Just went to sign up for eBay Plus on my inactive account and saw that they are offering $9.99 eBay Plus memberships for 1 year (thanks to @Ramennightmare)

      You should be able to get both. The referral bonus is for signing up for TCB. This cashback is for signing up for eBay Plus.

      you need to continue the payment and keep selecting paypal - because it doesn’t proceed after you login paypal and confirm the payment.

    Strange, I signed up using the $20 voucher link and a confirmation message said I will get charged $9.99. However, I haven't been charged yet. It could be due to the 30 day free trial, I'm guessing?

      I think they have a cooling off period of a couple of weeks. I once got auto renewed and asked them to cancel it and they refunded me

      I keep going round in circles trying to figure out how to cancel the service, it just takes you to the same pages which aren't helpful. I really shouldn't have bothered lol

      edit ended up figuring out you have to click edit membership and then select cancel from the drop down. A note that it says the $30 giftcard will only be recieved if you continue beyond the current 1 year subscription so dont think this is that valuable.

          Why not? The T&C's say nothing that would preclude you from getting it, regardless of the price paid for ebay plus.

          I've been talking to the incompetent chat person and his supervisor about this. They are just making stuff up at this stage for why not to apply it. Arguments so far:

          Argument: You already got a great deal for $9.99 membership
          My response: Doesn't preclude me from getting the voucher, nowhere in T&C's does it say I have to pay $49

          Argument: Banner says "$49"
          My response: That's an advertisement, and that refers to the "full terms and conditions", which again say nothing about having to pay $49 to get the offer

          Argument: Where did you get the link? You need to have received an invite email
          My response: T&C #3 says it can be via promo banner, no email required, irrelevant where i got the link from

          Argument: Oh yea, does the T&C say about getting $9.99 membership?
          My response: Yep, the standard T&C 5.2 says I can get a discounted membership. It also doesnt say anywhere that I cant get it in conjunction with another offer

          They've now gone to their 'back end team to find how you got to the page' and will email me :) which obviously isnt relevant given their own T&C's allow me to navigate to the page via the URL

          I dont even care about the $20 at this point, just on principle it's bulls**t they just use these sort of arguments to do what they want. Their own T&C's don't preclude you from getting the offer, and their customer service reps don't seem to have an education beyond primary school.

      It changed during the year when I signed up was $5 with $20 min spend then went up to $50 min spend. Recently came back down to $15 min spend so was able to use mine last month. $50 was way too high, didn't really use the vouchers then.

        There are 2 monthly vouchers: a $5 off $15 spend that works on most items, and a $5 off $50 spend where the $5 discount can only be used on eBay Plus items.

        I have gotten both for months now without issues, but I have seen some comments here where it appears that some people are not getting the coupons reliably.

    Just my luck I was going to buy eBay plus again for $50 but my credit card details were not stored so it didn’t auto renew. On the same day I saw this and resigned up manually 1 day later for $10 and now I received an email from topcashback I got $20 credit in my account. Nice.
    I don’t understand how so many people had issues with this. It was pretty straight forward as long as you made sure you followed this pages link and did not break the connection with it. I did couple times, so I closed the browser and reclicked this link. I also did it on a laptop not phone. I think topcashback said it won’t work on the eBay app.

    Ugh…just chatted with Ebay, seems they're scrambling to AVOID giving the $20 vouchers to anyone who signed up via that offer but didn't have it 'targetted' towards them i.e clicked on the link, rather than the email offer or home page clickthrough.

    They said they have to contact their team who checks who was meant to get the offer to verify - but I suspect they'll be dodging paying these out.

    If you've not signed up yet I think you should go the cashback route instead as is possible that might work but suspect they'll not be paying these $20 vouchers. Their T&Cs make it unclear if this is justified or not.

      It's a complete scam, their own T&C's say you should still get this, but they're just using ridiculous arguments to try and avoid it.

      Must be dependant on the agent handling the conversation. I just had a conversation and they said :

      Upon checking, I can see that you have taken the subscription on 1st November, however it taken 10 days for the voucher to get receive from the payment date.

      I can see that see that the $20 voucher is on it's way. So, I would request you to wait for 4 more days i.e till 11th November and be assured you will get the voucher till 11th November.

      Please do not worry and be assured you will going to get the voucher by 11th November.

      We'll see what happens on the 11th…
