  • Seems nothing in WA….

    Thanks. Got one in Brisbane.

  • +3

Shame no deals on the hp one as that is what people seems to prefer.

Also FYI the ryobi attachment to swap the end to a normal jet wash end is not available yet but was announced over 1 year ago. also most of the attachment's are not out here yet but the USA market has them.

  • +1

This even powerful enough to clean a car? I assume it's not for a drive way…

    • +1

The EZClean Power Washer delivers up to 360PSI of pressure, which is ideal for cleaning boats, bikes, cars, garden tools, camping equipment and outdoor furniture. It also comes in handy for camping and beach trips. Clean in remote locations by connecting the Siphon Hose (included) to a nearby water source like a lake, water tank or bucket. The Bottle Adapter (included) can turn a 2L bottle into a water source for cleaning on-the-go.

360PSI is bad but better than a high pressure hose attachment, e.g. the hoselink one says 'up to 150PSI'.

I am intrigued by its portability. Might be good for doing wheels. Big bucket of soap.

    • +2

      360PSI Is about 6X-7X tap pressure;
Great for cleaning mud after a 4x4 or such, but not good for things like driveways.
Honestly, add a zero to that '360psi' number for driveways. Well, almost. My 3200PSI cleaner does will with a 15deg tip, or a jet\turbo nozzle.
If I wanted to go wider, I'd need more pressure.

My father has a simple 2400psi model, which works well with a turbo nozzle, but not much else, when it comes to cleaning porous things like cement.

    • For casual spot cleaning perhaps, if you need to clean properly like attach a foam gun then perhaps no.

  • +1

    360PSI is quite weak tbh

    • agree, can't really use a foam cannon on it, but I guess if you're in a pinch and want to wash your car without a water source this works?

  • +1

Will it remove the brake dust from calipers or rims?
    Can I attach a hose?

    • +1

Literally says in the product description that it can connect to garden hose

      • +17

You think I'm reading the descriptions ? Thanks mate!!

        • +2

          Well played… :)

    • +9

I use a wireless hose connector, works a treat.

      • I guess it vlows air

      • +1

I got the optional 802.11W router. The front of my place looks like the Belagio now,,,

    • Slightly off-topic; not sure what car you have but I found when I swapped out the OEM discs and pads for higher performance versions I haven't had to deal with brake dust since.

      • +1

High performance pads are harder compounds and wear your discs more than standard. Less dust, more wear.

        • Indeed, although I feel like I've found a good balance with the performance discs not wearing too quickly.

    • A power washer is good for knocking off loose debris but not at all necessary for cleaning a car, a decent detailer rarely truly needs one. This one isn't near powerful enough to be useful in for the role pressure washers have. You're much better off hand washing and rinsing with a normal garden hose.

That being said, you'll need a power washer with serious cojones (~1500psi, >6 litre per minute flow rate - a Karcher K3 is $300) to make a dent removing brake dust, but even still it wouldn't get all of it. Brake dust incredibly fine and etches into the paint and metal. Your best bet is a iron remover/decontamination spray - something like this which is just a spray on/wait 2 mins/rinse off affair.

Why spend $149/$300 when a $30 spray will do the job with less effort.

    • Tried it exactly for this purpose. Quick answer is no.

  • +1

I bought one for 269 and sold it for 200 after using it twice.

    • +1

You should've returned to Bunnings for a refund

      • Does Bunnings do change of mind refund after use?

        • +2

          "Not fit for purpose"

        • +7

Bunnings have the loosest refund policy and I love it. As above, "not fit for purpose" really covers anything from the way the product is made, how you use it, inconveniences using it, etc. The refund to credit card as well, not store credit like some stores.

          • @kevorulez: If you don’t have receipts, they return to store credit

      • +9

Maybe I could but genuinely I think it was working ok. It’s the noise and weight and power and everything together which makes me dislike it. I would feel guilty asking for a refund.

        • -1

Good attitude but poor ozbargaining :-)

          • +4

@Big L: I think the OzBargaining component ended when he bought the thing.

Using a product then returning it for refund falls under a subculture within OzB that I like to call OzVulturing

  • Is this poorly reviewed one a different model?

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-one-18v-320psi-ezclean-pow…

    PSI is 40 less

    • Same model (OWA1800), they both have a rated pressure of 320 but max pressure of 360.

  • +2

Might be OK for a water fight or washing the car. I think Ryobi over-reached with this product, it just cannot generate enough force.
Much better off getting a regular pressure washer - the Ozito one with the aluminium motors is good and cheaper does 2030PSI

  • +2

Bought one yesterday to wash green bin to reduce kitchen waste smell. Around 10 available Doncaster VIC

    • +16

Nothing better than a bit of wet decomposing organic matter splashing you in the face!

      • +3

        Tasty Bin juice…

        • +5

          The forbidden apple juice

    • I keep the smelly green waste (esp meat scraps) in the freezer until bin night, then pop them in on top of whatever garden waste there is - no kitchen waste smell.

Admittedly I also have a compost bin where most food scraps go so that might not work for anyone who has too much to store in the freezer.

  • +1

I am assuming when you have to attach a garden hose then cord free is not that important…

    • +4

You don’t have to attach a garden hose.

