Foxtel Now All Packs (70 Live Channels, over 50 Sports, 1000 Movies) $59 (Save $45) Per Month for 12 Months @ Foxtel

398

Hi Ozbargainers,

I know many people here either hate Murdoch or refuse to pay for TV (Although ironically a lot of those people still pay for 2-3 other streaming services).

Here is a good deal from Foxtel via their streaming service if you want the whole shabang.

You get every channel on the Foxtel Now platform and can utilize two streams simultaneously.

So, if you're shrood with your cash during these current economic times you can split the costs with a friend or family member… This would make it $29.50 each month or an average melbournians coffee expense each week.

The Foxtel now box can be very hit or miss (but get to integrate FTA channels) on its streaming performance but I've never had an issue streaming direct on an android TV.

Live HD TV channels stream at 720P while on-demand content goes up to 1080P

Not sure when the deal expires.

Hmm Netflix+Disney+Prime+Apple TV… or Foxtel. Lemme think about it for a minute. Lock in A Eddie.

    • What about Kayo?

      • Speaking of Kayo what is the cheapest way to get it as the NRL season is starting soon and the wife will be watching the netball off it as well

        • +1

Best way is to probably split it with either a mate or two or you can list it here in the classifieds section. That way ends up being $15/month (2 streams) or roughly $12/month (3 streams).

          • +1

@dins: There's always deals if you're a Telstra customer. Latest is 12 months of basic for $17.50/month for silver Telstra members. You can also stack discounted kayo/binge vouchers ~ 10% off

Edit: meant to reply to @southoz

            • @jtlaus: Last year I bought a $2 Telstra sim and put it in a spare phone to get it for $15 a month and not sure if it still works

        • I some how got a year free last May through ozbargain. Didn’t work for some but stuck for me.

        • Western Bulldogs membership for $220

        • +1

Get a St. George Amplify rewards credit card and get Kayo basic free for 12 months.

        • i got free kayo for 12 months with my telstra NBN deal.

      • +1

Also speaking of Kayo, the only reason I haven't made the switch is that you aren't able to record and only have a 2 hour rewind window. Are there any workarounds for this? Ideally I would be able to record whole golf tournament broadcasts and be able to watch them up to a week later.

        • who watches golf.. i rather watch paint dry

        • +2

Usually you can select Watch from start after an event has ended. I watch NBA up to a few days later

          • @Paul B: Interesting, reading online I assumed that wasn't possible. Maybe I'll use my trial and see if it works that way.

            • +1

@EBC: Yes check a trial because they have different licence agreements with other leagues and sports

        • Are you talking about Kayo? This has on demand replays which allow playback at 1.5x and double speed which allows you to breeze through golf rounds

          • @Biggiewu: That sounds like a great feature. What device are you watching Kayo on? And does the audio still play when you are watching at 1.5x speed?

        • You can just watch it later, the games stay on the platform

I can watch Freo Dockers from 2020 if I wanted to

        • +1

Same issue with foxtel now which I whore off a friend, if I get home and want to watch an nrl that finished recently, I have to wait for them to put it up in the various modes I can’t just watch it like the good old foxtel box

          • @Capitalshark: What's the delay usually like? Are we talking <24 hours or is it several days/weeks later?

            • @EBC: Up to a few hours, it’s like the news on 9Now, takes them an hour or so after it finishes to get it up for replays on the app

    • Disney family spot $25 a year and netflix family spot for $24 a year for me, others have gotten better/worse deals but it's usually around that much.

Using my friends prime account lol. Still a good deal if you split and want sports etc

      Hi Shap

Could you please inbox me a decent IPTV provider ?

Is it compatible with Chromecast or do you need a different box?

      Tyvm

    • +2

I would also be interested in decent provider recommendations. Last time I tried IPTV it was an unreliable mess

      • +1

i can help you , ping me , as long as you internet is solid stream is solid. I'm an IPTV user since 2015-16

you need an android box or firestick or something similar

        • I am interested to know as well. Thanks @SamyKn

        • would be keen too for a pm.

        • I can't PM you. Could you please ping me?

        • +1

I've been an off/on IPTV user for a while using a few different services. I mainly want to use it to get sport, and Australian channels have slowly become a thing - but I'm yet to find one which has Australian streams which don't continuously stop/start.

All the other channels on the service play just fine but as soon as I switch to something like Fox Cricket/League/Footy, it plays for 2 seconds, stops, and repeats.

        • Can you please pm me a good quality iptv service please? Thank you 😊

    • Keen to know what provider you would recommend.

  • +5

Does it include ads for $59?

    • For those who aren't shrood indeed :P

      • +7

        *shrewd

I couldn't let it go twice dood.

  • -3

Still too much. Fetch is where it's at.

  • Can existing members use this deal?

    • You can ask their live chat.

    • Surely you could just cancel and sign up again using a different email address?

    Foxtel No

  • Thanks op! So pricey but would be tempted to split idea.

  • +2

Hmm, do I pay for foxtel or pay for internet. Decisions decisions

    • +5

You would have to have both for this one. Foxtel Now is streaming only.

  • To each their own on Foxtel, I like it but being unable to record any shows absolutely ruins this deal for me, and any benefit of having Foxtel (dubious anyway)

      • Isn’t that for Foxtel not Foxtel now? By streaming box they mean it plays Netflix etc too.

