  • Sorry link is from email and not working - try this one…

    http://www.woolworths.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/website/woolwor…

    • +1

Wasnt able to click the link, but you may find that links are specific to your account.

The link in my offer is unique.

You need to click on the link in your email to activate your offer.

  • +10

Looks like this offer varies per everyday rewards card holder. My offer is $15 for $50 spend each three weeks.

    • Same

    • A measly $15 after spending $150 for things you might not need? I'll pass, woolies can go shove it..

      • +1

Yeah I hate when I get free stuff for spending on things I need anyway

    • Lucky! I must shop too much at woolworths because I have to spend $75/week to get that same amount.

  • +2

I think these offers are specific to your everyday rewards. I got the same email, and except it was $15 credit for $150 spend.

I doubt you will be eligible to "activate" the offer if you didn't get the email. I'm pretty sure it's linked to your everyday rewards card number (not account)

    • +1

      .

    • I activated the offer. Never got an email. $15 for $75/week. Bit of a ask since I usually spend like $30-$40/week at woolies.

  • I got a $20 gift card offer for $100 spent each week for three weeks

    • Same.

    • +1

Same, although I can't help but think this offer is too much effort for me to bother.

  • Mine's a $50 offer for $220/week

  • +1

I was gonna post this but thought it would be reliant on the email you received. I got the offer with different numbers; $30 gift card for $135 spend. Hopefully you will all get the exclusive email from woolies and activate to receive your bonus ;)

  • Oops.

  • +5

My offer was Tasmania or a block of flats if I spend $1,000,000, Woohoo…can't wait!! FYI only, regret these offers can't be shared….:-(

    • +8

take the block of flats ;)

      • Yeah. You would go broke trying to get home insurance for Tasmania.

  • +3

Link to the generic offer to see your own:
    http://everydaypromos.com.au/cash4easter/

    Update OP please

    • +1

      Good work +1

  • mine is $15 reward for $75 per week. i think wow send the offer according to individual spending patterns.

    • Yep I got that one…. must be related in some way to your normal weekly spends …

    • Coles has been doing that for a long time.

      • ? I assume you meant Woolies.

        • +2

Coles also send coupons depending on your spending. I got $10 off a $50 shop every week for 8 weeks. The lady in front of me at the register one day got $20 off a $50 shop, but said she tends to spend a couple of hundred per week, whereas I don't spend anything near that.

        • Thanks sparkles, that's what I meant.

    • interesting … cause mine is $15 reward but only $50 spend

  • +2

540 dollar minimum spending and all they've got to reward the loyalty is 7pc, Coles is better.

    • +1

You will find both Coles and Woolies are the same. They penalise you for your loyality. I normally shop at Coles, so my offers would be higher spend to get a miniscule benefit. On the other hand Woolies is now offering $15 for $50*3.

It is a no win either way.

  • -7

Mine is a different deal, this belongs in the forums. Not specific!

    • Hardly worth the neg, it's account specific but you're still entitled to the free gift card based on spending.

      • -2

Why not? its for existing members and individually targeted. Besides each person gets a specific email of what offer they are entitled to, they also have to activate it. So this deal is complete rubbish!

          1. Just because it's for existing members does not make it rubbish.
          2. You don't even need the email, the link has been provided.
          3. You make it sound as if activating it is a problem, you simply click a button.
          4. It doesn't matter that it's account targeted, from the sounds of things the minimum gift card value is $15. "Free money" from completing your weekly shopping is not complete rubbish.
        • +2

so you're negging the deal because you fall outside the demographic… sour grapes much ?

  • I think they work it out off how much you normally spend.
    I will usually spend $150 - $250 a week.. so I got the spend $180 get $40

  • +1

It is rather unfair how they give some people better deals compared to others. I got to spend $75 each week for 3 weeks and get $15 while others got spend $50 each week. I don't regularly use my rewards card so how will they know my spending pattern. Coles gave me coupons but it is like spend $50 every fortnight and get $5 off while some get spend $50 every week.. I shop a lot with coles and use my flybuys card, so in effect they are not rewarding loyal customers.

They should just be consistent to everyone.

  • You can make up the required amount over the course of the week, right? Doesn't have to be in one go?

    • +1

Yep it can be multiple transactions

  • -4

This website is so full of group think its retarded.

    • +3

What are we thinking? I want to be on board.

      • -1

Looks like Expon has been hitting the bottle after people didn't agree with his original comment.

    • +8

Perhaps you should learn how to string 10 words together coherently ahead of worrying what others say or think.

