    • A link for this please? Just wanna have a look

Don't even understand what all these versions about. What is GCN

    • Hi im interested in getting one of these too … what do you mean by $287 + cash back ?
Is there an additional cashback you get after 287 ? ie cheaper than 287 ?

Or do you mean you bought it for $287 after 20% ?

      • $287 + extra 2% cashback from Cashrewards.
Some Korean and Japanese tv programs but no real time TV I think. You can search TVPAD 4 more more details.

  • I am after a PS4. What is the cheapest one? $559 from Kogan? please help

      • thanks picked up the white PS4 and GTAV for just under 500. Hope there aren't any better Easter specials coming up. Oh well….

Holy crack on a cracker. I have been surfing the ozbargain site for nearly a year now and I have finally decided to sign up as a member. Thank you for saving me ~$50 on a Logitech G910 Keyboard from Dicksmith. I was hesitating to buy this keyboard for a very long time, but this price is too good even with the falling AUD/USD rate. THANK YOU!!!

    • RIP replies

  • Did Kogan jack their prices? LG G3 is a fair bit more expensive, compared with their website.

    • Yes, the iPad Air 2 64GB wi-fi models were increased by $80 or so whilst I was browsing the site.

  • Thanks OP.

  • So looked at getting a spare TV for the study, the 32" Samsung one. Appliances Online have 15% off the marked price and then another 20% off with the coupon. $150 shipping…..

  • Got a Hisense 145L chest freezer for $255 down from $319. Absolute bargain, thanks OP!!

  • Just got ipad mini 2 64gb cellular space grey from Kogan for $451. Although old stock, retina display and 4g still good bargain.

  • thanks! got a Breville The Smart Kettle 1.7 Litre capacity for $108 - for Mothers Day

  • +1

Thanks OP. Grabbed a stick blender from TGG for $75.40 shipped ($5 postage wasn't worth getting out of bed and going in store to pick up).

    http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/141439811104

Appliances Online had the same model for $139 before discount: http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/281489679198

  • Anyone seen GTA V for PC? I checked yesterday but could only find console versions on the ebay stores. Maybe they can't do pre-orders on eBay.

    • GTA V pc was under $30 a while ago (digital edition from nuuvem or green man gaming)

  • +1

Appliances Online put there price up on a watched item which actually works out MORE expensive with the discount, what a joke!!

    • I bought an oven from appliances online ebay this morning..have been watching the oven price for 4 days now, thankfully they didnt jack that up, and got free delivery. even without the 20% off it was cheaper than HN and TGG, plus both those others charge for delivery.

      • Well done, at least someone come out ahead with AO! :)

  • is this ok?

Panasonic DMR-HW220 1TB Twin Tuner Player
    $299, now $239

I only need it for FTA tv recording, it was released in 2012 but on Panasonic's website its still the current model?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Panasonic-DMR-HW220-1TB-Twin-Tune…

    • +2

Warning. No pre 2016 Panasonic DMR devices (Recorders) will have access to the Australian Netflix app ever according to the Panasonic website (referenced via whirlpool). If you want the Netflix app you must wait for and buy the yet to be released 2016 models. Overseas models have no issue running said app so looks like this is just Panasonic ripping off Aussie buyers. Not a good look Panasonic.

  • say the note 4 dies within warranty - do we go direct to samsung or back to good guys..?

    • +1

any. u can go tgg and they take care of it or u diy (submit req and take so nearest centre)

    • +1

      either

  • QNAP TS-431 $447 (kogan hk, 12 month warranty and not the normal 24 months), $357.60 after discount
Western Digital WD40EFRX RED NAS 4TB $272 (PC Case Gear), $217.60 after discount

the WD is cheaper on PC Case Gear's website, jacked up on ebay. but both with the coupon code are cheaper than anything else from a google search.

if you are keen on the Synology DS415play, it's $700 less discount = $560 (kogan hk). DS414 is $650 less disc = $520.

  • I was hoping to score a cheap 2014 model for my wife like the one I have given the 2015 models are so much more expensive. I got the retina display 2.6ghz 128gb ssd model for $1409 delivered from Dick Smith in October.

Kogan look to be the only one selling, and the only ones in the ballpark are these two:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-13-MacBook-Pro-ME865x-A-2-4…

This one looks to be an older model? Not sure. Probably not great value.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-13-MacBook-Pro-MGX72xx-A-2-…

I think this one is the model I have, looks very similar anyway. It comes to about $10 more than I paid back in October, and its a grey import. Does that matter with Macs? Not that keen on paying $10 more, 6 months later for a grey import, but Dick Smith don't seem to stock them anymore (makes sense, newer model coming in) and I'm worried I'll be stuck having to fork $1800 for an entry level MacBook after the 2014 models dry up.

Someone give me some advice :(

    • "I was hoping to score a cheap 2014 model for my wife"
lol are u buying a new wife? hehe

      • +1

I thought he was adopting a 2014 child

      • +2

Can't afford to upgrade my wife, so I need to maintain this one with a new Macbook Pro :D

    • They both look really similar but the dearer one is slightly lighter so I guess that one must be the newer model?

