Woolies are going to find on 3rd out that they now have way too many friends that what they thought!

  • Anyone know if pre paid phone/internet recharge vouchers would be excluded from this?

  • -1

@phone-charges: +the sound of tumbleweeds from any reps / associated w' wow co. :S

(otherwise would 've been 2x $40/750 voda [email protected] for myself after groceries)

  • I have a $30 woolworths card from the "Spend $100 for 3 weeks in a row" deal I did a few weeks ago. I will be able to use it and get an extra 15% off with this deal right (if I spend over $100 on groceries)?

    • I'm not sure what you are asking. The 3 week $100 for $30 card ended on September 28, outside the timeframe on the above promotion. I doubt you'll receive the $30 gift card to spend before the above promotion ends.

We still won't know until October 3 whether the family and friends deal will stack with an Everyday Rewards card as per my comment above.

      • No I already have a $30 card from the promotion before that, it expires on the 31/10/2014.

        • I'm guessing the card can be used as a payment method. The promotion above doesn't say anything about how you pay for the balance of the transaction.

  • Has this deal been confirmed by any reliable source?

    • +1

A Woolworths staff member posted a duplicate deal for the same promotion earlier today so it sounds like the deal is actually out there.

  • +10

To all those planning to take advantage of this offer, if you have an AMEX and have been offered this deal I posted https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/163380
Combine the 2 for even better value. Thnx

  • Just had a look at their specials and they are pretty ordinary as expected…

    • +1

Yeh not too many good deals even on essentials

  • +1

Correct me if I'm wrong but you'd also be able to use your 5% off Woolworths gift cards for savings of 20%

    • Yeh you should be able too

    • +1

      *19.25% saving.

      • Why 19.25%?

        • +9

          Maths bro that's why

        • Spend $100, pay $85.
Use Entertainment Book gift cards: to get $85 worth, it cost $80.75.

Therefore, you saved $19.25 from the shop of $100 - therefore 19.25%

        • 1 - 0.95x0.85

  • Like others I wonder if this includes phone recharge credit. If it does and you can stack this with the amex online credit back then can you order phone rechargea online?

$225.40 saved $43.81, total $187.59 (inc $6 Del Fee). Didn't bother splitting orders and use both codes twice (not sure if you can!). Will order more on weekend anyways!
Total groceries purchased was $441, so $253 saved…oh and used 5% off WGC, so in reality $178.21 total and $262 saved:)

  • +1

    Confirmed stackable:

    Sub Total $179.98

It's strangely normal. Their database often goes offline at roughly this time of the morning, presumably for some sort of maintenance/update. Annoying because this is the time of day I'm most likely to use the site.

Thanks bought 600 cans of cat food for the whole year !

    • Did you buy them in-store? I need to purchase a years worth too- says product un-available online :(

  • Hmm. My click and collect order doesn't show up under Track My Order, and can't find a record of the order anywhere else. Not sure if that's normal - was trying to find where to change the pickup window if needed and what the cutoff would be. FAQ says:

Can I change the time of my collection once my order has been placed?
Yes. You can change the collection time of your order at any time up to 30 minutes prior to the cut off time. Simply click " Account History" and select "Change Time". The day and time selector will be shown for you to select a new pick up time.

Couldn't find an 'Account History' page.

    • +1

You can look up your C&C using the My Orders link at the bottom of the page towards the left.

      • Thanks. I'm apparently an inattentive idiot this morning.

  • Dag… I just did a $88 shop just last night!

  • -1

It's about time they had this, they are simply over priced compared to Aldi and some others where they sell the same stuff.

    • -2

For many items, Aldi branded items are of lower quality compared to 'upmarket' third party brands in WW and Coles (not talking about Home Brand/Select here).

  • We're currently participating in the "spend over $30 every week for 4 weeeks to get $50 worth of shopping for free" promotion, offered by everyday reward.
Would we be able to entre everyday reward card details while checking out online shopping and get it recognised as a valid shopping? Thanks

    • Just found out its in store purchase only

      • Uh what? That spend $xx offer should be available online too, check the Terms and Conditions.

  • If ur doing it online it won't work. But in store might be diff

  • Now what can I buy for $100, already stocked up on toilet paper, don't really need 100 litres of pepsi

    • +1

      100 litres of Coke?