Let's compare this deal post to some of yours as I'm sure you must have posted some absolutely stellar offers seeing as how you're so concerned over this one not being any good…

Well I must say I'm both shocked and horrified, it seems that you've been a member since 2010 and haven't posted a single deal! This comes as a huge surprise to me, I was honestly expecting to see some amazing deals in your portfolio and all I found was a hollow vacuum.

    • So is that goodbye Expon?

    • Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter, Expon.

Earlier I was thinking of using my ING Orange Everyday card to buy a couple of gift cards (via PayWave in "batches" of less than $100) over the next 3 weeks to make up the required "qualifying amount". The obvious reason is to get the 5% cashback from ING.

Not sure whether purchase of giftcards can be counted towards the qualifying amount, however, I read through the T&Cs and it appears that only the purchase of "WISH" gift cards are being excluded (based on the following paragraph):

"To be eligible to receive a Gift Card under this Promotion, a Registered Cardholder must spend at least the Qualifying Amount at a Participating Outlet on Woolworths grocery items (excluding Woolworths Liquor, smoking and tobacco products, WISH GIFT CARDS and SELECTED SERVICES), in either a single transaction or in multiple transactions (online transactions must be delivered during the promotional week), in each of the following weeks……."

In other words, the purchase of other gift cards (such as BIG-W gift card, Essentials gift card, Caltex Woolworths gift card, Woolworths gift card, iTunes…etc) should qualify…at face value at least…

When I called up the EveryDayRewards customer service line this morning (to ascertain my interpretation of the T&Cs), I have been advised that purchases of ANY giftcard will NOT count towards the qualifying amount.

Is it possible that the terms "selected services" (that are articulated in the T&Cs) may extend to the restriction associated with the purchases of any gift card (as described above)?

  • i got $20 off $100.

  • +1

Mum was sent an offer for spend $275, get $50 (around 6%). I have no idea why it's so high, we never spend anywhere near that amount per week.

However, we have two other cards linked to the same account so I checked what the spend criteria for those was. One card is spend $100, get $20 (6.6%) and the other card (my card, which I use very little) is spend $50, get $15 (10%).

So moral of the story is that if any of you have linked cards, have a look and see which offer is most achievable to you, and then use that card for your shopping just for the next couple of weeks :)

    • +2

I have no idea why it's so high, we never spend anywhere near that amount per week.

that's exactly why… they want you to spend more

      • Yeah of course it should be higher than the usual spend, that's the idea of it, but it should at least be achievable. Usually they set a requirement around $50/week higher, this is more than that

        • +1

Yeah no way I'm going to achieve mine, $180/week for $40 giftcard. being a 2 pensioner household, lol.

    • My card, which I swipe when the total is over $30, gets me $30 on $135. My daughter's, which has sat in a draw since it was registered 3 years ago gets $20 off $100.
I think as well as profiling to match reqrd to spend, there is also some A/B testing to see who is motivated by how much.

  • Thanks! $15 for $50 spend :)

  • do petrol stations count?

    • There is some good news that two of the booze retailers and Big W are included, where some big money is able to be spent to help reach your weekly minimum spend.

      • @Crownanchor,
Can you link the T&C's, I signed up for the deal, but I can't see those details anywhere..
        Cheers

        • It says in the email with this promo, earn points shopping with our partners. Guess this could mean something else. Will check t&c.

      • +1

        Hi
Its just woolworths sadly…Check the FAQs. Sneaky branded placement on sign up page!
The fact that Dan murphys wasn't there and Dick smith wasn't there and Big W, BWS WAS there
led me to believe that Big W was included but NOT SO! Deliberate on Woolworths part - shockingly sneaky!

  • +1

Guys, let me know what you think, I have heard and have even considered it myself that when stores do promotions like these, is it possible that during the periods of the promotions, the prices may be increased or at the very least there are less sale items and discounted items and hence they make the money back anyway with the influx of extra shoppers determined to spend a certain amount of cash per visit?

    • You maybe right, and given just 2 weeks ago there were many super specials at Woolies, and staff members asking for your card to swipe.

Lookout for the woolies specials posts comming up from my groceries, that should give a good indication.

    • The prices at Woolies seem to be good, some attractive sale prices, although some of the sale items are slightly higher, Doritos were $1.59 ea last week now they are 2 for $4. or the 2 mini Tim Tams last week for $3, now they are $1.89 each

  • $40 for $180/week

  • $15 reward for $50 spend per week

  • $15 gift card for $75 spend over 3 weeks. Considering that I spend around $50 a week with Woolworths, I won't be going out of my way for this promotion.

