½ Price Assorted Ozito PXC 18V Skins (eg 18V LED Worklight $27.48) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Bunnings

4710

Looks like Bunnings have finally come to the party and cut the prices on many 18V PXC skins to match Mitre 10's Rockwell deal. Will update as I find them.

Really wanting the jet blower and garden shears but they're not discounted yet.

The hammer drill kit comes with a 2.5ah battery so is excellent value!

18V Radio $29.50 was $54.90
18V Jigsaw $32.50 was $64.98
18V Hybrid Inflator $49.50 was $94
18V Workshop blower $26.98 was $49.90
18V Buffer $39.98 was $79.95
18V Multi function tool $34.50 was $49.98
18V Brushless Hammer Drill Kit $87.50 was $149
18V LED Torch $12.48 was $24.99
18V Orbital Sander $32 was $63.98
2.5ah Battery and charger $61 was $69.98 - Unsure if this was discounted earlier or is part of this sale. Better off getting the hammer drill kit above IMO

PXRSS-400? Standing in Fairfield store now. $32.50. 1 left on the shelf.

      • ohhh can you tell me what is the product number so I can call stores in WA?

  • Anyone able to find a ozito/einhell adaptor to Milwaukee batteries? Wouldn't mind printing a few of these but only seem to find ozito to makita

  • +1

Notting Hill pretty much cleaned out of everything, except the Radio. I was half tempted, as it would get some limited use. Is it worth it for $29.50?

    • +2

Nope, you will probably never use it if you have to ask

    • Yes only things left on the shelves are not on special!

  • +1

There are still a few items that are in the Rockwell sale but not matched by Bunnos yet.
So the big question is: are we going to see round 3 tonight?

  • +2

    Welcome to.. [Ozito]Bargain.

    • Get the brushless one from the OP. Smaller battery, better tool, better price.
That one is retail price according to Powerpass

      • Thanks!

  • Anyone know if any Ryobi one gear will get sales like this?

    • From memory they only do when new models are imminent

  • +4

Got to Bunnings today and my main man handed me the 165mm circular saw and the detail sander. The saw scanned at the original price but I just played dumb and eventually (went back and took a photo of the tag) they got bored and gave it to me for $39. Then they went and pulled the tag off the shelf lol.
Click and collected the orbital and the worklight tonight.

    Thanks OP good bargains.

  • Well that was kind of Bunnings. Placed click&collect order yesterday got refund notification today as out of stock

    • Yes, my order also got cancelled yesterday. Still waiting for another order from a different Bunnings store but not too optimistic now.

    • +3

I was talking to a few stores yesterday and most only have one person packing online orders and in most cases they only do it once a day in the morning. So anyone that walks in the store till your order gets picked will get the item. Pretty crap system.

    • This happened to me earlier with the circular saw, and again with the worklight yesterday with one store. Even though the store indicated in stock in both cases. I was fortunate to get the worklight from another store but no such luck with the circular saw.

Thanks OP, just recently joined the PXC ecosystem.

Advice for anyone wanting stock that is out of stock.
Head down to the special orders counter, place an order and the stock will come in for you within 2 weeks.
I was after the inflator but was out of stock everywhere. I had no issue ordering it. Had the option for a deposit or pay in full.

    • +1

thats good advice. Did you try to get the black battery that is out of stock?

      • What's the black battery?

    • Which store was this at? I tried at a few stores and none of them took special orders for items not in stock. Thanks

      • +2

        This was craigieburn.
The jigsaw which was end of life couldn't be ordered. However the inflator and work light could be ordered in as it's still a current line

        • +1

Cool, seems like an exemption, I tried a few stores in SE suburbs and all said they do not take special orders for items they stock but is currently out of stock. Thanks

    • Bunnings Staff told me that they were end of line (Brushless Drill in my case) and no further orders being placed hence the clearance sale. Perhaps certain items like the "Inflator" are current and more arriving?

  • Damn my online order was just cancelled due to “no stock” despite me putting it through Thursday. Pretty annoyed I missed this one while having to stay home with COVID :(

    • My local gets ozito delivery Wednesday, still in promo period

      • When is the promo period?

        • The Rockwell deal that they're matching goes until the 15th from memory so I'd say it will expire then.

