Just to double check - Is that the slimline version washing machine?
Also, can you please link the appliance mounting mat?
Edit: double checking as the specs on my washing machine are as follows:
Width 600 mm
Depth 535 mmWhereas the specs on the heat pump dryer in questions are:
Width (mm) 595 mm
Depth (mm) 600 mmDoes the unit overhang due to the depth difference or does the mounting kit cater for the shortfall?
Bought my washer 5 years ago, but it was the normal size at the time.
@StonedWizard: Ahh makes sense. Also just confirmed with AO chat and they advised that my current slimline washing machine is not the right for this unit to be mounted due to the shortfall in the depth difference.. Will have to give it a pass for now..
Personally I’d go for a Beko Hybrid Heat pump dryer. Best of both worlds with the hybrid tech allowing quick drying when needed.
They also come with a redeemable 3 year additional warranty for a total of 5 years.
I’ve seen the 9kg mode for about $745 delivered online
Now that I've bought this, any tips on how to safely stack it on top of a much larger (15kg whopper) LG front loader? Looks like a stacking kit isn't an option because of the difference in dimensions, so I guess that just leaves a mat? Will that be sufficient? Any way to make it more secure?
I got these, they are quite sturdy, check to see ifbthe dimensions suit you
https://amzn.asia/d/iECVtPXThanks, my washing machine is too big (width and height) for this though. Also not really keen to spend an extra $200
My washing machine is 598x590 mm and the dryer is 600x595 mm. Would this be too big to stack on top of my washing machine?
the online chat of the website can provide precise information.
I have this exact question and am trying to confirm with AO chat. Is yours a Bosch Serie 6 10kg front loader by any chance and what was the outcome??
I don't see how Heat pump system doesn't produce moist. Water has to go somewhere, does it condense in a tray?
bingo
Or you can attach a hose and drain it into a sink or something, like a washing machine
Anyone have any recommendations on a dryer that can be wall mounted?
Will need to be a vented (traditional) one. Heat pump and condenser dryers are too heavy to wall mount.
Still going, price has reduced further. Just ordered for $474 delivered!
Hi can you tell me if yours was cancelled?
Ordered for $474, delivery date 25 June in Hornsby NSW
Hi can you tell me if yours was cancelled?
Not yet, order status is still 'order received'.
Ordered at 1130 last night, delivered 930 this morning. I'm in Brisbane.
Wow, nice!
Earliest I can get is mid June.
I really want a heatpump dryer to work for me financially, but it doesnt.
Currently using a Beko DV6120X vented dryer, which has a TRASH energy rating.
I do 3~ loads a week, taking 1.4kw each. Even at peak electricity, that's something like 60c a load, or $1.80 a week, or $93 a year.
Even assuming this dryer used no energy, it would take 5 years to pay itself back off - all while taking longer to dry. It's really hard to get the WAF, since the vented dryer is so much quicker, and the cost saving doesn't appear to be there for my situation.
I couldn't imagine getting $1200+ dryers to make their money back.
Well, the point it, the product on the deal is not a vented one
Yeah I would love to use a heat pump dryer… But just doesn't seem to pan out for my use case
That's a bit on the low side, most vented dryers use way more electricity, usually above 3kwh per load
From memory mine used about 4-5kwh per load
I'm using a smart plug. The dryer uses 2000w (steps up and down a kittle but mostly pegged at 2000) for around 40 minutes. That gives 1333w. ill have to check the kg, since it comes from a medium load out of a 5kg washing machine.
How do you measure your Kw that it uses?
I would love to do the same.Smart plug with energy monitoring. P110 tapo
Someone able to measure the distance of the feet for me. Not sure if i can stack ontop of my washing machine.
My width clearance is exactly 595 +/- 1mm - should I risk it?
No. I’d allow at least 1cm for vibration tolerance.
Thanks, I had a look through the AO website and couldn't actually find any dryer less wide than that :\
Ordered at 11.58 pm last night. Will be delivered around 10.30 am today
Wow, nice! Looks like NSW has to wait for a month.
Already delivered
@Mortin did they leave it at your door step and say 'See you later'?
Or did they carry it up any stairs, install, etc?@Lord Ra: They carried it, installed, plugged it in, tuned it on, explained all the maintenance, showed me how to operate, left and texted me later to give them a call if I need any further help
Also, would have taken away the older appliances as well
Anyone know what the dimensions are without the door? Trying to see If i can fit it on my 7.5 Hisense washer, which looks to have 45cm depth (without door).
I assume the 60cm depth is including the door on the Essato.
Measuring from the top (excluding door and all items at the back) it's 49.5 cm. Including door and rear cabling, hoses etc it's about 59-60cm
So actual base is also 49.5cm? Can anyone confirm base? My washing machine would be to slim for 59cm but I really want to pull the trigger
note 41kg so cant be wall mounted - id be all over it otherwise
I bought a Britec dryer stand
Use referral system so a lucky ozbargainer gets a future $50 off to use
Any deals on a front load washer with uv light?
Can this dryer be safely placed on a stone benchtop? We don't have a provision for the dryer in our laundry cabinet, and heat pumps are too heavy for Wall mounting.
Wow AO is now delivering to Tas, almost missed the bargain.
Thanks OP bought!
Anyone in NSW been able to receive theirs this month?
Ordered mine on the 5th May and arranged for delivery today. It arrived and when I first turned it on, the lint filter warning came on. Strange considering it hadn’t been used and looked clean. I removed the maintenance flap and looked at the heat exchanger fins. Do they look bent?