  • +1

$15 for $50/week spending here. I've shifted most of my shopping across to Coles because for the limited range of products I buy, Coles is usually cheaper. Coupled with the fact that Coles offered an 8c/L discount on LPG for months before Woolworth's joined the party, and my local Caltex/Woolworth's service stations didn't have PayWave (no ING 5% off), my spending plummeted at Woolworth's.

  • +1

too expensive buy just to get those gift cards…no way i'll spend that much over such short amount of time…doesn't interest me this one…

  • +2

$15 for $50x3. Woolies can shove it. I spend maybe $30 a month there.

  • $40 card/$180 spend

I'll spend that anyway, so it's a bonus for me

  • mine was $15 for $50 spend… not as good as their previous offer which was $5 credit for $50 spend, received that offer twice only a few weeks before this one.
also not as good as the flybuys voucher received for coles $10 off $50 min spend.

  • In the T&C- Promotion is not applicable in Tasmania.

    Useless!

  • Spend $100 each week for three weeks ???? for a $20 cash back

    seriously spend $300 for $20…..

    oh please…!!!

  • MyBus tickets from Sydney CBD Woolies should to the trick.

  • Ours is spend $300 for $20, we spend that anyway. Thanks OP

  • We were 'offered' 40 bucks for 180 x 3 weeks…so… $179 on week 2 = deal gone.
These guys treat us like total mugs. Off to Foodland. Everyone should boycott this 'deal'
as the sign up page heavily implies that Big W is included - They are not!

These guys are rogues - let this go and shop elsewhere…surprised they didn't offer a 2c discount towards
your fuel that they added 4c to beforehand!

Wake up and smell the coffee people. Don't shop there again or just buy the deals in bulk(and don't forget to swipe your card so they know all about it)

Off to Foodland to save more than this in one shop.

  • +1

The trick is to never use the card unless there is a special deal. Even though I shop at Woolies all the time I only swipe the card when there's something good. As you know they're not interested in 'Loyal' customers, they're interested in getting the other ones. That's fine by me. Happy to play the game.
(Don't care much for FF points anyway)

    • So what do you mean by special deal?

  • Mine is spend $50 x 3 weeks get $15 reward

  • Thanks gimme. Interesting point and definately taken on board. Cheers.

I would love to know peoples take on the sign up page to this and the brands listed below…
Big W is there but most retail partners are not and thus heavily implies Big W are part of this deal…
    They are not. So dodgy!
We spend 120/130 a week at woolies and were offered the 180 x 3 deal for 40 bucks….er… no thanks!
540 for 40 would be kind of ok if it was one mega shop I guess but one slip up in one week and you lose all the deal! Do we live in Las Vegas?

    Big Brother is watching you…

  • +4

So there's 7 different combos, you can find them by changing the letter in mainpic_x when viewing the email in a browser. I think they've all been mentioned above anyway but here they are:

Type Gift Card Weekly Spend x3 Gift Card as % of total spend
    a $15 $50 $150 10%
    b $15 $75 $225 6.67%
    c $20 $100 $300 6.67%
    d $35 $135 $405 8.64%
    e $40 $180 $540 7.41%
    f $50 $220 $660 7.58%
    g $50 $275 $825 6.06%
    • Nice table. Would be interesting to set up a 7 way poll to get a idea of the OzB spend distribution. I'm sure they send victims^Wcustomers the offer that's the next bracket above their normal spend. Loyalty is punished.

      • yes that's pretty much how it works. Ironically 'loyalty' cards are exploited in the exact opposite way by vendors.

  • I signed up, and im happy with my $15 for 50 bucks per week

  • $100 per week for 3 weeks just to get a $20 voucher? No thanks…

  • I have 3 everyday reward cards which have "spend 50 for 3 weeks get $15". But I only spend $15 in WWS this week. just don't know what to buy.

    • You could always buy nada, zip, zilch, nothing.

  • does anyone know if you can add your everyday rewards to a docket after the purchase. I was talking when I was buying a shredder (sale for $20) anf the girl did not swipe my card. so can I ring them and they will add it?

  • Just got confirmation email for first week, was a bit iffy about it since I bought 8 Ski Yoghurts in separate transactions with the coupon as part of the total, but luckily the card doesn't seem to care that the t&cs said 'Only one coupon redemption per person is to be permitted'.

  • Confirmation emails are being sent out today.