      • That's $1 a litre as well ?

    • +2

topped up my opal card (sydney transport) with $100, worked nicely

      • Did you save 15%?

        • +4

I did, MET Centre/Wynard Sydney. According to the guy on the phone the maximum balance on an OPAL card is $250.

      • I thought 15% only applied on purchases $100.01 or above. $100 would have got you a 10% discount according to the T&Cs

        • +1

Good question, i did purchase some other stuff as well…so i can't really say. Might work with $100 spend though, since it says "$100 OR more".

  • Can you just key in the barcode number manually with the "key in an item" button at the self serve checkouts?

    • No, Woolies checkouts don't have that button. You could try and scan from your phone or show the attendant and get them to type it (but that would depend on the store or attendant).

  • Did anyone get the "Bonus Week" offer after completing three weeks of $100 shops for a $30 voucher? You are supposed to get $15 voucher at bottom of your docket if you spend more than $100. I wonder if you still get that voucher after using this flier?

    • I have that same offer. There's some discussion on page 1 suggesting that it may not let you scan your EDR card.

I won't be shopping til tomorrow, hoping someone else tests it out before then!

My shop is likely to be around $120, so I'll be doing the 15% off first, then scan my card after and hope I get both offers.

      • +1

I can confirm that this works. I had the same offer email and scanned my EDR card first then handed over the 25% voucher. I got 25% off the total bill and there was my personalised $15 off voucher at the bottom of the receipt.

I also tried to add on the $10 off $100 spend paper voucher but it wouldn't stack with the 25% off, even though it's been confirmed to online.

Cheers Op and all the others who post info like this it's greatly appreciated.

        • Thanks. Though, not sure what you meant by 25% voucher? The offer here is 15% off for a $100+ spend.

        • +1

          @nismo:

Whoops yes that's a phone typo. I did mean the 15% family and friends offer.

    • Thanks, yes it did work. Went ballistic on my stock up items, all my brands were on special already. It was Ozbargain heaven. And after that I was given $15 more to spend! Now to do it all again…

  • thanks OP

  • did anyone try using this discount for phone recharge cards or Opal top ups?
    will it work?

  • ouch.. got this from the work but not included to post it. one brave soul here…

  • +1

I can confirm I got 7 Telstra recharge vouchers via self check out with 15% off.

    • How do you get recharge vouchers at self check out? I thought you could only get them at the cigarette counter?

      • +4

At the bottom of the screen theres an option that says recharge.

  • Has anyone been able to confirm the discount works for OPAL card recharge/purchases yet?

    Thanks

  • I assume the saveten14 only works for online order ?

If we go to store, an only use 15% + amex $20 offer ?

    thanks

    • +1

The Amex deal is for Woolworths Online only

  • -2

Great deal for stocking up on beer.

    • I guess so, if by deal you mean pay full price with no discount or promotion applicable, or the alcohol-free coopers etc?

This doesn't include BWS, its purely woothworths only.

      • -2

Wrong. I just bought beer, bourbon and rum with 15% off from Woolworths online.

Get your facts straight, especially before you be a prick to someone else and instead make yourself look the fool

        • That's a prick that can read, and has refused the use of the voucher to people attempting it.

          Fine print specifically states:

          Discount excludes purchases of Liquor

I would think yourself lucky you were able to circumvent it by purchasing online, but do not give people the impression that they would have been able to use it to purchase liquor as it was just setting them up for disappointment of an unwinable agreement in store.

  • +1

just bought mybus travelten tickets from woolies at metcentre sydney CBD - confirm that the 15% applies. Just make sure its over $100 to get the 15%!

    • What about Opal?

      • +1

        Confirmed by ElWircho above.

  • What if:

You buy $100 gift card + 1 apple to go overt $100 = 15% discount you pay $85
Then, you go shopping with your $100 gift card that you paid $85 and you spend $100.01 that will cost you $85.
You still have $15 on your gift card xD

    Total cost = $70 for $100 shopping ! nah?

    • Excludes giftcards. They remmebered to put this condition on the WW promotion. They forgot on the Big W one.

  • Can someone please confirm if you can buy MyBus Travel Ten and Opal card top-up with this deal?

    • i can confirm mybus traveltens
      elwircho confirmed opal above

  • I am really really happy. Thanks OP and Woolies
