          • @vawiyoci: Thanks mate. Another quick question. $50 for signing up newsletter, any validity for $50? Thanks.

  • Any insight to why the $50 code wouldn't work? got to paying and it had removed it's self and now not working -_-

    • The $50 code needs to match the account that was signed up to the newsletter.
You can't spam any email and generate codes.
It's linked to your email, in other words.

      • I figured it out, wouldn't let me use it through shop back, once I went to the normal site it worked again.

        • What do you mean sorry?

  • For those who are interested in the 10% discount code:
Just make a phone call and saying you used to be a loyal apple user.
You decide to switch to Samsung cuz you believe apple is sh*t these days.
They will be more than happy to give you the 10% discount code (but not 15%).

    • You don't want a 15, doesn't stack with anything.

  • Whats the price coming up for s23 ultra 512gb after all discount applied?

    • +2

$1,103.20 for $1 headphone trade in

  • Has anyone successfully stacked up 2 $100 codes?

    • tried but does not work

  • Does anyone know who delivers the Samsung Store orders? As in, if I miss the delivery person, do I have to go to a remote village in Nepal to grab it, or does it go to Australia Post?

    • +1

      Auspost. They use startrack.

    • +1

That little post office by Everest base could be more reliable.

  • I am doing the order of code stacking in my cart, but the 10% code wont work. keeps throwing errors, i played around with the order and it only works after i added the 100$, 50$ but it just messes up the total. It brings it back to 999 from 1099… so it removes the 50$ and the 10% doesnt even apply… im so confused

    • trade in -> 10% -> $100 -> $50

    • Something wrong with your code.

  • Mine showing ship from 08/09/2023 still awaiting dispatch..

My partner ordered a few hours earlier than me and received the new phone today.

    • They have the worst possible customer service.

  • Just got an email informing me that my order is on the way!

I placed my order on the Friday

  • Ripper deal, thank you

  • Can I trade in there wired earphones from Kmart?
    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/wired-earphones-black-43099…

  • What happens if I don't send in my trade in device? Can I do that? Is it still just the $60ish fee?

    • Plus the trade in cost of the device. So not much of an issue for $1 Bluetooth earphones, but if you can get a cheap one less than $61 then better to send it in.

      • How do you trade Bluetooth earphones. I don't see the option?

        • It is available on the Samsung trade in app

    • Interesting as there are two conflicting info. In the T&C, it said the admin fee for non-returned devices is up to $60, however, in the app, it is written $30. Which one is correct? Is it like a roulette, somebody can be charged with none (given the word "up to") to $60.

  • Tossing up between the + or the Ultra?

    • +1

I had same dilemma but went with ultra

      • Thinking I'll do the same. Just waiting on my 10% code

  • +1

How did it get down to $339.10 for a S23 128gb as per the title?
    Phone $1099
    - Trade in value $1 (as an eg as there needs to some trade value included) = $1098
    - Trade in bonus $500 = $598
    - 10% loyalty discount = $538.20
    - $100 loyalty discount = $438.20
    - $50 newsletter sign up = $388.20

What am i am missing? You'd need a trade in value of $55.56 to get to $339.10 and that is including $50 newsletter that wasnt included in the deal details.

    • +2

      It's all about the ordering

      1099 * 0.9 = $989.1

      -500 = $489.1

      -$100 - $50 = $339.1

You will need to add coupons in this order

      trade in -> 10% -> $100 -> $50

      • So you are doing the 10% discount first and before trade in but your last line and other comments say the trade in first

        • The trade in code is actually automatically added for me as I chose trade in before adding it to cart.

I don't have the $500 code but if you add it in that order, it will calculate it right.

        • The cart won't let you do 10% discount first. It only worked for me after I used the trade in discount then the 10% can be applied

      • So mine went down to $899.10 but jumps to $949.10 after confirming the cart, what the actual f.

        I've been doing Trade in > 10% > $100 > $50.

        • Yeah that is correct. Make sure the 100$ and 50$ are under the same email

  • What are the chances of Asurion charging for a not perfect phone return? The factory screen protector does have minor scratches from general use (like swirl marks in paint) and a tiny section about 5x1mm at the edge is lifted and damaged but the screen is not damaged. At the same area where the screen protector damage is, there is very light scratches to the frame. Everything else they ask is working or no issues. I could pull the screen protector off before sending it in but i assume this shouldn't be an issues since it is general wear and tear and they would expect to replace the screen protector anyway if they refurbish and resell.
When you complete the trade in process, they only ask if the phone has any dents, cracks for bends which i would not consider that to be but after reading previous comments, it sounds like they might look for any reason to not release the charge and say it was not in the same condition as claimed during the trade in process. Trade in value is $295.