      • +1

Yeah I think so too, just not sure whether to buy at that price given :|

    • Just a note, I've recently bought macbook pro and macbook air. The ones from kogan state they're imported. IE you wont get the 2 year warranty by ACCC.

  • +9

Well this is quite strange, instead of dse raising prices they have kept yesterdays one days sale prices up

    • Yes, worked out well for me. Hopefully all those who have complained in the past are saying good things today.

    • Yeah, I guess the haters over the last few days will publicly apologise and retract their negs (dream sequence music plays).

DS have a patchy record, but they have done some good deals too. It is worth waiting to see the facts before jumping in with criticisms…

  • +1

Is the Note 4 a worthy upgrade from the Nexus 5?
    Thanks

    • it probably is due to battery alone. Plus the new lolipop toucwiz is less bloated and less on the nose!

      • less on the nose?

Pity it is 805 … 805 might not be large improvement on 800?

        • +1

the new touchwiz is less 'ugly' (in the past, Samsung's custom android skin layer was considered a bit ugly compared to beautiful skin free stock Android that is designed by Google for Nexuses)

        • That's just how Qualcomm is naming their SOCs now. No big jumps.

805 is two processors above 800. There was an 801 before it.

          The next is 810.

Don't expect big jumps like 400-600-800.

      • Lollipop touchwiz for Note 4? Haven't got 5.0 for my Note Edge yet. Is this available only for Note 4?

        • it is out for the note 4 in certain countries so Aus should be in the next month I am guessing?

    • Yes.

  • any good bargains on ADSL 2+ Modem Router?

  • I think this is a good price for local stock given DWI still sells for $505. Not sure how to click and collect though regardless the site says we can do c&c. I'm going overseas soon and don't want to risk the post being late. BTW, anyone knows if we can have the products in checked in baggage while claiming TRS or need to show the actual products at the counter? Thanks

  • Any notable DSLR camera deals?

  • Note 3 is gone. Anyone have a link to the G3? I need a new phone. Thanks

    • Kogan is your best bet. 32gb for less than $450 ;)

  • +4

Quite a few people have benefited from this post but have somehow neglected or forgotten to up-vote the deal.
Please show some appreciation and encouragement to the OP with your vote. Thank You.

    • +2

Whilst I agree with up-voting deals if you benefit from them I'm not sure encouraging the OP in this case is really needed. It's more important on deals that took a lot of effort to find. If OP didn't post this there'd be 100s of other ozbargainers that would've instead

    • If people really want other people to up-vote this deal, it is best not to keep on mentioning it. The reasons are:
      (1) People will be less incline to do it
      (2) Honestly, people still need to do price checks. For example, there is an SSD I am thinking about buying, but it is not the lowest price ever based on OZB deals. It might be the cheapest for now. In that case, I am unsure whether it deserves a plus. I understand it is due to eBay charging 10% so retailers need to factor that in when pricing items on eBay, but I found that I have to spend a lot of time checking prices and still need to think about whether the item I am interested in is really a bargain.

  • Bought an Intel i7-4790S CPU from Kogan for $324.77 AUD. To be shipped from HK. <- Anything I should look out for here? I know warranty might be a little different but CPUs aren't like motherboards.

    $405.96 AUD
    Other discounts -$81.19 AUD
    Total $324.77 AUD

    • +2

Should you ever need warranty, contact Intel directly. They will pay FedEx to pickup and deliver your chip.

The 4790S is the low multiplier (locked) low power (65W vs. 88W for normal or K chips), much lower clocked (3.2GHz vs. 4GHz) version of the chip though, so it's not something I usually look for.

They're normally used by OEMS in their very small for factor, or all-in-one systems.

      • Yeah, I'm not planning on overclocking and I'm aware of the lower clock. Still better than the i5 I was going to get for around the same price locally though.

4790S is also available locally in retail box and Kogan mentions nothing about OEM.

Just worried about warranty/any issues I might encounter with a CPU imported from HK.

        • No warranty issues. I would even skip going back to local stores for Intel warranty, and go directly to them.

The last CPU I had replaced a few months back (i7 2700K), it took them 6 days to pickup my dead chip from Perth, and deliver me a new replacement.

'S' chips are just pigs to overclock.

Bought Miller Air Video tripod from TEDS online. Between adding it to my Cart and checking out the price increased. Dont know if there is someone watching what people add to their cart and then jacking the prices up ??

Wasnt a huge amount $10 and it still ended up a lot cheaper than I can get elsewhere - but never the less annoying

  • Has anyone even heard of the Sony Xperia C3
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-Xperia-C3-Dual-Sim-D2502-8GB…

$247 seems good for a 5.5 inch dual sim phone

    • 1GB Ram And 8GB Rom, no good.

    • +1

If having a large screen is important, then this name-brand device is 'ok' for the price.

The closest competitor to it, is the HTC desire 816 (more RAM (1.5GB vs. 1GB), faster CPU, better camera). I suggest looking at that too.

  • Was just about to order the Note 4 and they just ended it because of no stock!
