      • absolutely, never know whats their min speed when we using

    • +1

Just curious if you had to give notice as soon as you signd up as I saw about 30 days cancellation notice?

  • Can we get 3 months free & then obtain the 30% off for 12 months with More?

    • As long as you keep paying from your CBA card.

      • +1

looks like the 30% off for 12 months has ended :(

        • I guess More doesn't want you churning away to take advantage of this offer, and then enjoy the 30% discount again.

        • @plal or others. Have you tried to do the 3 months free and then after it ending sign up for the 30% off? My current offer of 30% expires in June 2024 so there is potential to do 3 months free and then do the 30% later. When you say "looks like the 30% off for 12 months has ended" does it mean you signed up to the 3 months free and the subsequently looked into your commbank yello area and the 30% more telecom tile with discount code was removed?

  • -1

So what happens if we already are a CBA customer with a CBA debit card? Can we get the 3 free months?

  • +2

I am with More, happy with free static Ip

  • Does it matter which modem we chose? They are a similar price. No idea which one to pick.

    • +1

It matters. Do you have FTTN, FTTB, FTTC, FTTP, HFC, fixed wireless? Check here.

      • Thanks!

        It says:
Looks like you’re ready to connect

Some premises may need additional work to be completed first. Contact a phone and internet provider.

        FTTC is the technology used.

It says the super fast plan includes free FTTP upgrade, but would that include the initial installation also?

There is no NBN box at my property, I have no idea if the previous owner took the NBN box with them or had a different type of internet.
Would More organise the nbn box for me and is there a $300 charge like I’ve read about for the initial connection or is that included?

        it says:
Great news! By ordering a Superfast NBN (nbn250) or above, nbn® will install fibre to the premises for you at no cost! (Please allow 1-3 weeks for an appointment).

        • eero 6+ is the better router for FTTC and FTTP. More Telecom will organize the nbn installation and nbn box. There shouldn't be a $300 charge.

          • @Twix: Thank you, that’s great

I wonder why some people are reporting being charged $300 online and for others it’s completely free.

            ETA: found this:

If nbn™ Co deems your property to be a new development, the nbn™ New Development charge of $300 inc GST will apply. If you are not completely satisfied with your More nbn™ service, you are free to cancel within the first 14 days after connection and receive a full refund of your plan fee.

            • +2

@Rushbrooker: $300 is for properties that have never connected to the nbn. It mostly applies to brand new houses/units. You can check this on Aussie Broadband by adding a plan to your cart and see if the $300 comes up or not.

              • @Twix: Okay so there’s no $300 fee which is great news but now the super fast plan (second most expensive), isn’t included in the 3 month free deal (it was coming up an option earlier). To get the free FTTP upgrade I have to pick the most expensive plan if I want the free 3 months. They were quick to change this.

Also it’s not allowing me to chose the eero 6+ as an option, only the netcom. There is some promo deal to get the eero+ for free and I think it’s canceling that out.
It says the netcom modem is still compatible.

Is it worth getting FTTP upgrade and paying more after the deal ends do you think? I guess I could cancel before the trial ends.

                • +1

@Rushbrooker: NetComm NF20 is compatible but the eero 6+ is better. Call More Telecom to get the eero 6+ router or purchase it from Amazon AU. Amazon will have sales for Black Friday Nov 24th.

FTTP is worth it. After the deal ends just swap to a cheaper plan or swap ISP.

                  • +1

                    @Twix: You’re right, I’ll do that.

                    Thanks for your help

I tried to move from superloop to more.
I had no internet for 4 days when moving to more.
It never got connected, more could not explain why it took so long.
I cancelled my more order and reconnected with superloop and was online about 15 min after my order.

    Avoid at all costs.

    • better stay with SL/EXTEL

    • funny i had no issues with More but ive had heaps of issues with Superloop since i churned there 4 months ago! So many outages for FTTP!

    • I moved from superloop to more.. Zero issues was quick.

