      I wonder why it was canceled instead of back ordered.

    Been a follower as OZbargain for years, I have to register in the first time to tell everyone this mobilecity is totally posing a false advertisement to draw people's attention.

    I placed order for the Razer Blackwidow 2013 Expert Mechanical Gaming Keyboard sales on 20th Nov 13. At the time of checking out, obviously suffered from stuck and crash of all sorts on my iphone, It ASKED my credit card details and said nothing about back order. It showed I placed a order but the status showing pending since.
    Until last night, I had to write a email to this website to ask about, then they replied me by saying 'Thanks for your email. Unfortunately we could not process your order at the moment as your payment didn't go through.'
    But usually when you placing an order on the internet, if the card cannot be accepted, it will reject your order.

    Now when I am calling them, one of their representative, Jay Seng, saying the payment didn't go through, and it would be my responsibility to make sure payment is successful. Okay, but there is no clue about my credit card is not working either in your website or at the time of placing the order. and he added also there is no stock available so even I pay now, they cannot supply this stock.

    I totally understand this is very limited stock for this sale. but If you don't have enough stock,I should have been rejected in the first place not until after you taking my credit card details and found there is no stock, and do not cancel the order or phone or email my about the situation.

    I strongly recommend ozbargain website should ban this website, at least fore a while and ozbargainers should be extremely careful with this so called serving Australia 13 years dumb astroturfing company. They can accept your credit card details and payments even they are knowing no stock.

    I've noticed that my order 100059216 was canceled. The $36.50 refund hasn't shown back up in my bank account, how long would that take? And could i also get the 200 reward points back for the purchase.

    • You can re-open the ticket. Just go back into the ticket and where it says closed you can actually click open and post a new message. I did this last night and received a reply this afternoon.

    I am having same problem. BS if you have a deal and you take money you should honour it.

    Especially since a lot of us spend hours with their crappy hosting to purchase it.

  • I ordered Razer Anansi Expert MMO Gaming Keyboard, was in stock (did not say Out of stock like some other products). Never got an update to the order until I checked Friday and now it says Back order. No notification, nor did it say they were out of stock.

    Emailed them Friday, got a response today saying "The back order status is actually been displayed before you check out in "my shopping cart". The system have alerted you that if you continue with the check out your order would be back ordered".

    Now i never saw anything like that. I went back to the site and tried to order another product that was "Out of stock" and the site does not let you as there is no "Add to cart" button.

    Now im stuck in limbo, with no answer about the keyboard and no idea if i'll even get it.

    Order got cancelled as well as they can't fulfill it.
    MobileCiti, if you can't fulfill an order in the future, please do not allow people to place orders. This creates unnecessary expectations.

  • Just called their online ordering line - apparently we'll be hearing within the next 1-2 days about our orders. I imagine it's going to be a "sorry, unable to source lol"

    Absolutely pathetic. I ordered my razer mouse last week, it was still in stock, they held my money. And today i get an email saying my order was refunded. No reasoning, just refunded.
    They didn't even put it on backorder or anything. Avoiding MobilCiti in the future.

    This is a joke. Just got this after days of no response:

    "The item you have purchased has been oversold. But we are still trying our best to source more stock from distributors to fulfill your backorder. We should be able to let you know if we can fulfill your back order later today. If we are not able to source any more of this item anytime soon, we would have no option but to cancel this order. "

    This is terrible customer service. I pointed out the fact that it showed stock when I ordered and it is still available on their website and they ignored my response and send me the same email again. If they cancel discounted orders and then restock the product to sell at full price that is absolutely disgraceful.

        I sent them a reply straight back saying that I do not want my order cancelled, that there is plenty of stock of this mouse in the country including from the manufacturer themselves (you can buy it in stock from the Razer AU site online) and about 5 minutes after I sent it I got a Paypal refund notification.

        Disgraceful.

        And after all that you can still buy it on their site right now.

        They obviously just wanted the advertising from a sale, but didn't want to fulfil orders so are just cancelling all those they didn't want to fulfil. I bet they restock this mouse (and all the other cancelled items) at full price.

        And yet you can still process the order and they still debit your card/PayPal, which is quite strange since Jay from support told me that they have exhausted all channels and cannot stock this item.

        How hard is it to mark an item "Out of stock" if you can't stock it? Other items on their website seem to have it marked correctly. This makes me believe they can restock it, they're just choosing only to restock for people who are paying their RRP.

    I made my order(razer blackwidow tournament edition) an hour after this deal was posted and it also got cancelled/refunded.

    Makes me think if they were going to honour any orders at all or they just werent true to their word.