    • +1

      This, Chat Log

I wouldn't believe this entirely given how shitty their trade in program is. They will look for every reason not to give you the full amount back. If that is the case I am always ready to chargeback. I have scratch that is thin as a hairline and is 1cm long on the screen, knowing samsung they'll prob give me half of my deposit back

      • Good luck but don't be surprised if the value is reduced to $5. I spoke to Samsung and they said that i had to click yes for the question asking if were any dents, cracks, bends. That made the trade in value go from $295 to $5.

        • Yeah thanks. I can at least use the chat log as evidence for chargeback if I need to.

      • i traded in my pristine fold 4 with no issues. but thats beacuse my phone is
        literally
        pristine

i would suggest that if ur devices are not pristine but still "excellent", sell it second hand and use a different method to get the trade in bonus
or if its "used" then trade in is fine

  • Does anyone know if it’s possible to pay with Afterpay?

  • +1

Ended up buying the phantom black 138gb, traded a pair of sony wh-ch510 worth $1 and stacked the $500 voucher + 10% + $100 + $50 and it went down to $338,20.
Will be shipping from the 15 of the month.
    Best bargain I ever scored.

  • I'm still waiting on the 10% code, man they're slow on the emails.

    • Just ask for it through the chat, they can generate the voucher on the spot after you give them the imei or serial number

      • Tried it, no dice.

Them - We actually do not have 10% discount, but we can offer you $100 discount code to lessen the price of your order.

Me - I was told the 10% could be done through this chat, is that not the case?

Them -Apologies, we never had 10% discount. Instead, we can offer $100 discount for S23 series via Regular Online Store

        • Tell them you want the 10% loyalty discount voucher, they’ll say they’ll send it to your email you tell them you’d rather prefer through the chat since you’re having difficulty receiving emails from Samsung, tell them you want to upgrade from an older device, I did it with a galaxy s7 I had ages ago, gave the chat guy the imei and he generated the voucher on the spot

          • @Emilimu: When I spoke to chat they also said they are not able to provide 10% off code, must be from email.

        • Right after getting the voucher the representative sent this to my email:

Customer’s Issue: asking for a voucher code

Action Taken: ask if the customer has old samsung product - Y// cx provide the details

          Resolution/Outcome: provide crp

          CRP
          CRP Offered? Y
          Customer accepted: Y
          Attempted to cross-sell? N/A

          SA Integration: N/A

  • I selected "Other headphone" - it didn't say they have to be wireless/Bluetooth. I'm planning to send a pair of old wired earphones.

    • i thought other headphones, was under the category earbuds.

      • +1

I got two categories 1) Earbuds 2) Headphones. So selected headphones and it didn't say they need to be wireless/BT. Will see what happens after sending my wired headphones which have been sitting in the drawer for years.

        • Same here, will send my old wire headphones too.

    • Did sending a pair of wired earphones for "Other headphone" got the approval from asurion?

      • Yes it did. Although they took a few weeks to assess - but I eventually got $1 refund.

  • +2

Been waiting on phone and status is not changing from awaiting dispatch. Samsung while running good deals, compensates you with terrible customer service. Feels like you are dealing with a small business who has 1 person behind all their operations and doesnt know what they are doing.

    • Exactly

    • Same. I ordered around midday on the 8th.

4 days later, hasn't changed from "awaiting dispatch".

      • What is your ETA?

        • My ETA is for tomorrow but I have spoken with their customer service and they have confirmed that they have no idea when the phone will be delivered.

They also cannot refund me which has prompted me to open a PayPal case against Samsung. Sounds crazy that a company like Samsung would be so bad that you would need to use PayPal case to get your money back lol. They make good phones but that is where the buck stops, i think they will also be a nightmare to deal with in case of warranty claims.

          • @parallelparadox: What is your reason for cancelling order? Change of mind?

            • @CodeXD: No, because I need a phone urgently as I am traveling overseas as old phone's camera has died (have given Samsung enough time but they didnt deliver).
Based on what Samsung are saying, they have no idea when I will have a phone so I want to cancel and look to buy either a Google Pixel 7 Pro or another phone like Oppo.

