    love it

      usrname.. well you know it!

      • the linux is what sold it for me. if i didn't have a pc already..

        • edit: nvm it does indeed come with linux mint preinstalled. didn't know mint still existed!

          • @shabaka: what did you write before editing it?

            • +3

@ilove: I was joking that it doesn't come with linux that you have to buy it separately lol

but it does indeed come with one preinstalled :)

          • +1

@shabaka: Running like a charm on an old ssd 100x better then Windows.

    • Buyers: it'll be great if you can share the temp. of your systems when pushing it @ Ultra setting.
Say Hwinfo64 and/or temp. gun for VRM, thanks.

Is it possible just change the graphic card like to 6700xt?

    • +1

+1 but looks to be a very small case, would need to find a smol 6700xt. Case length is 200mm, random 6700xt I just looked at is 290mm

edit - If anything maybe a itx 4060 could work, they seem commonly available

5600, b550 & 4060 for a bit more monz would be a nice lil puter

      • The 4060 would need the 5600 & B550 for PCIE 4.0 in order to perform well as it has an 8x bus. It's also not a great value card right now, but if it dropped below $350 AUD, that would be something.

    • I highly doubt the RX 6700 XT will fit in this case.

    • +5

It is super tiny and only take single fan cards, the only one of which we have access to is the 3060.

  • aw she's adorable

  • +8

    I'd prefer this over a xbox/playstation

    • +13

Would get better gaming performance from a PS5/XBX, but this is better suited for Ozbargain.

      • +2

Wouldn't be a huge divide in it as raw power is concerned, but the PC is of course far more versatile.

        • +1

          PS5/XBX is around 2080 performance. A 2080 is a fair bit better then a 3060.

          • +1

            @Aureus: I've heard it's only as good as a 2070

          • +3

@Aureus: It really depends on how optimised the game is to the console's hardware.

          • +2

@Aureus: 2070 not 2080. PS5/Series would see probably 5-10% at most performance on this. Whilt losing all of the versatility.

Te benefit though, is if you already have a TV, vs having to fork out a monitor/accessories if you don't already have them.

            • @ONEMariachi: From what I have seen it is closer to a 2080.

                @Aureus: https://youtu.be/JRvB72K546k

I'm sure you could isolate any one game any it possibly might. The architecture is very different.
Here's a vid with a 3060 slightly edging it out.

                • @ONEMariachi: Yeah it definitely does depend on the game, which makes it hard to compare.

A lot of those random comparison video Youtube channels are worthless, so I wouldn't put too much faith in those results. That is why I linked
Digital Foundry, who are very trustworthy. But yeah I get your point.

          • +2

@Aureus: I can't say for the 3060 in this build but the asus 3060 12g phoenix (single fan itx card) trades blows with the msi ventus 2080 in all the games my son plays.

      • +1

Yeah agreed, didn't say this was better than one just I'd prefer it for endless free games, or the PC I already own, or the bargains we get on pc games. Also easy to get Emulator ;) the real bargains

  • +1

That case is interesting, what PSU does it use? I assume it also uses a riser cable?

Any plans to sell it separately?

    • +1

yeah im also interested in the case. Would be good to have an all aluminium case for cheap.

    • I wonder about airflow too - fine for lowish end components I suppose

      • fine for lowish end components

It should be fine although they call it high end gaming system LOL
But the web page doesn't show anything other than the outside of the case.

        • I dont mind a bit of marketing spin, price is/seems good, thats the main thing

          • @cheapdoodau:

price is/seems good, thats the main thing

That's the right thing as long as you understand what you're buying like unknown PSU.

    • +4

Looks like it's this, although they are bulk selling. Also used by alliedgaming

They also sell it individually, but in both cases it's listed as 250mm height instead of 260mm, so maybe it's not the exact same model as techfasts'

      • Techfast is also Allied Gaming so no surprise they’d have the same case.

    • I would also like the case.. does it come in black

    • You'll probably be able to find some in Chinese import sites. China makes a bazillion of these dirt cheap tiny itx cases because that's the preferred size of pc there due to space issues.

    • +12

Probably provide more specific details to help people decide rather than random accusations - especially from a brand new account that has done nothing previously.

If it’s regarding no name parts etc that’s been discussed multiple times over multiple years regarding tech fast

      • +2

Sure. Can you guide me on how to add the second PCIe device for their 6650XT deal?

    • +6

Nothing like being vague when complaining about vagueness

    • +13

Feels like Bongo mark 5 or whatever it is since being banned so many times for the same junk posts.

      • -5

Haha. Do you want me to post the email you sent to your customer, exposing all your rogue behaviors? Please stop playing word games.

        • +9

          post it

        • Yep, i do!

      • +2

I recommended techfast to a mate who wanted a cheap pre built. It had an issue with the GPU which was disheartening when you have recommended a product to someone and it fails.

The way techfast dealt with the problem was incredible though, sending out a replacement before I had even returned the faulty GPU. Gave me a lot of faith in them as a seller.

I have since recommended them to many people who have had zero issues with their builds. I'll be recommending this one to someone I know who is in the market too!

    • +1

I think their record on good deals speaks volumes.

    • +2

Have bought from them twice before and other than delays of delivery (which was expected and I wasn’t in a rush)
TF we’re fine to buy off. Even with a psu that burnt out after a year, they sent me a new psu for free.

