Got an email explaining normal $500 trade-in bonus is now $800 with customer coupon code. Code looks unique so probably targeted.

Already got my S23 for a good price using Harvey Norman deal, so I don't need another one!

  • Looks like this isn't as straightforward as other Samsung deals in the past used to be. Might wait a little bit longer until they get their shite together and the bonuses line up perfectly.

  • Have a Find X2 Pro for trade in with a small crack on the back cover. If I don't declare any cracks I get $135 value, if I do I only get $1, even though it's barely noticeable and not on the front screen. Not sure how they deal with such minor defects.

        Be careful doing that. I've done the same and just found my bank account has pending charges that look like $1 each time, then there is a $50 pending and I've not ordered the phone yet cause the e-voucher hasn't been working. Now the trade-in ids are stuffed again

        • Thanks for the heads up, the terms and conditions say if you don't use a trade-in id to buy a phone it will automatically expire and any funds taken will be refunded. They only charge when an actual purchase of a phone happens.

    Don't expect much from Asurion, the trade up company. I purchased an S23 Ultra on the presale. Was offered $120 for my Note 10+ which was in immaculate condition. A couple of weeks later, Asurion contacted me to say that the condition of the phone was not acceptable. Sent photos showing the the screen had detached. I was stunned as it didn't even look like my phone. Advised they were returning my Note 10+ and received it two days later. They were keeping the $120 security deposit. Guess what, my phone is still in perfect condition, not matching the photos they showed in their rejection. Be prepared if you trade in.

      • Correct. If they don't want your phone? They just reject the trade in and keep the deposit.

          What if we don't send the phone at all. My Note9 trade value is just $60 and in reasonable condition, not sure if they reject it later.
          I am happy to keep it as a backup phone and let go my $60 deposit. But will it effect my trade-in bonus of $800?

          • @hothot: From previous deals, Asurion charged back the value of the phone (i.e. $60 for you) plus a $60 admin charge. They don't reclaim the trade in bonus.

  • Would love to trade in my note 20 ultra that has developed gluegate for the 23 ultra (I wonder if that too will suffer from gluegate?). Hopefully some more codes will be posted in the megathread.

  • I really love the fact that Asurion deem my note 20 ultra worth $1 due to the gluegate problem, despite the fact that is a KNOWN manufacturing fault, and Samsung never addressed it. As far as I know, the screen replacement is free UNDER WARRANTY but when you hit the warranty period end, good luck getting a the screen replaced without paying for it on a $2000 phone :( this is such scummy behaviour from them all round.

      • Yes , if you are logged into account ,then newsletter should be from same email account otherwise it will not work

  • Finally got the trade in code to work after trying with a bunch of different browsers, eventually one of them worked… But am now receiving a different error code when going through the check out process… I give up!

        Firefox on android worked, although was still a bit temperamental… I'm not sure if it was the browser or just trying over and over that did the trick…

      • Nope I literally just had an error message when clicking on the checkout button, but I did receive an email saying the security deposit for the trade in has been deducted, so I think that part of the process actually worked in the end…

  • When I contacted support about the trade-in ID not working, they said it should be fixed Tuesday.

    "This has been a known issue and has already been reported. It is expected to fixed on Tuesday. Our team is already working on it."

You may try it tomorrow and please let me know to assist you. The trade in code has worked for me and 10% off code worked for them. Are they telling the truth? I think they don't know what's going on

  • My trade in code just started working but the 10% loyalty code doesn't work anymore. And I just got charged the security charge for the trade in despite not even going through the checkout process. Fantastic. 10/10 Samsung.

    Edit: Got charged multiple security charges from all the attempts trying to get the trade in code working. Love it.

    Then I will need the Code (haven't got one yet) and enter on that page?

    • "Good Day! Apparently we're having system update on the website that's why the voucher didn't affect the order". The response i got from the loyalty team