    Looks like no one got what they ordered…

    They must have like 2 of each item or something, which is understandable. I think it's a decent online shop but need to get their act together and provide a real-time update to their inventory on the site. If they know they can't source more of the product then they should take them off the site RIGHT NOW.

    Currently I assume I can still try to order without discount but will get a 'order cancelled' status after a few days. If they somehow source new stock when you pay full price then this shop has some serious problems. Under current circumstances and with benefit of the doubt I will attempt to buy from them again in the future.

      over 90% the order has been fulfilled.

      Thanks for your suggestion about real-time stock inventory update, normally we do sync inventory between our ERP system and website, during frenzy deal period our web server was overload couldn't sync properly with ERP server.

      Please overview our previous post, definitely is not our interest to upset our customers.

    Yep, got my order cancelled as well - saying that they couldn't source it from their suppliers.

    While disappointed, I'm glad they did the refund within minutes of me receiving the notification.

    But I'm staying away from them in the future. They go in the same list with Fishpond.

    • They have had your money for about a week, I would guess they have had no plan on honouring this deal, I think it was over looked when they did the click frenzy.

      The way they have dealt with it with no comment and ignoring it has made it worse.

          Why can't we find one person on here who got their Razer gear then?
          What was the % of Razer orders that were filled?
          Why did it show "Out of stock" on some items but others allowed us to keep ordering?
          Why did it take a week for you to realise you didn't have stock?
          Why did some of your items magically appear as "back in stock" at full price again?

          There are a LOT of unanswered questions that don't add up here. I don't care if you are "Mobile phone and accessories" - you offered these items for sale and reaped all the free advertising that came with it. I don't think your customers really care if you "tried your best" or not - the end result was the same.

        • They refunded one of my order but kept one at backorder as well. Not sure why. And actually I don't mind for it to be backorder for 2 months because none of them are urgent anyway.

    Please complain this issue to ACCC (1300 302 502). I've already called them this morning to highlight the issue. ACCC logged the issue and said that investigation will proceed if there are enough of the same complains.

    Just to illustrate what a lie they are. They sent me an email stating that they didn't have stock, while listing that they have 28 stocks on ebay at full price.

      Sorry for not able to fulfill all the razer back order.

      Our eBay stock inventory are managed manually, when stock sold out on our website, doesn't sync to ebay unless we manually edit it or end the listing.

          I mean "every backorder".

          We did try to order more stock to cover some backorders, currently over 90% of backorder has been fulfilled.

          We are not OP for this post, so we didn't get notification for comment update.

          I understand why more people not happy in this post. the post has been repost 8 hours after the deal been posted, lots hot product has been already sold when you guys saw this post and T&C has not been mentioned.

          I am really sorry for those order we are not able to fulfill, I will make sure keep monitor all the post/comment here, I also try more harder to negotiate some better deal to win your heart back.

          Any example of anyone receiving the Razer products you sold? I haven't been able to see a single one after a quick scan.

          Can anyone who actually received a Razer product from the sale please reply? Or Mobileciti are you able to give some approx. figures as to how many of, say, the Deathadder 2013 mouse you had in stock for the sale?

          I'd like to know how many units you actually had.

          And you know I've been emailing you non-stop, you have them all and can work out who I am from my username.

    Kogan'd. Why is there stock available now and why can I order it just fine,when I just received an email cancelling my order for deathadder mouse 4.0. I expect it to be unavailable for some time if your were "unable to source stock". Unfortunately you don't understand the long-term concept of customer relations marketing, stop looking at a short term saving and think about the long-term prosperity of your business.

      Have review our past post, We have been invest lot $$ to support to OZB deal, we are not try to save money to cancel your order, the main reason for the cancelled order was not able to source enough stock to cover every back order.

        Well it took over 3 hours to place my order and in hindsight it really was not time well spent as I have had both my orders cancelled 3 days away from each other. This is a very disappointing act from a somewhat reputable retailer and I sincerely hope that they will try and rectify this situation or at least attempt to compensate people for their wasted time and effort. However, judging from the absolute lack of remorse from this store rep an event such as this occurring will be extremely unlikely at best. I will definitely join others in reporting their act to the ACCC and actively try to warn other members of the ozbargain community to steer well clear of any further posted "bargains" from this terrible store and the horrible customer service from its employees.

  • Got a refund for my deathadder and deathstalker… thought it would have been delivered by now, but apparently they have no stock so instantly gave me a refund without asking if i wanted to wait longer (which i would have been happy to)

    Will be sure to neg every new post about Mobileciti in future, and will point to this.
    Also not sure why it took them 8 days to work out that they couldn't source the product.
    We should receive 20%pa interest, equivalent to credit card interest rates, for holding onto our funds for so long.