  • How much notice does More need before moving away to another retailer?
They have raised prices for the 50/20 plan plus I am not planning to jump into the FTTP upgrade bandwagon. Just waiting for 5G plans to catch-up and sayonara NBN.

  • I was with Tangerine on NBN 100 and then got CBA 3 years free NBN offer that ended in June 2023 for NBN 50 with More.
I have noticed my speed has not dropped and I continue to get NBN 100 at no cost. I could see the that the UI of More and Tangerine is exactly the same. So underlying setup is linked.

    • +3

More and Tangerine are sister company so while the switching over seems like a automatic process, the plan upgrade/down grade is a manual click of a button - they have a specific terminology for this, can't recall it. I had the same issue but needed to switch and upgrade at the same time.

      • Lucky me. I won't ask for it as I get a better plan for lower cost lol

  • +1

Looks like you can get 3 months free sim card (x10) when sign up for their 3 month free nbn plan. UP TO 10 SIM CARDS GUZMAN BURRITO haha

    • +1

Where do you see 10x sim cards? The terms say a maximum of 5x mobile services per More account.
It's still an excellent offer though. Free internet, 5 free mobiles, and free burritos all summer? Talk about a no brainer.

      • +1

When I go through the offer I was able to add 10 sim cards to cart along the plan haha. Excellent offer for sure even with just 5 free sim cards at max haha.

        • did you use their 3 month SIM offer before?

Im getting the same option now that ive used the 3 month sim offer. Go NBN, add SIMS too.

  • +2

I was with More for 12 months. Then 5 months ago I changed to a new provider.
Can I start using this service again if I provide a new CBA card information?
In what condition we cannot use this service basically?

    • +1

I would like to know it too, I don't know what is the defination of new customer in their T&C.

This is from their T&C: This offer is only available to new More nbn® customers who do not have an existing More nbn® service and have activated the offer via the More website.

  • do i need disconnect my current one first?

    • I got a text after ordering saying not to disconnect the previous one first as it will delay the connection, I have been waiting five days so I wish they had that clearly on the sign up page haha

  • +1

Absolute bottom of the barrel ISP, their call centre is based overseas and they have zero knowledge on the NBN infrastructure. I transitioned from More to their sister company Tangerine so I could get the FTTC to FTTP deal which was due to be installed on 14/11. Internet was working for a week until they decided to disconnect the FTTC connection on 26/10. Called up Tangerine and they said it is "normal" and need to wait until the installation day to get back online. I cracked the shits at their technical support and billing teams for attempting to retain me as a customer by try "fix" the problem by not providing a service.

The same evening, I contacted Leaptel and explained the whole situation. They got me to submit a manual new service form and put in the request for an NBN rollback. Next day they reconnected my FTTC service and couldn't be happier. Just my FTTC to FTTP upgrade has now been pushed back by a week which I don't mind, but their customer and internet service is above and beyond!

    • +1 for Leaptel. I've been with them for a year and they've been great.

    • Did the same fttc to fttp via tangerine. Nil problems. Great price $69 a month for 250/50 speeds with a $30 signup credit. Biggest bonus is static IP no extra charge. I was with leaptel and they wanted to charge me an extra $10 a month for that.

      • -1

I'll be paying $89/month for 500/50 once my FTTP is installed and from 1st December speeds will be increased to 1000/50 for the same price. CVC for me is so much better on Leaptel compared to Tangerine and More. More than happy to pay the extra for static with Leaptel if it delivers me better quality of service.

    • I was with MORE and moved to Tangerine, same thing happened!
the NBN connection was disconnected few days earlier and run into the weekend and left me with no internet!

  • Thanks OP! Happy to trial them for 3 months despite the mixed reviews.

  • +3

What is More’s NBN plan cancellation policy? Do you need to give X days notice for example. Having no luck finding details on their website.

  • I’ve been ported out of more coming to 6 months now.
Would I be able to get the 3 months for free also?

    • +1

I re-joined on a promo rate after being "away" for much less time than that. Perhaps sign up using a different email.