I dont think Samsung deserves my money with this sort of service

          • @parallelparadox: Someone with ETA today only got a shipping notification last night, we might still be okay (fingers crossed)

        • My ETA according to the website is also tomorrow (the 13th), although after speaking with support they have advised that ETA is now the 23rd and that my item, whilst in stock, has not been shipped yet.

          • @jamin: Someone with ETA today only got a shipping notification last night, we might still be okay (fingers crossed)

            • @victorheaven: I received my shipping notification an hour ago. Fingers crossed!

              • @jamin: Me too! Did you manage to find the tracking details anywhere?

                • @victorheaven: No. When I click on tracking it says "Delivery status unavailable"

          • @jamin: I recieved my shipping notification yesterday and the phone was delivered today

            • @Peelaw: @Peelaw can you please advise when did you order. I have ordered today but leaving overseas next weekend (23,24 Sept)

              • @Arsi: I ordered on Friday 08/09

The original order had an anticipated delivery date of yesterday and the phone arrived as expected.

  • Is anyone having issue with Cashrewards? My sale hasn't been tracked yet. Ordered on 10th

    • I am having the same issue with Cashrewards. Ordered on 9 Sept. So far no email from CR stating my order has been tracked for cashback.

      • +1

They might have caught on when you use 4 codes XD

Purchases using coupon codes not listed on Cashrewards.

It says tracking in 1-7 days so still within the timeframe

    • Same.

      @tightarse

      😃

      • +5

        @ashftc, @looster @CodeXD @lordra

Cashback is ineligible on the following:

        • Purchases made through Samsung's Education Store, Samsung's Business Store, or any Samsung Enhanced Partnership Portals.
        • Purchase of gift cards or use of gift cards for full or partial payment.
        • Purchases using coupon codes not listed on Cashrewards.
        • Items that are cancelled, returned, exchanged or refunded.
        • GST, other taxes and delivery fees.
        • Fraudulent transactions.
        • Purchases using any type of discount which lowers price advertised on the Merchant site, including but not limited to employee discounts, student discounts and price-matching.

For those that did track, they still need to be approved by Samsung, so I can't say with any certainty that these will be ok. Thanks.

        • +1

          Thanks TA

          • +3

@ashftc: No worries at all. Just reading through the thread, I noticed there was a $100 voucher on offer too. This will likely fall under the "gift card" clause if used to lower the price. And using trade-ins to lower the price would also make cashback ineligible. All the best.

        • So basically if its tracked, will depend on samsung approval. If it hasn't tracked, don't bother submittig missing tracking claim?

          • +2

@cyrax83: Correct. A claim will not be successful due to unlisted code use.

            • +1

@tightarse: Thanks mate, this is what I suspect.

              • @lordra: Just checked my previous purchases from Samsung using trade-in codes and voucher codes — Shopback approved the claims despite it being the Education Store, but Cashrewards declined.

  • My cashrewards showing Estimated approval: 07/01/2024 (~117 days)

  • Do the online exclusive colours take longer to ship?

    • yap ordered on 10th and still on 'Waiting for Approval' status and it also states 'Ships from: September 18, 2023'

    • nah, they have crap processes. I ordered 256gb black S23 U and awaiting dispatch (meant for dispatch on the 8th of Sep and Delivery on the 13th). Called and spoke with their customer service and they are saying our courier hasnt provided tracking and havent picked up phone and it is somehow the customers fault. Basically they dont know what happened with the phone and when I will have it.

Asked for cancellation of order and they are saying 21 days for refund.

Asked to speak with a manager and I was told they are in a meeting and cant talk.

I would avoid Samsung online like the plague, would gladly pay similar price point and grab a Google Pixel 7 pro any day.

      • Theres still a chance it will be picked up today and delivered tommorow.

        • yeah not going to hold my breath on that one to be honest. If they havent moved in a week, chances not looking too good for the last day lol.

          • +2

@parallelparadox: So you are upset because you haven't received your phone yet and you only ordered on Friday?

          • @parallelparadox: Phones status has been updated to on the way.

    • yes unfortunately only realized this after ordering! I want to get it before I go overseas to get TRS but now I may not due to this delay. I swear the website didn't make this very clear!

      • Samsung is really bad, all you need is another company to deliver near similar products with slightly better services at a similar price point and samsung will lose all their market share.

While Apple has great service, their prices are very high. Google is decent but not quiet there yet.

      • Which phone did you buy?