They are bent but not anything unusual for an air conditioner / heat pump. A lot of aircon installs have worse bends. You can use a air conditioner comb, or leave it. It won't affect performance
I called Appliances Online and they’re sending a replacement next week, they didn’t ask for photos.
Mine had the warning light on as well, just delivered today.
Have a look at this forum
I think that it should disappear when you start it.
Read through the post. Seems like a common fault with the machine. I guess if I get a machine with straight fins I won’t worry about the light.
Please let us know if the replacement's light still on when you receive it, thanks!
The promo video on the product page does have the lint filter light on when selecting the programs, I think that it's normal.
Mine looks the same
My door does not open easily. I have to pull really hard and push really hard. Is that normal? I do not want to beak this
My door is harder to open than my previous dryer. I have to use two hands: one on the body to prevent it from moving, and one on the door.
Never heard of this brand, I'm assuming it's a 'cheap' brand? Mum started talking about getting a heat pump dryer to replace the 20yr old fisher paykel. Harvey Norman were like $1100 (expected), which was too expensive, but this price fits the bill.
I notice it's 7-star energy. Is there much difference between a 7, 8, or 9 star?
Does this come with a show-drying rack?
Never had a dryer before and tempted to get h tbh is as my first. Not much room to place indoors, just wondering if these go outside (under an awning)? Does it just need the power outlet and no hoses/sink?
Thats what I’m planning on doing with mine. Will be outside in an open air carport. Surely will be better than drying anything outside in winter or inside for days over the heater vent.
Hi All,
Got it delivered yesterday from this deal.
How did you guys connect the dryer waste point to the laundry waste trap inlet? The dryer connector is way too small. Is there something at Bunnings that’s an adapator?
Also did you guys manage to lengthen the pipe as it’s too far away from the waste trap inlet at my place.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Just empty the pull out drawer at the top left, you must clean the filter everytime and i am also cleaning the condenser after each use
Hi. So basically no need to connect the water waste outlet?
Rigth, not needed
I put the hose into a p trap hole of my washing machine and used silicone to seal the gaps. It's been amazing. No more emptying the tray
Just had mine delivered today. Delivery guys were super friendly and took away the box and all the packaging.
Installed it in my carport area and already used it to dry a set of sheets, a bunch of mixed clothes and a doona cover and pillow cases.
All dried in the ‘mixed’ drying cycle which takes approx 1hr50.
So far so good.
Man you're lucky! They just called and cancelled mine.
Can confirm successful price match at Bunnings from 589 to 480 using the appliances online price of 534 (eBay had stock!).
It’s just up to the discretion of the person at the counter as it’s a EHPD802W at Bunnings instead of 800. Anyway it worked!
Was it free delivery as well?
It was not. But we wanted to grab one rather sooner than later and picked it up locally, so it worked out well. It's running now and is quieter than I thought. First cycle only took 1hr too (half a load). Let's see how long it lasts.
Mine is already making a high pitched noise now. I shuved in an Ikea King size feather down. It failed to dry it and started this noise
Anyone else get advised this has been discontinued?!
What discontinued?
This dryer. Got offered the Onix ON-HPD8W instead.
Ohh no, just took my clothes out of it
Just got a call , same offer Onix ON-HPD8W instead , came to check if someone got the call
@Hellfire: I got the Onix for $0 more (after initially being advised I needed to pay the difference up to $600)
@eddie.s23: Jumping on this - just followed up w AO and they also offered the Onix for the same price. Took them up on the offer and was offered next day delivery. Was told it has a larger capacity (8 kg vs 7kg of the Esatto) and also 8 star energy efficiency rating compared to the 7 star for the counterpart. Pretty happy with that outcome - seeing mostly positive reviews of the unit (Onix) online too.
@A female dog: Did your Onix come with a sponge filter? Manual shows the removable filter is two part = cloth layer and a sponge filter, but mine didn't come with a sponge filter.
@epaps23: Hey mate, just checked and no, it didn’t come with it. Might be worth a follow up with AO.
Just got the call from AO, advised they have hundreds of orders to cancel. If you haven't received your dryer yet, assume it isn't coming.
I didn't take the offer of the Onix, might regret that but was pretty annoyed and felt put on the spot.
I also passed on the Onix as it specifically states it couldn't be stacked (I can't see why, but wasn't willing to risk it). After a bit of back and fourth, I just got them AO to cancel the order. Disappointing.
Didn't realise that but I definitely need to stack. Guess I'll wait for another deal to come up, luckily I don't need it urgently
Yeah just got the call, free swap to onix on-hppd8w model. Seems to have ok reviews, delivery tomorrow.
I said No to Onix, don't know what it is, never heard about the brand.
I got called today about the cancellation, the (Tas) delivery date was due to be next week - the earliest I could get (pretty poor imo).
I also got a call saying that the Essato was discontinued and I could get the Onix free of charge as an alternative.
Just got another call this morning saying they've managed to secure the Essato from another supplier and delivery will come Monday.
It seems to be available again on their website for Sydney.
Its available again but no discount code any more..
Bought this one from Samsung for $699 instead.https://www.samsung.com/au/washers-and-dryers/dryers/?srslti…
After initially getting changed to the Onix dryer, just got another call today advising that the Onix was on backorder and got offered the Beko BDPB8010W at no extra cost. Took them up on that offer.
Mines mounted on top of my WV5 with an appliance mounting mat.
