Assuming you have some device to trade in, JB Hifi via the SquaretradeUP platform is offering a bonus $300 coupon for the Pixel series. Not sure if it's meant for Pixel 8, but the code works for a Pixel 7a and Pixel 7 series. Campaign Period: 12 Sept 23 - 27 Sept 23

For example - if you trade in a phone worth $160, you'll get:

  • $160 JB Gift Card that you can spend on anything as your trade-in credit
  • $300 Discount Code on a "Pixel Series" phone

Assuming you were spending it on a Pixel 7 device, you'd pay $699 (JB's listed price) - $300 (bonus coupon) - $160 (JB GC) = $239

Given JB is matching the Google Store deals, the prices below are what you'd pay post $300 discount

* Google Pixel 7 Pro 5G 128GB for $899 - $300 = $599 price now back up to $999
* Google Pixel 7a 5G 128GB for $749 - $300 = $449 - ask JB to price match Google Store and pay $349
* Google Pixel 7 5G 128GB for $699 - $300 = $399 price now back up to $899

      just put your own IMEI number from your current phone (and change a number or two) that you won't actually trade-in. I doubt their online tool will match the IMEI to a certain brand/model phone

          yes they're taking about the trade-in value which they give to you as a gift card. trust me they won't take away the coupon discount, nowhere in their t&c do they mention the coupon. I've done a similar thing with Samsung's trade-in offers in the past and they don't touch the coupon discounts, only trade-in values.

    Having trouble with the verification, I do the ID photos and selfie and click next to go to next step, then it just pops up with a blank box with a green "OK" button, I click it and nothing happens… then I go ahead and click next again and the box pops up with "ID verification failed"…

    Anyone else in the same boat?

      It happened to me as well. Just refresh the page and restart the verification. If you are running any ad-blockers in the browser, disable them and try again

    Trying to research whether I should get the 7 or 7a? Seems like there isn't much difference other than size, 7a's camera is arguably better? I wouldn't mind saving an extra $50 if the differences are negligible

          …..and my guess those models only came out only in the last year or so. The battery "manufacture" date on our devices would be older hence they would know and reject once received/inspected. No idea to be honest but adds to my concern and too risky!

    Any way to not trade in a device and keep the $300 voucher? They are offering $50 for my mint condition PIxel 5 and $80 for my year old galaxy watch 4 (had bought it on deal for 160) . I doubt i'll get a deal like this again for the watch

        You can just contact SquareTrade to say you won't be able to trade in the phone anymore and for them to just charge you.

        If you haven't used the trade in code, then you can ask them to cancel it.

        No need to get banned at all.

    GREAT deal thanks OP. Traded spare 2018 base model iPad for $95, got lemongrass Pixel 7 for $311 including express delivery (regional so doubt Uber is an option). My Pixel 6 has had a hard life and has a cracked screen so I’m ready for upgrade. I’ll get TRS as well as travelling OS soon. My $300 coupon arrived after everything else. The whole process was a bit of a faff but worthwhile.

          To avoid getting banned, you will need to email SquareTradeup advising them that you no longer wish to go through with the trade-in (after acquiring the new phone). They will just charge you for the value of your phone trade-in. I made the mistake of going cold on their correspondence on a previously obtained deal and get the following error message when trying to take up this offer:

          "Sorry, we have not completed processing a previous order (1 order per time) or your account is currently on hold. Please contact us via email, if you would like us to review"

              @Autonomic: In my case I found that the Motorola G82 trade-in is optional for the IMEI input. So perhaps place the order by submitting a trade for that specific phone even if you don't own one and you will be charged back $90 (which is the phone value on their platform).

      It's not JB's problem or care. They deal with SquareTrade.
      Shipping is a dordle. The details are all provided. Print or get it printed out and attach to package. Find suitable box and pack it with cardboard derivatives from the recycling bin
