mycar at Brandon Park, Vic have confirmed the annual Black Friday deal is returning this Friday 25 November 2022. (Update: mycar Brandon Park removed the deal page.)

On Friday 25 November 2022 book (a) online or by telephone with mycar between 12.01am AEDT and 11.59pm AEDT or (b) in store with mycar between 8.00am AEDT and 5.30pm AEDT for the purchase and fitment of any in stock Pirelli tyres and receive a discount of 50% off the recommended retail price of those tyres (Offer Tyres).

Offer Tyres must be booked to be fitted on a date between Monday 5 December and Saturday 17 December 2022 or between Wednesday 4 January and Tuesday 31 January 2023. If Offer Tyres are fitted outside of these fitment periods, the full cost of all the tyres in the transaction will be payable.

    Waited on the phone for an hour and 40 mins before getting my booking in. Got quote emailed & it says this down the bottom which is a bit concerning.

    Website is known to be having issues, would suggest just dropping into a nearby store / calling up other stores to see if they will price match.

    I am at mycar marrickville and there's no queue at all here. all tyres are in stock and they can fit them out today as well. The offer is active and mine are being fitted right now. Perhaps easier to go to a mycar shop if you can spare the time.

      Nah, that has been happening since 4am. It's just the website struggling.

      I gave up and called. Had to wait nearly 2 hours on hold but eventually got through and booked the tyre change without issue.

    Rang my local. He could see I paid full price and said a refund of the difference is no problems. Tyres are not in stock for me at his store but will come in early next week and I can get fitted whenever I like after that

    Anyone had any chance talking to Mycar about paying the full price for the tyres in the first hour of the offer? before they got that fixed at 1:00am.
    Are they going to refund the difference? as it was their website issue.

    Successful booking over the phone after 1 hr 40 mins. 235/45/17.

    They confirmed verbally that the discounted price will be paid, regardless of the autogenerated 'price valid for 7 days' line.

    So I went in-store and made a booking for 06-Dec, the guys did tell me I'm getting the sale price but didn't ask for payment just yet and said that I can pay on the day of the fitting. I really hope that come the day of the fitting, they don't charge full price. Any one else had a similar experience? Do we just need to book today and have them fitted in the dates mentioned in the T&C's and they will honour the 50% off?

      I am also coming back from Mycar outlet.
      The guys helped me with booking and sent a payment link. They have explicitly asked me to make payment today to avail the offer.
      They will place the tyre order once I make the payment.
      But the issue with payment link is its directing me to mycar website where the waiting is huge.

    tried online order with multiple browsers (cant add into cart) and phone calls to local store and 131328 simultaneously for 2-3 hours. no luck. sent my wife to local store to get all sorted within 5 min.

    To save people time and a trip in traffic, I just drove to my local mycar and they can't make the booking for you! Was told if they book for me I can't get the pirelli discount and some other gift card. I would have to ring up the booking centre or keep trying online. He said the whole system was f'd. Not sure if this was just this branch not wanting to make on the spot Pirelli bookings or not…

      Hmmm, different experience for me as they made the booking for me but wouldn't take payment as they said it can only be paid on the fitting day but still on sale prices, which I am now very much doubting.

        Maybe best to try call up later today. At least you already have the booking time. Actually I should have asked him to do that. Just make the booking first and then call up later and get call centre to change the booking

    failed and not working. Went to the store. They booked me and sent me sms invoice to pay online today only. The invoice link on sms still pointing to the same queue on website. They are not accepting payment in store. They are sticking with "online only" offer. It's strange.

        I paid right then and there. Got an invoice saying I paid the total (sale) price which I will take with me when I get them fitted. They said the tyres should be there by afternoon, but I will most likely go on Monday to get it done.

    Just tried Jax Burleigh QLD. I asked if they'd match the Pirelli deal going at MyCar. I didn't mention that it states that they'll do it on their website. The guy on the other end says that they have been given some room on prices and takes my details to ring me back after he has more information. YMMV when ring Jax. Could be store specific that they weren't aware of the deal?

    On Wednsday I rang MyCar to see about this deal, they said I had to ring Friday, but they sent me a quote on the tyres I was after via email (P Zero PZ4s @ $725) a tyre. Today I rang my local Jax store. They were happy to match but needed the price off the website and could not get through to the website. I gave them the info from the quote I had. He was able to do the order at 50% off the quote I had. I have my car booked in next week and got the 50% off. Unfortunately my car takes a very expensive tyre size, so this deal is a great offer for me. I am going to have more fun with this set knowing they were half price! :-)

    Guys I need some help…I am after size 215/55/17. Initially local bob jane matches the Pirelli offer but call back advising they can't do that for Pirelli but can do 50% off for Dunlop, he can throw wheel alignment with it as well. question is dunlop is better than Pirelli or something?

      Depends on your car, use case scenario (ie, commuting vs off roading vs track days), and the specific tyre model quoted.

      In some cases, Dunlop may indeed be better.

          Probably won't make a difference for you then if you're just doing some general k's around town. But Pirelli are considerably better than Dunlop, from a general perspective.

          Without knowing any more details, I'd say that 50% off most Dunlop tyres is a good deal for your use case.

    Just went down to my local mycar, no line and booked straight in for 9th December for 4 tyres and a service ($100 off). Payment all to be sorted on the day. Definitely recommend heading down to your local store.

        To be honest, no they didn’t. But the guy was aware of the deal and specified the dates I had to have them fitted within. I would expect an email confirmation, but might give them a buzz later to confirm. This was waurn ponds.

    What are people's experiences like in terms of confirmation after making a phone booking?

    I supposedly made a booking for 9th December at the discounted price, but haven't had any email or SMS communication/confirmation.

    Figure I will just follow it up later when it isn't chaotic what times, but interested to hear if you are supposed to get one.

    Gotta be the stupidest way to do such a high demand sale - all on the one day. Would work a lot better and be easier for them - and make more sales if they did it over a week.