  • Has more changed the speed of its NBN plans recently? website shows the max speed is "ultrafast plan with 350/42 mbps". cant see 1000mbps speed plan anymore. Can anyone pls confirm? Thanks

    • I believe once you enter your address they give you the real speed at peak times. During non peak times you'll get 1000mbps provided your router n devices are capable of it

  • Changed over from Origin Energy FTTB yesterday without a hitch. It is noticeably a worse service (changing channels on streaming services takes a couple of seconds longer to load, Kayo on chromecast would drop in quality for a couple of seconds every few minutes) however for 3 months of free NBN I'm sure we'll cope alright…

Strangely downloading app updates on my iPhone took an age last night even though we signed up to the maximum 100/40 plan available to us. Again though it is free for 3 months but won't be sticking with them once the free period is over.

    • Do a speed test during peak times

      • Did one last night via my iPhone 15 Pro right next to my Deco WiFi 6 router. Result was about 70 down & 35 up.

        • 🤷‍♂️ seems fast enough for downloading apps and streaming, not denying your issue though. I notice sometimes my YouTube stutters like your kayo with tangerine and I'm on the 250 plan. Netflix is fine tho.

Most people's questions such as being a previous customer and cancellation notice are answered in the CIS which can be found on the OPs link.

    1. If you have any active More nbn® services or have previously held a More nbn® service, you are ineligible for
      this offer.

    2. This offer is offered on a no fixed term contract. You are free to cancel at any time without charge. However,
cancelling your service within the Promotional Period forfeits any remaining months of free nbn® plan fees.
Cancelling your service after the Promotional Period forfeits the Ongoing Discount

Can I get this NBN Promo after using the free Mobile 3-month offer? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/797661

    • Don't think so. For new customers only. But if you switch to other ISP like superloop then come back not sure? anyone can answer?

      • and if you have family member using commbank as well. maybe they can signup as new customer (same address)?

      • +2

        But the T&Cs say:
"You are a new More nbn® customer"
"If you have any active More nbn® services or have previously held a More nbn® service, you are ineligible for this offer."

I thought More Mobile is a different service to More nbn® service?

        • Should be fine as long as you're a new NBN customer. Just sigh up with a different email address/account I would reckon.

        • +1

I signed up for mobile and a month later for 1000/40 nbn plan. Availing both services as I type. Used same email to sign up for nbn. No issues.

  • Cheers OP! 🍻

Btw if anyone is wondering you can pick a future date for connection.

    • can I pick a connection date 3 months from now?

  • Is there any way to choose what port you get connected on for us FTTP users?

    • Also interested to know this

      • Just signed up, it let me click new or transfer.

        • So you just click new and they chuck you onto a different port?

          • @cheekymonkey97: I did transfer and they disconnected the old provider and connected themselves on the same port. Was a pretty easy process. Up and running with More in the last 30 mins :)

  • The speed is super slow compared to other ISPs.

I signup 350mbps plan. The maximum speed I got is 61 mbps download and 45 mbps upload. Is it normal for the more nbn?

  • Please stay away from this company, they deactivated my sim before giving me esim or any sort of service, I am out of service from past 2 hours and they are saying wait till tomorrow. My phone number is the only number I have and without that I cant do anything, Cant get OTPs.

  • Can I cancel my MORE nbn and use my wife's Commbank to sign up for a new MORE account for our home address?

  • Anyone used a BYO modem with these guys? I have a Sagemcom and am struggling to get the internet to work

    • I just got fttp connected this morning with a BYO modem(Asus AX86U) . You need to go to WAN settings and select PPPOE. Then put in username and password More sent to you by email earlier. Best of luck!

      • Tried that, no luck :( Called them up just then, they said put in "onlyadmin" as user/password. Still nothing. Bah

        • Use the credentials they sent to you in the welcome email. If you are copy & pasting, pay attention that you are not including any extra spaces.

If that still does not work, hook up a computer directly to your NTD and dial up via PPPoE. You should be able to see the detailed error on the computer.