    • +1

      Wireless water works well ;)

    • +1

Attaching one cable is better than two, and you don't need to worry about cords running through wet areas

    • +3

It comes with a bottle adapter, so you could attach a plastic bottle, then it becomes a super soaker I mean a wireless pressure washer.

      • Any idea where you could buy the bottle adapter?

        • You mean separately? I don't think they sell it separately. I got mine yesterday, the connectors, adapters, short hose all came in a nice pouch in the box.

          • @techdave: I meant the spray bottle which fits the bottle adapter.

            • +1

@Oakok: Ohh, you could just use any standard 2L plastic soft drink/water bottle.

  • +6

360 psi that's barely better than finger on the hose pressure

    • +2

Why is it 360 PSI? So that you can do a 360 and walk away

      • +4

You’ll trigger the pedants and ignorant with that kind of comment.

      • +3

        360….full spin….180 about turn….annoyed…something something….

  • +2

Nice mate will get one purely for the battery, the hose sprayer not too fussed if it turns out to be average at best

    • +1

      The Ryobi wall grows…

  • +1

Cheers OP. Bought one just for the battery alone. Currently have a Karcher OC3 portable washer for the paddleboards and mtb and it's only 75PSI so this should be an improvement.

  • +1

Thanks Guys. Bought one from Seven Hills NSW. There is about 15 of them sitting in the end of Aisle 21 on the left (not in the allocated bay). Some on shelf, some on the top shelf away from sight.

  • +6

There is a 600PSI brushless model as well. Unless you need the battery the 360PSI model might be a waste of money over a hose with a high pressure attachment?

    https://www.ryobi.com.au/cleaning/products/details/18v-one-h…

    • Does Bunnings sell this model?

      • Yeah it was $269 or something

  • This should be right for a bike hey?

  • +3
  • Will the battery work with other tools (18V, 2.0 ah)?

    • Definitely, why not?

      • thanks, the reason i asked as other tools i have uses 2ah battery. dont know if it makes the difference.

        • -1

it does make a difference - less power, but it will work

    • In pure simplified terms

2.0 (AH) amp hour represents how many hours or part there the battery will last doing a task

4 amp hour will do the same task for approx 2x the time a 2 amp hour will do the same task.

My saw for example claims 60 Minutes on a 5 amp hour battery
therefore the 2 amp hour battery will last ~ 24 minutes.

1.5ah 2ah 4ah 5ah will all do the same thing at the same performance, but will just vary the stamina to continue the activity

  • I suppose there's a convenience in it being lightweight, but for the same price you can pick up a pressure washer with a whole lot more power.

    • +1

It's portablity that is the strong point. Out in the bush, at the beach etc.

      • +3

Frolicking in a grassy field by the pale moonlight

      • need a garden tap nearby out in the bush / at the beach though

        • +1

          Not with the bottle adapter

        • comes with a syphon to dip in a bucket too

    • this is definitely heavier than holding normal pressure gun or wheeling a pressure washer

  • +4

Will be very handy after a muddy gravel/mtb ride before putting the bike back in the car.

  • Ryobi 18V ONE+ 4.0Ah Battery and Charger Combo Kit = $149 @Bunnings

  • +1

    Thanks! Got one =D

  • -2

Bah, can’t get it in Perth. Bloody communism

    • +2

I'm not sure you know what communism is

      • Something about community + capitalism, right?

  • Normal hose probably better for washing your bike anyway! Pressure washer can get into seals and also into frame. Pressure on this one might be so low that not issue anyway.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uk4QvjkwyKI

  • Grabbed one at my local. They had three left and two appeared to have been opened (torn packaging where the original tape would have been).

Good reminder that the free delivery with OnePass isn't always the best idea. No choice in which one they'd grab for delivery.

  • Can someone who owns this point it at their rims and calipers and let me know if it cleans off all the dust. Is it better than pointing a hose?

Currently I use a high pressure hose a safe distance away and it's cleans about 90% off the brake dust….the rest is cleaned with the wash etc.

    • My brake dust is potentially far more caked on… Anyway, just tried it today.

The answer is NO. Still need manual brushing to clean everything off.

  • Purchased one from Melton. They had about 4-6 left about thirty minutes ago.

  • +3
    • +2

      looks weak AF..

    • -1

      Lol wow looks like junk

    • +1

yeah he has to get the nozzle right up to the muck for it to make a difference…. this would be useful for very specific use cases where portability is essential.

Having said that, if as some people say there's no bottle adaptor included in the box, I really don't see the point of this thing

      • has the bottle adapter in my kit

  • Wonder how this compares to the Worx or Workzone/Aldi versions

  • I pretty much got this for the battery and charger, as I don't have any Ryobi cordless tools, but there are a few I'd like that Bosch and Makita don't make.

But the cleaner would be good for the bicycles and car. More than enough for what I need.

    • +1

You can easily find a new 4ah ryobi battery from the used market for 60-80.

  • No bottle adapter noted in one of the reviews

    • my box has the bottle adapter

  • +1

wow 360PSI is around 10% of the power of regular pressure washers.
Might as well use a tap and scrub

    • What would you expect from an 18V brushed motor tool?