        • Foxtel now is just streaming Foxtel so I'd assume you can use the iQ5 with Now

The sleek new iQ5 device features a simple plug and play set-up allowing customers to be streaming up to 50,000 hours of Foxtel content within minutes, with no cable or satellite installation required.

“This latest innovation requires no install, so subscribers can simply plug in and start streaming the best Australian and international sport, acclaimed dramas, blockbuster movies along with our selection of 100 live channels.

    720p!? Get outta here

    • +1

If you use Kodi you get 1080P on live TV, don't ask me what sorcery they used to make that happen.

      • Is that the one from the slyguy repo? Mine is 720p for live tv

  • +7

A few days ago it was $49 for 12 months for all packs. Price has gone UP, not down!

    • Woweee, should have posted that 😢

      • Was that price for months. Thought it was the new standard price.

    • -1

Poo. Should have posted it, for 24.50 a month I'd have split it with someone. If for nothing else, then as a (profanity) you to Netflix's recent bollocks.

    • +2

Negging for this very reason. It's increased in price, not decreased, and the live streams are only 720p (meaning the quality of sports is very soft compared to Kayo). It seems the sole function of Foxtel Now is to make a Kayo/Binge combo seem reasonably priced…

    • Yeah was about to write this too, $49 was the deal just previously!

  • +2

I’ve been getting free Foxtel for the past 6 months.. they were supposed to disconnect me back in July. I’m just hoping I still get it to watch Last of Us

  • Binge + sports

  • +1

I'll get Foxtel when the new movie they have gets advertised on OZbargain:-)

  • Thought that said $59 for 12 months and thought now that is a deal….

  • +8

    Yay pay for ads

  • +1

    lmaoo F

  • Do you get anything amazing out of this that's not included in buying kayo and binge separately?

  • Could someone (Shap08) please PM me a good IPTV provider? Do you use a fire stick??

Also, sorry I would have PM'd you but I only just signed up. :(

  • IPTV + Chromecast 4K + Tivimate

    • Where may I ask does one find or purchase a reliable IPTV package to run on Tivimate?

      Please PM :)

  • I know many people here either hate Murdoch or refuse to pay for TV (Although ironically a lot of those people still pay for 2-3 other streaming services).

honestly speaking no idea why people hate Murdoch, but i got no interest in getting ripped off for foxtel - for too long it had a monopoly over The TV/Sports sector lost most interest in Foxtel when the EPL went to Optus

    • +2

If you had to guess why do think people hate Murdoch?

    • +3

honestly speaking no idea why people hate Murdoch, but i got no interest in getting ripped off for foxtel - for too long it had a monopoly

Did you just answer your own question

      • not Murdochs fault people are dumb enough to pay 80-100 bucks a month for foxtel?

i mean i dont get mad at the local coffee shop for charging 6 bucks a coffee i just dont buy coffee from them?

        • +4

Except your local overpriced coffee shop doesn't lobby to make sure other coffee shops serve you shitty low quality coffee so it can stay in business.

          • +3

@[Deactivated]: Murdochs lobbies for its own interest every business does

            banks, insurance, professional sport etc

Murdochs business is inciting 'outrage' or 'fear' the fact people 'hate' Murdoch and some 'love' it is exactly what Murdoch media wants

ill give you an example i dont watch 'sky news' but the amount of people i know that hate it with a passion has me convinced the only people who 'watch it' are people that hate it….

but fair enough people are allowed to like and dislike what they want i think Murdoch media is 'meh' it has its place but there is good/bad journalism everywhere that includes the ABC which is tax payer funded

        • +5

People hate Murdoch for reasons that have nothing to do with Foxtel.

  • You had me at "Shrood".

  • +6

How has this shitty service not died yet? Also how cooked would you have to be to pay for a business that lobbied for shitty internet.

    • +2

      agree … (profanity) (profanity)

    • +1

Got a mate who's still in constant work installing the dishes. He says it's all old people.

  • +5

I'd rather chew on a rock than pay $59/month to watch ads.

  • +2

Would never want to support murdoch

  • +5

Murdoch has killed democracy and put LNP mates in charge here and the Tories in the UK. Society is crumbling over there. Plus it defaulted to that horrific and toxic Sky News biased vile when I did a trial.

    • -5

Put the tin foil hat away

Would make a good anti-skynews slogan

Plex Appbox is cheaper, more content, better quality, and illegal.

  • +4

Is this a repost from 2004

  • +2

…..and after 12mths they jack the price back up to where it was before any deals were offered.

    • If you fully cancel, they will ring back and reoffer it.
Oops sorry I thought this was proper foxtel

  • +1

Have access to Foxtel (just Foxtel Go, not Foxtel Now) permanently free through my uncle's account (has most channels including sports and movies), still very rarely watch anything on it though haha… but useful for something like live pay-tv-only NRL (haven't needed for a while because of the 1 year free Kayo).

  • +2

So everyone here on their high horse about Murdoch dont have (or wouldn't) get Kayo or Binge?

What do you do if you're into sports? Try your luck with reddit streams?

    • +2

The very intelligent and politically aware anti Murdoch people dont have time for sport or any binging. They are too busy trolling thru comments to tell us of their anti Murdoch stance coz, you know, we really care & are so impressed by their thoughts.
