1 Year Accor Plus Explorer Membership Family and Friends A$199 @ Accor Australia

3070

Saw the deal via Hong Kong

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/767946?page=1

Saw in comments there's a $199 deal for family and friends but the link didn't work for me so I contacted live chat and they gave me a link that worked for me. I thought it deserved it's own deal as the benefits as stated by commenter included keeping your Accor points plus no need for VPN, no currency conversion plus it's about $10 cheaper.

Accor Plus Explorer benefits include one free night accommodation, 50% off dining when there's two people, access Red Room 50% off deals and silver status

EDIT: Thanks to @vbhaven I logged on to cashrewards in mobile browser, then earched Accor, followed the link, then copy and pasted the link from this deal and it tracked. 7%. Good luck!

Received an email at OzBargain from a guest user. She didn't receive the email confirmation, and

I therefore followed up with Accor Plus - they have advised that offer is only available to friends/family of Accor staff and I have to provide a staff member's name and their location.

They are refusing to provide me with the membership for $199 as they have said OzBargain did not have permission from Accor to offer this deal and it is only available via referral.

Anyone else having the same issue?

From previous comments, someone who didn't receive a follow up and login credentials was someone who selected the pay in 4 method.

FWIW, as stated in my OP, when I contacted live chat and told them the family and friends link I had didn't work, they just gave me one that did, without asking for any employee name and location, or anything else for that matter. I guess this must have been well before the deal got OzBargained I guess.

Also, why did this person have to mention OzBargain anyway? What level of Karen is she, that she actually e-mailed OzBargain.. to complain about dobbing OzBargain in.. to somehow get a resolution? If Accor can't help her, what was she expecting Scotty to do?

They're definitely a guest user, not the way someone in the community would act

      • Yup. Plenty of people (guest users) think that somehow OzBargain is responsible when the deal doesn't work for them …

        ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      • Sadly the lowest common denominator ruins it for the rest of us

    • i signed up using the link provided and it went through fine.

There wasn't even a place to write a name/ID of a staff member.

      • Did you sign up as an explorer? It shows me 319 for the explorer which has 1 free night.

  • Dining at the pullman in cairns. 2 adults and 2 kids. First night 50% off entire bill. Next night told 50% EXCLUDES kids. So adults meals 50% off but kids pay full price regardless. I cannot find anything in the t and c does anybody know for sure if kids meals are supposed to be inckuded in the 50%. Mind you twobadult silver members dining, and ine ofbthenkids is a baby

Time to cut back on the booze buddy 😝

    • I would absolutely complain to a hotel manager or Accor customer service, especially since the restaurant set a precedent for giving you a discount the first night. Keep a receipt, dispute it and demand a refund of the difference.

    • Its a grey area and was told kids meals are excluded from 50% off but it seems like it depends on the the mood of the manager of the day.

We (2adults) had lunch a few weeks ago and was just after a quick weekday lunch. Ordered a meal off the starters and a meal from mains and only received 25% off (1adult). Was told it has to be an order of 2 mains to be considered as 2 adults dining for 50% off??????

I went on live chat and was told different restaurants/hotels have different policies so best to check with each restaurant…….very informative indeed…
