They don't price beat coupon codes.

      • Good to know. Thanks

    • how u pay for $819.10?

May I know if pen is bundled inside?
I saw in review video it is in, but it is not mentioned in jb hi-fi website

      • Unfortunately not included, unlike the few US models I bought over the last few years.

    • Hi
Can you please tell me the steps you followed to purchase it for 809.10
I am not an expert ozbargainer , but it would be great if I can buy it at that price. Thanks

      • Note that these deals expire tonight.

        1. Go to JB Hifi and confirm that you can get stock with delivery or locally with click and collect. Try the code "92FRENZY" at checkout to get the right price. For me this was $899.

        2. Go to giftz.com.au and purchase a 'home' eGift Card for the exact amount you need to pay for the laptop (eg, $899 or a bit more if you need delivery). The Click Frenzy Mayhem Sale will automatically reduce the price you need to pay by 10% and you should be able to purchase it for $809.10.

        3. You'll get the eGift Card via email and you can use it to complete your payment with JB HIFI.

Beware that it could take a few hours to get your eGift Card. The website says it's usually received within minutes but mine took about 4 hours. I think the 92FRENZY code expires tonight so don't delay! You can still use the giftcard after this time but you won't get as sweet of a deal. If the price goes up, you won't have enough on your gift card. I'm not sure if you can do part payments online, you might need to go instore or call up to process the payment if the giftcard (which is actually like a credit card) does not have enough.

Bought one for 899 - gift card thing was a bit risky as time left was very less. Thanks

If only it had a spare DIMM slot…

  • The screen on this laptop is quite yellow. Even color calibration didn't help. A quick search online suggests that this is common with this laptop. I think I am returning it.

    • Is it too bad ?
I was about to buy it but I don't like yellow screens at all. Any views ,mate ? I couldn't find much online ( probably I am bad with Google /search engines )

      • It's quite bad, you can tell it straight away, and even with calibration you can still tell. I suggest you not to buy it if you do a lot of colour-related jobs. I returned it.

        • Thanks for the reply.
I don't do color related job but I hate yellowish screen for sure. Not so sure if it's too much ? Like for watching movies /stuff during travel - would it make a difference ?
          Thanks

          • @Rajve: I think it would be very annoying. I am planning to pay few more hundreds and get something else that doesn't have this issue. It's not exactly a cheap laptop and you want to be happy with it.

        • How was the return process with JB Hifi?

          • +1

@Handymancan: Sat with the guy for about 15 minutes while he tweaked all the settings. Then he agreed that I could return it but had to wait around until the whole laptop was factory-reset. It was about 1 hour + but pretty easy.

I just picked up this laptop. I read this comment and thought, what? Then the updates finished and windows booted. Wow, yellow! Then I realised that it was the gross default theme. I changed it and I can't notice any yellowing. Perhaps Banana has a dodgy one or is just more in tune with slight colour inaccuracies due to his work.

Here's a picture: https://ibb.co/Sdcc41Y The rest of the room is yellow due to sunset but the screen isn't.

While I'm here, the extra 10% through Giftz is sensational but beware that it took nearly 4 hours to get my giftcard 'reviewed'.

That's good to hear! Mine was very obviously yellow and calibration didn't help (tried it in store with the salesperson as well). I previously had another Lenovo with the same issue and after sending it back to the Lenovo center a couple of times they ended up refunding the whole lot. It's a great laptop for the price so I am glad it worked out for you!

    • Banana has a yellow screen laptop…
Are you sure there isn't some sort of protective skin that needs to be peeled off?

      • Have you used this laptop ?

    • Mine's normal. You wouldn't have Night light turned on by accident, would you?

      • Nope, we looked through all the settings. It was just really yellow.
