. Company gets what they pay for haha

  • Does Dell have any HDMI 2.1 monitors with g-sync?

    • Freesync Premium and Premium Pro are Gsync compatible also.

  • Should I get the 5 year premium warranty for $20 per monitor? Anyone recommend it?

    • +2

No, that's what your statutory warranty is for. The $20 is just them finding a way to charge people for their rights.

  • +1

    Hopefully, we'll see xps 13 2 in 1 for 1.5k again. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/666680

    • I got the XPS, it's fast and has a nice bright screen. However, the keyboard is bad, almost no key travel, feels like typing on keys drawn on your desk surface. Not good st all for such an expensive laptop.

  • Dell monitor quality has really become poor. I purchased a monitor which was faulty and the after sales support is useless even after returning the item its an ordeal to get refund.

I’d highly recommend considering other brands.

    • Was in one of their S line monitors?

      • It was S2722QC model

    • +1

      I'll second that.
Does the S stand for shit?

      • Yes, I believe it does LOL

  • I'm eyeing this one: Inspiron 15 5510 Laptop 11th Gen i7-11390H 16GB RAM 512GB SSD Iris Xe Win11

    Currently listed for 1498.75.

    Any thoughts on this?

  • I can't believe that the XPS 8940 desktop that I bought a year ago with the 3070 is cheaper than the current 20% off deals!

    • I don't think the 3070 version with the 11th gen CPU has been less $1900. The one with the 10th gen was as low as $1789. But this system with an 11th gen and a 3060ti comes to $1699.

  • I literally bought the s2721dgf this Wed…

  • how good is the "
    G15 5515 Gaming Laptop AMD Ryzen 5 5600H 8GB 256GB RTX 3050 - New"? is it work 960$ odd bucks?

Looking at getting my nephew a present for his birthday/xmas. thoughts?

    • +3

I've had it for 2 or so months now, I feel for a 1080p laptop it does exactly what I wanted it to do especially cause it has a 3050, it plays esports style games like LoL, Apex, Rocket League, Fortnite etc quite well. Runs minecraft like a dream if thats important, and It runs Destiny 2, Elite Dangerous, Need for Speed Heat, F1 2021 decently.

I got it when it was between $800-$900 when it was in previous sales, I still think for a budget laptop this ticked the boxes for me, deep down I wish the 3060 or 3060ti variants were around this price because it will perform better but it is what it is.
I upgraded the RAM (Stock 8GB > 16GB) and placed another SSD (1TB) into when I got it though, as the 256GB is essentially its boot drive, and youll need the extra storage, upgrading it was quick and easy as well even when you watch a quick guide.

Temperature wise as all gaming laptops are they like to cook themselves, CPU will run at 95 degrees and GPU around 90 when I play on it.

  • wasn't this dell 27 inch s2721dgf qhd monitor $395 with plsdell on black friday

    • The price varies between deals, I've purchase it 3 times this year, and lowest I got it for was $379

      • +1

ye seems jack has said hello

  • At this price for S2721DGF, should I just go for the recent LG 27GN850 deal instead?

    • They are the same panel … so "fundamentally" I guess is the extra $20 + shipping worth the optional extra's that you get ??

  • how does the Dell 34" inch curve monitor compare to the xiaomi 34" one?

    • Lower refresh rate (100Hz vs 144Hz), narrower colour gamut (99% sRGB vs 121%), one less DP input, way better warranty coverage.

      • isn't this one also 144hz?
        Dell 34 Curved Gaming Monitor – S3422DWG AMD FreeSync Premium Pro WQHD 144 Hz(ebay.com.au) - $549

interested to know if this dell has flickering issue like the xiaomi one

        https://www.google.com/search?q=xiaomi+34+flickering&oq=xiao…

      • agree 100%. you also get USB ports which can be powered even when monitor is off, very useful
