Looks like someone got pretty excited with the front cover.

    • +5

Hahaha. Deals are so good he couldn't hold back lol

      • +1

I dont see any good deals in this page apart from the TV.

    • +10

Now it makes sense looking at the facial expression in OP's profile pic.

    • +1

      Huh where what?

    • Hahah made him sweat didn't it.. Lol

    • Nice 69 likes

      • +1

Negging so it gets back to 69 likes. Nothing personal brotha @gamemaster.

  • +1

Seems like the best price yet for these products

For the TVs at least, not quite.

    • ah thanks for pointing that out. hopefully other retailers prepare to price beat JB, so we can get JB to match their lower price and pay with discounted gift cards 😏

    • Videopro has the CS 55 at $1670 (C2 55 $2130) and the CS 65 @$2430 (C2 65 $3080)

      https://www.videopro.com.au/display/televisions/oled/?brand=…

At that price difference the CS seems pretty good. Sadly not anywhere near as good for the C2 as TGG last week.

Just seen the leaked catalogue for Boxing day deals at Jb hifi. Is it just me that thinks that there aren't any crazy deals? E.g Samsung galaxy watch 40mm was $199 on black Friday on these catalogue it's $299.

    • Yeah noticed that too

    • JB hifi is just small discounts as always

    • Where is the leak?

    • +2

The only good deals are the LG OLEDs really. Rest are meh. Hoping LG website will match prices so I can use my 30% off coupon from spin the wheel promo.

    • +1

I didn’t see anything amazing when I scrolled through last night.

    • Just saw…

  • Is there a better version of the catalogue anywhere? Trying to work out which Sony 85” TVs are on sale but can’t read the model numbers

    • +1

I can read the model numbers fine after a bottle of wine. I'm using Imgur native app, it allows me to zoom in? If you can zoom in you need to go Specsavers 👍

      • +6

Hmm haven’t tried the app will check. Perhaps I don’t need the quality of tv I think I do

        • +4

Given your nickname, I'm thinking a lovely 77" LG or Sonty oled is your destiny!

          • +1

@SoTightEcoLPI: Ha. Well I’ve learnt tonight that the Imgur app is so much better than just using safari.

      • +1

can read it after two bottles!

    • Few QLED and Full Array. Only the 83" LG Oled but its not a good price IMO

    • It's the x90k, as that is the only full array 85" model

    • Match up the RRPs in the catalogue with the prices on the website.

  • A95K 65” finally on sale? Wow just bought last week.

Can’t read the catalogue I think I need glasses.

    • +4

Can’t read the catalogue I think I need glasses.

try this - not as intuitive as imgur but at least its in HD

    • I can’t see this? Looks like the old standard Sony Oled?
I too am curious because I bought one last week.

      • A80K on sale that is on the catalogue

    • Is saw that too, looks a similar price but I think it's specified as an LED so not likely the A95k.

  • +2

I see tight ass basically offers nothing, no wonder they hoard up 15% off gc to boost deals

  • +2

Thoughts on the projector compared to the xiaomi 4k one?

    • Bit pointless it you can get an 85 inch for same price

      • you comparing 85 inch to 120inch ?

    • my dad got the xiaomi 4k for around $2500, the UI is a bit laggy and having issue connecting to an external sound system. Im going to buy the hisense. Spec is better with the hisense but doesnt go up to 150" like the xiaomi (i guess you can just move the projector back to get 150")

  • +3

    Still no LG C2.

    • I'm sad that I missed the last deal :(

    • +2

Be a new model at this rate

  • Bummed that I couldn't get any discounted gift cards during the Woolies/Coles deals

  • +4

Raw deals this boxing day but it's been that way the past 4 years. Better deals leading into Christmas than boxing day.

    S22 Ultra 128Gb for $1500?! I got $1379 for 256Gb months ago.

  • +6

Is anyone else seeing that gross koala with mushrooms growing out of it at the end of the catalogue?

    • +1

      Ruined my night.

    • +1

Lmao wtf I was about to say the same, so bizarre and mildly nightmare inducing.

    • Why did you have to make me look at 11PM…

    • JV

    • +3

This comment made me look for it. It didn’t show for me, which mildly disappointed me because I’m a weirdo.

Edit: I think I’ve managed to find it - enjoy the bizarreness, my fellow weirdos! :)

  • Any deals on drones

    • +1

There is a DJI drone mentioned. Dunno if it is a real deal. And 25% off Xero-X drones and accessories

      • +1

        Thanks

  • +4

Not really seeing the "Christmas deals" there seems to be better sales deals during Black Friday and EOFY.
Still some gems here and there…

    • Xmas and boxing days sales are scams. Look for deals all year around especially those you listed EOFY and black Friday. Admittedly even this year Black Friday sale was not great

Seems cost of living and inflation gone up and lesser deals

  • Can anyone make out what the exclusion is on the 25% off Logitech PC speakers?

    edit: Excludes Bluetooth Speakers

  • No more discount on DJI action 2 like Black Friday deal

  • Hows burn in going these days? Dad watches tv 13 hours a day or so…

    • +10

      Eyes or the OLED?