Call the special orders desk and get them to order whatever skins you want/need

  • Thanks for sharing! Got the hammer drill at Wallsend and required a lot of self control not to get the $150 combo with the impact instead

  • Ordered on Friday morning, received notification on Sat morning out of stock. However the store I purchased from still has limited stock. So as others have mentioned, I suspect they want us in store.

    • Did you go to the store and see the "limited stock". I only ask as their website shows as e.g. Stock Avail and yet the store has none. Two days later site still shows as "Stock Avail" hence they don't seem to update the site.. Such a waste of time going there based on their Websites stats.

      • The website said limited stock, so I called and they said they did had it (but I suspect they're going by the website).

  • +1

Bought 5 Ozito tools in 3 days. For 2 items they have to use the cherry picker to find extra stock.

Too bad the hand vacuum isn't on sale.

  • I was in there today to grab another bargain.
    and…

Today is the last day for these prices, so if you want anything, today is your last chance at these prices.

    • +1

I thought the tickets said 11/5?

      • I really hope she is wrong, but that is what she said to me.

  • Anyone have any info on why Bunnings dont seem to stock the PXC recip saw? I would have thought that is one of the more common tools required in a cordless system.

    Grabbed:
Brushless hammer drill with fast charger and 2.5ah battery.
    Multi tool
    Random orbital sander.
Cordless blower with slow charger and 2.0Ah battery.

All up about $220. Pretty good deal.

Would grab the $12 light if i could find one.

    • I was looking for one too - an electric hacksaw. It could be because they just don't have any, or a new model is coming out.

    • +1

Would grab the $12 light if i could find one.

For $12 it is a bargain. I can confirm having scored one.

    • I also had this question, but then when I turned up in store they indeed had it (but well out of stock). It's not listed on the website so I'm not sure if they regularly stock it.

  • Anyone can provide advice on what is the best drill bit set for the ozito brushless hammer drill?

  • A question for those that picked up the Ozito Brushless Hammer Drill.

I was testing it today with a fully charged 4ah battery (I tried multiple batteries). It seems to be lacking any real torque/grunt. When set to high speed (2) if I hold the chuck with my hand I'm easily able to stop it from spinning. This is with the torque set to full (20) and on all three settings (screw/drill/hammer). When this happens the light on the drill starts to flash and it loses all power.

If I set it to low speed (1) it is a much lower speed but I'm not able to stop it with my hand. It seems to only really affect the High Speed setting.

I tried drilling through some pine with a new/sharp 25mm spade bit and it wouldn't let me get more than a mm before the drill completely stopping.

Seems faulty to me but thought I'd check with others before returning it as I know stock is limited at the moment.

    Thanks

    • Haven't tried my one yet. Will give it a go tomorrow though.

Edit: Gave holding it a go. If it isnt spinning i can hold it and stop it spinning up. If it is already spinning not sure i could stop it. I think that's probably as designed for brushless. I'll try a spade bit tomorrow.

      • tried the same with my fatmax 18v drill and it was much the same (except i could smell hot electronics so , lol oops. )

        • 24mm spade bit (of questionable quality) into hardwood was no problem.

    • +1

It's got a max of 50Nm torque, which will be in low gear, no idea what it is rated to in high speed but I'd imagine it's quite low.
For some reason many of their other brushless drills have 55N but in comparison, trade quality like Bosch blue hammer drills are 75-110Nm.

I'd have thought it only limits the torque in driver mode, not drill or hammer?

    • +1

Seems faulty. I have one from the previous deal and I can't replicate that exactly. Perhaps worth waiting to swap it under warranty once the current sale finishes.

On gear setting two, with a cold drill and fresh battery, I can't stop the chuck by hand at full power when spinning, and it is quite hard to stop from a standstill. Holding it in a more rigid manner (spade bit and adjustable wrench so it doesn't even start to spin even a little) seems to make it cut out more easily, but once it can start spinning a bit then I pretty much can't stop it. I can get it to stop at speed using a large soil auger. No flashing lights when it stops though in any of these cases.

If I hold it from a standstill and I only give it a small amount of power, I can stop it but it just cuts out - no flashing lights. It seems it has protection to cut it out if not spinning, even at low power. It needs the motor running for cooling, so that is no surprise.

Once the drill is hotter, or the battery a bit flatter, I can easily stop it by hand when starting from a standstill but not when spinning. But again no flashing light. Mine doesn't cut out when using a spade bit to drill unless I push hard and get it to bind up.