          • @truetypezk: Have FTTN but did the dial up anyway.
            Error 651.
They've suggested i call Sagemcom.. not sure if they can help.
AussieBB had trouble getting me going too, but they did something on their end and got it working.
Thanks for the help anyway guys >.<

  • Good experience so far. Just signed up to the 50/20 yesterday around 3pm, then got the email saying that activation was complete at 5am this morning. Configured my ABB modem with the details they sent, easy peasy. Speeds seem ok, similar to what I had on ABB. 3 months free internet no lock in contract…couldn't resist

    Thanks for posting

  • Has anyone been able to sign up now for it to start at the end of the month?

  • I used this as temporary swap from More's sister company, Tangerine. Tangerine notified of a rate increase so I went shopping around but before switching I called Tangerine customer service and gave them a shot. Long story short they have switched me over to this deal for 3 months of free NBN then they'll swap me back to Tangerine for a discount from $80 per month to $75 for 50/20 speed (i'll shop around then too of course).

  • Could I sign up 2 different properties at the same time? Or would the first classify me as an existing customer when I do the second?

    • I'm wondering the same thing. Might try it in a few weeks

  • Signed up last month and connected 2 weeks ago without any issues. Went for the 1000/50, getting 430/43 at most. While disappointing this does meet the typical evening speed they stated. I was hoping for higher off-peak speeds though.

  • +2

Looks like they have changed the expiry date to 29/02/24

    • Nice, will get onto it by then

    • shucks, i was hoping to use this after the mobile promo

  • Just got my latest invoice and price jacked up to 115 - 10% ongoing..
was consistently $84 for the past two years 250/25 speeds
so looking to jump ship.. any ideas on how long till i'm considered a new customer again?

    • +3

I cancelled on 1 Nov and signed up again for free three months on 1 Dec, invoice showing $0 and got connected in a day.

  • Signed up for 100/20 however, speed capped at 50/20. Raised the case several times and was told it was my modem issue. I then connected a laptop directly to the NBN box, still 50/20. They came back to me saying there was no issue from MORE end or NBN end. It could be my cable issue. I then used another cable, speed was still capped at 50/20. Tried doing speed testing, not sure what went wrong, I will try to use another provider next year.

    • It will be either a NBN NTD issue or more than likely, a MORE line speed issue where they haven't applied the right speed profile to your account.

  • Can you switch to the -35% offer after 3 months?

    • Have you got any extra info on that? Did you sign up to 3 months free trial? Have you checked your commbank yello to see if the 35% off code offer is still there?

  • Can I sign up by 29/2/24 but activate around 30 March?

  • Anyone signed up mobile network? Cnan you leave after 3 months

    • I did, was relatively easy to disconnect. I just ported out on the day to a different provider.

      • Get ready for a surprise bill next month:)

        • I did get a surprise bill, created a ticket, they waived off the bill.

        • Also do you know why it happens? I plan to use their NBN offer, and dont want a surprise bill there too.

          • @kehuehue: I think it is just a delay in their system to actually register the cancellation. You will need to complete the cancellation at least 2 days before the billing date to not have a new charge.

On the bright side, they seem to have changed and willing to remove this charge at request without too much nonsense. They used to come up with all sorts of craps to defend this obvious erroneous charge.

  • Have anyone got both offer 3mnths free and 30% off for the following months?

    • I think it's possible. Online sales agents confirm this.

  • Tried switching to their NBN last night, just got a temp account number (used different email, mobile, but same card)

Still waiting on an email from them… they did say nbn would take 3-4 days to switch.

    Is that really the case?

    • same card as in you signed up to their service previously?

i am still waiting for email as well.

      • +1

        Yep

Got impatient and tried on my old account. No instant email or anything…. guess its really gonna take 1-3 days

Also now i have two activations pending lol

Edit: i got the nbn order confirmation email on the 2nd try (which was on old account)

Edit 2: its odd because i selected the 350mbps plan but in the email it says 1000..maybe 350 is the avg

  • Any hack to get this offer now ?