    • -2

Anything with static logos on for that long is a no go for any OLED. If hes not watching OLED in a dark room its not worth it anyway. 50/50 day and night then maybe, otherwise better off with LCD as OLED picture is only superior in the night time for most content.

      • Stop the misinformation about OLED's and bright rooms. Yes, it's not as good as mini-LED in a bright setting but it's feasible.

I have the 77-inch CS in my living room where it's quite bright with all the blinds up and it's fine.

        • +2

I had one too and it wasnt great with reflections, so made it my monitor. Its not misinformation just because you dont agree. If you have any type of black background or dark image on the screen its like a mirror. Throw in HDR on top and its not really a great image in a bright room. Both are meant for dark room viewing. Defend your TV all you want but in a bright lounge and LED will be better

    • I have a 3+ year old Pana OLED, in a bright room… Across the 3 TV's we have (LG n Sammy other two) it's by far the best picture quality and no burn in or whatever, with fire tv4k it's my go to TV for media.

  • +2

Aside of a very few deals, everything seems to be cheaper on Black Friday than Boxing Day nowadays.

I still have some friends that think the better deals are on BD.

  • Does anyone know the input lag of the projector (for gaming)?

  • -1

My olds are after an ~85" TV (to replace a 65"), I've been out of the market for awhile, what's the best vale for money model they should be looking at here - https://postimg.cc/1f2j9DSt

  • do you think 99dollar for 24months are good enough? or wait for better one? i need like galaxy s21 with 12months 99dollar deal… no more?

  • Well i was after a Tesltra phone plan but $99 over 24 months kind of sucks.
Would love somthing over 12 months with say a $500 card or discounted phone.
Might get lucky with a store only deal i guess…

    • +1

They had 69 for 12 for $400gc other day

    • Me too, I’ve been waiting for the same

  • +5

Man the CS deals with it's massively over inflated RRP with a saving of $1251 off should be illegal

  • Hisense L9G or nothing

  • I got the 65 inch LG CS during the Black Friday deals. Absolutely love it.

  • Zenbook OLED is what I need.

  • Is the JBL Bar 5.0 soundbar any good, compared to a Yamaha all-in-one soundbar? (YAS-109 or SR-B20A)

Not looking to get a soundbar with a separate subwoofer.

  • +1

    damn.

I hope some retailer comes through with the goods on the 83" C2.

Torn whether to purchase a 77" or 83" through "Boxing Day" sales or hold out and try my luck when on clearance.

I'd assume the 83" will be difficult to source during clearance period.

  • Any recommendations for a dash cam? Thinking that now is the time I finally splash on one. Front and rear cams.

    • +1

Guess bargainers favourite could be a go. Viofo A129 pro duo 4K. Get hardwire kit as well.

Have this and can vouch for quality of video. Specifically during eve/night.

  • +1

I bought a 65" cs oled last week at JB HIFI for $2700 during their 25% off LG sale.
Damn I should have waited— $2444 a great deal for this TV

    • +3

JB has a two week price guarantee, but you will have to brave the hour long waits until you get to the register lol

      • +2

I am of the belief when it is super busy like this, that they are more likely to honour stuff like this so they can move on to the next customer.

      • +1

        I didn't know that, thankyou.
I'll go see them on boxing day and see what they can do.
Would be awesome to get some back

      • +2

        Thankyou again @solidussnake.
Just went in to JB with the receipt and walked out with $360 from the difference.
        Awesome Xmas present
Also very happy with JB HIFI

        • +2

Thanks for the update love a good outcome, merry Xmas mate !!

  • What kind of standard warranty do you get with the LG CS? Worth getting extended warranty?

    • +1

I didnt bother. Jb "gave" a extra year, 2 years seems ok. The LG plasma TV it replaced lasted 15 years.

Altho the optical port on the back snapped off on first use (waiting for repair), so maybe the quality isnt what it used to be

      • Oh wow, an extra year is alright. Is that standard now or did you have to negotiate?
I wanted to buy the C2 during that good guys sale but had covid so couldn't make it to the shop. Planned to price match with jb

Tempted to just go with the CS…

        • +1

The salesman offered the extra year, but also pushed for the extended which was 10% of the price iirc.

Yeah - c2 would be nice for the slightly better brightness but for the price I could not see a difference - the CS does have a awesome picture quality

  • +1

Any idea if the Google Pixel 7 Pro will be on special for 256GB and 512GB as well instead of just the 128GB on the catalogue?

  • +2

Hope the LG C2 42” deal comes back with 1388

    • Same! I could use a new PC Monitor

  • Just bought the projector, any 120" ALR screen you can recommend?

    • +1

How's the quality if you've checked on the wall?

      • havent got it yet but my dad has the xiaomi laser projector, much better with the ALR screen

  • +1

    Prices are live now.
Any way to get some discounted jb gift cards atm or have all those deals expired?

    • Could give the forums a shot.. But many people selling gcs at 10% off when they themselves got the cards at 15% off

  • +1

Had LG OLED for 4 years, best TV I've ever owned.

  • +1

CS 65 is even cheaper again today $2385!