Stopping it by hand seems to be about being able to hold it rigidly enough it can't start spinning much at all, so the controller cuts power because of the no spin state. And so cold/fresh batteries gives enough extra power to get it to break the grip and spin a little when held in the hand. With a hot drill / flatter battery, it has less power available and is much easier to trigger that no spin cut out. The temperature of the motor and/or controller does seem to make a difference to how aggressive it is at cutting power, but it also appears to be from the battery voltage dropping too low under load.

Perhaps your drills protection system is just a bit overeager….

      • Thanks

I found a Bunnings semi local that had the led light I wanted and they also had the hammer drill. So I bought both and will swap my drill. Will let you know how I go.

        Cheers

I reserved a ozito hammer drill but when we got there, it was apparently sold out. The guy made up for it by giving us a ryobi hammer drill kit instead for the same price as ozito ($87.5). Made my ozbargainer day.

You are lucky as they don't normally set aside clearance items, I tried but the person I got on the phone wouldn't. I wasn't fussed so didn't force the issue.
It was all a learning experience for next time when there is a big clearance sale.
      a) never order "pick up" as they take days for them to check and after around 3 days only then notify you it's sold out and then refund.
      b) never trust quantity levels noted on their website.

Great place Bunnings but their Website stock levels and Click and Collect is poor.

Great place Bunnings but their Website stock levels and Click and Collect is poor.

To be fair, anything that requires Bunnings staff input is poor. Can't find anyone around when you need to ask for an item…

        • Their staff went to crap when covid hit. And being pushed into self-checkout. In store service is non existent. What-little staff are around, busy with each other - ignoring customers.

      • +1

None of this is clearance btw, they are just matching an offer at mitre 10.

  • +1

Some stuff back in stock at Cannon Hill e.g. Circular saw, inflator etc. Last day apparently.

    • Thanks - I have heard a few different stories about the end date. FWIW the Mitre 10 sale that they are matching goes through to the 15th

    • I noticed yesterday that a handful of stores were flush with stock again.

Took 6 different visits to eventually get what I needed (gift for family)

My experience with Ozito is mixed - I bought a 240v hammer drill in 2017 to strip tiles though out my house during a reno. The drill was almost entirely used as a handheld jack for the project. After about 3 weeks of constant use, the chuck became sloppy developing and lot of movement. So I went back to Bunnings and within 5 minutes I was walking out with a new one. I used that for the next 3 weeks and it did the same even though I completed the reno so I went back to Bunnings and got another one. Again, 5 minutes in & out with a new for old drill (this one was an updated model) - so my take is as everyone knows, Ozito is no Milwaulkee as it wont take hard commercial use but Bunnings just replace em as soon as you ask. AS usual with Bunnings, they're an awesome company to deal with - staff cant help you enough.

Went in to grab the grinder and saw they had the 165 circular saw for $38. Turns out it scanned at $99 but they still put it through at the sale price.

    • Nice. I went into the Epping VIC store yesterday. None of the tags had the discounted price, even the ones they had stock for.

  • Still on sale according to the Bunnings website. For anyone who missed out, some items are back in stock at various locations.

    • +2

The orange Sale tag said sale ends Sunday. Went to a 2nd Bunnings and found plenty of Worklights.

  • +1

I’ve just come from the Melton Bunnings. They have re-stocked a lot of the Ozito tools that are half price. There are several of both inflators, multi tool, workshop blower, detail and the random orbital sanders and the little radio.

I had a click and collect for the 165mm circular saw and just purchased the blower and the random orbital sander.

    • +1

Agreed. Same at several Bunnings yesterday in SE Vic suburbs

    • +1

Thanks, grabbed 3 more to add to the pile.

      • No worries at all.

  • Thanks OP. Grabbed the Multi tool, work light and inflator. Had to pay $10 delivery cause I’m in iso but still a good deal nonetheless.

  • waiting for them to discount the trimmer kit to match rockwell

    • +1

Not going to happen, Rockwell sale ends today so this deal will also

  • I finally signed up to Powerpass, is there any way to check actual stock levels? I can only see whether things are In Stock or low stock? I thought you could see exact stock levels in the app :/

    • +1

No, Powerpass doesn't show item stock levels, only if there is or isn't as you say.
Someone developed a stock checker on here a while back but it stopped working :(
Every now and then someone comments on Bunnings posts with stock levels so there must be some way of making it happen
