      • Yeah, My keyboard is on the way out as well. If you move the tablet portion while it is docked it will momentarily disconnect and then reconnect, Super annoying when you are watching a movie off of a thumb drive.

    • Yep, it's sold out 🙁

  • Darn it, was looking for deal like this and missed out. OOS in 35 mins >_<

  • waiting for 8th gens surface pros with 16gb

    • +1

What's the price bracket for that spec?

      • +1

they have it, but around $500

        • waiting for sub $400 or even $300

  • +4

Kris Kringle gifts for work now all sorted…

    • Looks forwards to that. Thanks boss

  • +2

    Back in stock

  • +7

These are selling faster then the system can sync, so it may come in and out of stock. We have about 500 available.

    • How are the screens. Do you have any which had screen protector from new

      • -5

        You snoozed

    • So there is sufficient amount of the devices to satisfy all current orders?

      • They shipped really quickly. I guess these might be used business devices from a large organization so should be able to fulfill the orders

  • Need a special on Surface pens now!!

    • I bought one of these new and it came with a pen, sort of assumed these would too?

      • Nope. Not mentioned.

        • But photo has one. Fingers crossed!!!

  • +1

    Got one, thanks OP!

    • +2

I wouldn't hold your breath ha.

  • +1

Isn't this an insanely good deal?
    I'm ordering one.

    • or is it erubbish?

      • One man's erubbish is another man's etreasure?

Some real gems get thrown out for hard garbage from time to time eg. got a working macbook which just needed an OS re-install and some IPA to clean the charge port.

        • +3

damn which rich bich bin is this?!

  • +2

    Buy now. Think later.

  • any deals for surface book?

  • +1

Can these be charged via usb?

  • Thanks Ops bought one

  • I already have a macbook air should I get this as a cheap travel alternative? is it lighter?
I also got the alldocube mini but I dont really like that one

    • +1

it's older equipment so battery wont last during usage, not ideal for travelling unless you're always near power or have a large power bank.
If you're happy with the Air then I'd stick with that though pulling out an Apple-logo in certain places will get unwanted attention so it might have a use there otherwise I'd only suggest it if you're ok with the age (aka performance) and prefer a Windows-desktop while you don't mind a tablet format.

I was, in fact, looking at getting one of these outside of the deal only a few days ago because I need that Windows desktop environment and easier isolated security configuration while travelling and my MBP wasn't cutting it with how much it calls back to Apple.

      • thank you. saved me a couple bucks even if it is cheap

      • +1

I bought two from the previous deal.
Battery test showed 100% and both batteries had only 2 cycles. I guess they had changed the batteries during the refurbishment process. Actual usage could easy last 5-7 hours.
        Very happy with the purchase.

        • +1

Microsoft says 13.5 hrs. Real world, a new battery should last ten hours. 5-7 is what I'd expect from a old battery with 70% capacity, and screen brightness up high.

          • @bargaino: Update: Battery report says I would get 8.5 hours with a new battery, based on my actual use so far.
And 7 hrs as is. (brightness around 4/10 setting)

  • Is this fast enough for basic office task and web browsing ?

    • Yes, I think it would be fine for that.

  • +2

dammm saw this on the way to work on the train, don't need it, got one anyway…

  • +1

Is this like a laptop or a tablet?

    • functions in both modes

  • OOS….saw this too late, but probably for the betterment of my wallet 😅

    • +1

its still there, i got one just now

      • thanks, just checked it is indeed back in stock!

  • Fml. Both sets of grandparents need new laptops and I just missed out

    Edit: snagged 2

  • Any chance for a deal on just the keyboard for those that purchased last time?

    • Sell that and buy this? OOS anyway

  • +1

    OOS - ozbargained

  • Good for a portable screen? Lots of cool software these days out there.

  • Back in stock

  • Are these Microsoft Warranty backed?

  • it's back in stock now for anyone wants one. I can add 1 to cart, go all the way to checkout with the promo applied. I got stopped at the end by the wife though for an impulse buy :(

  • Product Description says: "This Microsoft Surface model features Windows RT as an operating system, it is powered by an ARM chipset, and it has a storage capacity of 64 GB"

This can't be right as it's an Intel model? eBay ad should be updated.

    • read above comments. Description is not correct. Ad title is.

  • bought one. Thanks OP. Kid is starting school next year, will be handy.

  • -6

People. These things are so bloody slow. Stop.

    • +3

  • -7

Was adverised on google search same dealers at $109 they will not honour have screenshot . https://www.google.com/search?q=microsoft+surface+pro+5+i5+7…

    See about that

  • +3

i quick google. share info here, in case anyone want to know more

    release year 2017

    support ends in 3 months
    https://endoflife.date/surface

    • +1

      Thanks.

A bit more info from the link:

Microsoft defines a supported Surface Device as one receiving driver and firmware updates, along with a supported Windows OS version. Surface devices will receive driver and firmware updates for Windows versions released in the prior 30 months.

Microsoft publishes the minimum supported Windows version. Once the device support period is concluded, devices will continue to receive Windows OS feature and security updates.

  • Bought one. Thanks OP.

  • Need a deal on SP7 - USB C

  • Gone again!

    • +1

      what

      • He wants them to honor a price mistake in Google search…

  • Missed out on it last time, just grabbed one now thanks OP! Hope the battery health is good, These things will get painfully slow if the battery dead.

  • +3

    Grabbed one.

Those having a whinge about the seller not 'honouring' the $109 price from Google search…if it's a mistake (Google's or the OP) then let it be. Mistakes can be made. And even if it was the actual offer, there is no obligation for them to repeat the price or give you the price now. Circumstances change, stock prices change etc etc. They might even just want to make some money!

This is a great price regardless of how cheap it may or may not have been before.

      • Did you place an order at the lower price?

      • +3

This is a common issue in Google search results.

Google tries to detect the price, but when there are alternative products/prices displayed on the retailers page it will often pick the wrong one.

In this case Google has picked the $109 price which appears in the "Frequently Bought Together" section for "Microsoft Office 365 Personal".

If you try searching for other products from this company you will often see the same $109 price show up in Google results.

        For example, Microsoft Surface Book 2 13.5" Intel i7 8650U 1.90GHz 16GB RAM 512GB SSD Win 11

  • Got one, thanks.
    Now for a pen!

    • i thought they include a pen ?

      • No pen

        • The photo shows a Pen, on the left side.

          • @Ryxxi: Yap. I thought the same Pen is included…

  • How would these handle running Fortnite?

  • OOS again :(

  • +1

    OOS :(

    • +1

just refresh the page /wait a bit

  • Is it possible to upgrade RAM?

Looking for a pc music production machine to couple with the MAC I use in studio.

    • I'd be more concerned of the CPU - dual core hyper threaded.

I mean once Windows has been set up with latest drivers and updates it's ok for basic tasks.

    • No, that's the problem with Surface. Even replacing the battery is very difficult and risks breaking the screen.
Even the SSD is soldered in.

  • +2

Think back again. Almost got one, too many gadgets lol. Great price.
