Use of the Voucher

Voucher issue. Voucher Conditions. The Voucher entitles you to $80 off the pre-coupon purchase price (excluding postage costs) of item(s) listed on eBay.com.au, except on the Excluded Items, with up to 10 items per transaction during the Validity Period.

      I did this too and then showed will have 1 month trial. Yesterday noticed getting more offers to join Plus so checked with ebay. Told I have not activated the offer, nothing can be done. More offers will be coming. Lesson don't trust ebay offers follow up before they expire.

      Up above it says this in the T&C:

      the Voucher will be issued to Your eBay.com.au account within 10 days of successful payment of your annual eBay Plus membership, starting from 21 November 2022. For the avoidance of doubt, if you signed up to an eBay Plus 30 day free trial, you will not receive the Voucher until your eBay Plus membership renews to an annual paid membership.

      So we still have like another month to go before they start sending it out.

        Is that a contradiction in the terms and conditions?

        Deal starts 14/10/2022. If you make successful payment on day 1, 10 days later is 24 Oct 2022.
        21 Nov 2022 though, is outside the 10 days.

        So there's no way to issue a voucher "within" 10 days of successful payment, if you take up the deal in the first 25 or so days.

        I'd thought the T&C said October, which would then make sense.
        You can then be paid within 10 days of successful payment, but not before the 21 Oct 2022.

          I’m assuming what it means is if you signed up on or before the 11th of November you’ll get the voucher on the 21st but if you signed up on the 12th of November you won’t get it until the 22nd, and so on.
          So 10 days after you sign up but not before the 21st.

          Would this be your third eBay Plus account (in order to take advantage of this $80 voucher offer)?

          Have you tried contacting a CS agent to determine why their arbitrarily cancelled your Plus membership?
          Although they are entitled to, it just seems a bit heavy handed. I have read some folks here have up to 8 eBay accounts without any issues.

    How is this clause allowed, morally wrong and feels like it should be illegal as misleading advertising…

    Cancellations. If you redeem the Voucher and the transaction is subsequently cancelled, the value of the Voucher will not be refunded to you and the transaction will still be considered a redemption under clause 10.

      Yeh it is really dodgy. I had an order I had to return as it was faulty ages ago and I used a $40 ebay plus voucher to partially pay for it. Only got back the actual amount I spent and the voucher wasn't reissued. I did speak to CS about it and they issued me with a new voucher, but was an effort. So I suggest only using the voucher on something from a reputable seller on an item you have no intention of returning

      I think it's been pulled now. T's and C's say offer lasts while visible on site. My banners have all come down and it no longer appears in my accepted offers seller page.

      Wouldn't risk signing up now if you haven't already.

    I haven't got it yet, I was previously on monthly $5 but signed up for that just before promo and then asked support whether I'd get the $80 if i switched to annual during promo period, and they said yes eligible.

    Just messaged support and they said I should get it within 10 days of 21st November. Not sure whether I believe that but we'll see… support staff again confirmed my eligibility so maybe it's within 10 days of 21st.