  • +2

this or HP Omen 16" AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, Nvidia 3060?
    from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/794528

    • +2

One is a laptop the other is a desktop.
      Which do you need?

      • yea they are different, but performance wise, which one is better? for gaming

        • +2

          The desktop

          • +1

@jsediv: the desktop, because you can't get the laptop lmao

        • +2

… the desktop, but not by as much as you'd see in most comparisons. 3060 Mobile is not equivalent to a desktop 12GB 3060, but this is the 8GB cutdown version.

          See here before buying.

        • +1

3060 mobile and desktop share the chip, and number of shaders, but desktop one will be able to suck much more power, and will perform better. mobile one goes to 115W and desktop to 170W

        • +2

Mobile GPUs are not the same as desktop chips given the same name sadly. It also depends how much total system power the laptop is given.

A mobile 3060 with 80w system power will perform lower than one with 150w system power etc

Its tough to judge laptops, and general rule of thumb is desktop would perform better

          edit: spelling

        • Desktop 3060 should be a bit better than laptop 3060 but 6800H should be a bit better than 5500.

        • Usually laptop GPUs are inferior, but 3060 is a weird GPU. Its laptop version has more CUDA cores than the desktop variant, and gives almost the same performance.

        • Laptops sucks for gaming. Only get a laptop if you need mobility. Otherwise a desktop is far superior and cheaper for similar specs

      • One is stock (Desktop) the Laptop is not

    • omen is OOS

    • @CharityCase: gamers who prioritise mobility-laptop & size-ITX at the expense of airflows, surface-area, longevity & grunt…are those preference wise ?

  • Would it be easy to install Wifi/Bluetooth on this?
Is it worth upgrading to b550 mobo and 5600 cpu?

    • +1

      IMO yes.

Wifi/BT depends on PCI availabilty - assuming zero on an itx board. So you'd need to just go with a decent USB stick.

      • Surprisingly you can get m2 cards that do both if you need - otherwise I got a Wi-Fi 6 compatible dongle from Ali express recently, for like $1.50 shipped lol and it works fine

        • +1

true - I was recently looking at m2 wifi cards - depends a bit on the m2 slot and motherboard capatibility too which is why it can be a complicated suggestion

    • -5

No. Those who answer "yes" to this are simply coming up with their own imaginative ideas. When you receive the computer, you'll realize there's no place to install a PCIe WiFi card. This is when the seller starts acting rogue.

      • +1

You can absolutely run USB Wifi and USB Bluetooth on this machine - the lack of PCIe space inside the case simply doesn't matter.

        • -2

This is your compromise. Most people would choose a cheap USB network card, then buy a USB Bluetooth adapter when they realize there's no Bluetooth. After that, they would complain about the poor signal from the USB network card. All the geniuses reading this post, no one realized that the thickness of the 6650xt occupies 2.5 slots, completely blocking the B550 motherboard we paid extra for. The seller didn't mention this in the description, only stating it's not compatible with graphics cards above 3070. I don't find the seller impressive, rather nauseating. The product design seems rubbish, purely for money. Of course, Ozbargain also has many of their bots.

  • +3

    $109 to upgrade to 32GB?

    • Buy a 32GB stick on Amazon for 105$ and sale the 16GB stick. Better than paying $109 to upgrade to 32GB.

  • Is it the
Gainward Pegasus NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 8GB
    or the
Gainward Phoenix NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB
    ?

    • 3060 8GB

      • -1

as always, downvoted for telling the truth. liberals be damned

  • +7

This affordable high end gaming PC comes with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060

OP are you trying to be funny? LOL

  • +1

Interested to know what PSU is used in this case

  • usb 4.0/thunderbolt 4?

    • +3

Nope, this is a budget build largely using parts from 2020.

  • Definitely take the motherboard upgrade to B550 for the PCIE 4.0 16x slot, or you'll have almost no significant upgrade pathway for this build.

Even then, you'd have to get a Vermeer-based Ryzen 5000 CPU to get PCIE 4.0 speeds, so perhaps consider the 5600 upgrade as well. That takes a lot of the shine off this deal.

Then you've got to contend with the 8GB 3060, which is about 15% slower than the original 3060.

    • That won't guarantee it, I bought a b550 from them and it's only pcie 3
I didn't realise that was a thing but MSI do a few models with it, I guess it keeps the price down

      • +1

The Ryzen 5500 is not a Vermeer-based chip, but the B550 board named above does support 24 PCIE 4.0 lanes when something like the 5600 or 5700X is the CPU in socket.

        • +1

Ah yep mb, didn't see they'd specified the exact board the upgrade is

  • Would it be possible for this build but with an AMD GPU? Prefer AMD on Linux.

    • Size of card is an issue, the nvidia was the only one they had in that form factor…

      • +1

I think there is a 6600xt that is the same size although I'm not sure they'd have it

        • True, but to quote "It is super tiny and only take single fan cards, the only one of which we have access to is the 3060."

  • Would this be good for Forza?

    • +2

      Yes.

Forza does not need the fastest hardware.

  • I like the colour.

  • +4

I would like to point out that 3060 especially 8GB is rather far from high end gaming.

    • Where does it say that?

      • +1

on the listing. whoops it's gone!
